This is personal so please be courteous with your comments.

I have a married female cousin who takes church serious more than her life, well I don't wanna waste your time with that part of the story.

I have tried to help her husband and her financially for a long time now and I'm afraid I've turned from helper to head of household, not funny. I jokingly told them to hang their boots after they had their fourth child but as I'm typing this, baby five just landed.

Their first son just got admitted into Unilag and guess who they called to help. I've severally decided to stop helping but thoughts of those lovely kids of theirs have always affected my decisions.

I told the newly college admitted boy to open a bank account so that I can channel my help properly but her mum said he wasn't 18 yet so she would be the one running the account until then.

A little background story.

My cousin is a graduate but helps her husband in an imaginary business of his which I have put in like N10m if not more yet nothing to show for it. I later switched to helping my cousin get a job, she ended up getting duped of the money meant to pursue the job Nigerianly.

She was/is my favourite cousin growing up and she was more than a nanny to my sister and I when we were little.

How can I put an end to this madness without feeling guilty about the kids? Mind you, I love their kids very much.

Focus: A Sin without Forgiveness

WORD FOR TODAY
Unforgiveness is an unpardonable offence before God. Only the merciful will receive mercy from God!!!
************************************
Scriptural Reference
"For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins. (Matthew 6:14-15 NIV)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
One of those things we cannot but experience in the land of the living is that we will be offended and also offend others. Irrespective of what any man do to offend you; try as much as possible to forgive such.
Forgiveness is an important prerequisite if your prayers will be answered. It is a very serious issue before God to the extent that whatever you offer in the presence of unforgiveness is unacceptable before Him.
As far as God is concerned, there is no sin too big that is not pardonable and there is no man who is not an offender before Him.
No matter how holy or righteous you think you are, the fact still remains that you will need the mercy of God to make Heaven because the righteousness of a man is regarded as filthy rag before Him and what qualifies a man to receive His mercy is that he is also merciful enough to forgive those who offended him.
___________________________________
Question For Meditation:
+ Is there any one that offended you and you vowed never to forgive?
Prayer Point:
Lord! I receive the grace not to give room to root of bitterness in my heart; grant me a gentle heart like thee in Jesus name. Amen!!!
Main Emphasis:
You don't have right to forgiveness if you refuse to forgive those who offended you!!!
Have a Wonderful Worship Experience!!!
Please how long does it take God to answer our prayers regarding Nigeria? since i was born and now that i'm in my early 30's, we'v been praying for Nigeria and instead of positive change, what i see now is negative changes. i believe traveling out of this country is the best thing and the best prayer to pray to God, for an opportunity to come our way.
Tears in my eyes.
Ebullience:
The Police, Monday, discovered another torture centre meant to be a reformation place for children with character deformation in Daura, Katsina state.
Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari is a native of Daura.
TVC reports that the Police raided the centre following a riot by the inmates over excessive abuses.
The centre is being operated by one Malam Bello in Daura town and had been in existence for decades.
Last month, a similar centre with over 400 inmates was discovered in Kaduna state.
its all depend on where you reside. because same thing happened to me bro. my girl is from a middle wealth family, she was not use to going out and all sorts even worsen than yours. i am from a poor background, though we reside in same area with my family later decided to lost myself. i mean i left my father's house to stay alone, Oshodi to be precised, ghetto area where bad guys and girls lives. so one day, i decided to invite her over to my place, when she came, she saw the ghetto live. i kept inviting her over and over and before i knew it, she started blending up with the ghetto live. now as i'm typing here, she has over exposed than people she met in the ghetto. one thing i respect her for is that she doesn't cheat on do all sorts of rubbish you may think. so i believe location can expose that kind of person. just try and take her on a visit to all these area like Mushin, Ajegunle, Oshodi, Agege, and sooo. then you will think me later.
ginaolo:
Hi
I’ve been with a lady for some time now but I’m starting to have doubts about this girl.
My main concern is that she is too reserved and she doesn’t like to do anything that involves people. I come from a big family unit and she’s always avoiding family get togethers, outings, even to meet my friends and socialise with them is a huge problem. We’ve gone out very few times, she’s met my mum and a few friends, but she avoids meeting them most time. I addressed it to her and she claims she has social anxiety but for how long can I continue like this? All she wants to do is be at home. My family are already starting to get the wrong impression of her and they believe she is proud. I know my older sister is not too fond of her because of her quiet nature and I think this will take a toll on us in the future if we get married. I don’t want a wife that cannot do basic things like go out with me to events or represent me well. I don’t want a wife that will be hiding in the house 24/7.
Another thing is that she has some stubborn traits in her. She’s a lovely woman, she’s very kind, compassionate and she motivates me a lot. When she’s around me alone she’s very cool, but when it comes to going out and doing things, she starts acting up. I cannot deal with her shy nature as it’s too much and it’s becoming embarrassing. She’s 24. What do I do please?
Travel / Re: Nigerians In Diaspora Should Learn Good Behavior. by lavenjcrown(m): 2:40pm On Sep 28, 2019
well said. you are just like me.
MiztaYouneek:
Let me first of all say that I am not trying to be tribalistic here or referring to all Nigerians in diaspora as the same. I know there are many good and humble fellows out there who know why they left Nigeria and are making positive impacts.
I lived in a country years back which was dominated by the yorubas and if you see how some of them behave you will really ponder how they keep succeeding in living in that country. No respect for their host citizens, always feeling they own the country especially some that have made money. I was in a Nigerian restaurant one day and one man who was older than me came and started speaking Yoruba for me just like that. Out of respect I told him I don't understand the language and then he asked me if I wasn't a Nigerian. I told him I was a Nigerian but obviously Nigeria is not an all Yoruba country. The had the guts to open that stinking mouth of his that I know is already caused to tell me that I should question God to ask why I wasn't born a Yoruba. I know for sure they must have deported him by now or he might be in prison or something because I don't see such kind of a person making any positive impact in his life.
That aside I also had other terrible experiences with these yoruba people but I can't share all here. The main point is that not all of them had bad characters but the majority of them that did have bad characters sometimes affect all Nigerians in general even those with good characters.
Years later I have moved to a very different country which is more of a French speaking country and it is dominated more by the igbos. Over here is worse than the other country dominated by yorubas. Many of these igbo guys have no atom of respect at all for their host citizens. They feel they are making money and always trying to oppress their host citizens. Sometimes if you see how they talk and insult the citizens in English without any consideration that some of these citizens understand English a little. What surprises me most times is when some of these people will be insulting the host citizens saying things like if it was in Nigeria they can't do such and how Nigeria is better than the country, but they left the same Nigeria they say is better to another country not like if the host country invited them. It is really sad because I believe only some few people who have really travelled will understand the little points am trying to make.
Just last night, I was with an igbo guy who runs a legit business and we were on our way home because we stay in same neighborhood. On the way we noticed a lot of police presence but we just kept moving. Immediately we got close to a junction we saw two police officers who stopped us and they were speaking French so I didn't understand what they said. The guy I was walking with understands and speak french very well so he was communicating with them. The only thing I noticed was that they were pointing somewhere for us to sit down just like on the ground. I peacefully went to sit down and this other guy refused to sit and kept talking to one of the police. I didn't know what was going on as there were other people around as well but all speaking French so I signaled the other police that was close to me and told him I don't understand French but I needed to know what the problem is. Luckily for me he could understand English and he asked me for my identification. I reached out to my wallet and showed him then he asked if I was a Nigerian and I said yes. He then told me I can go because all they wanted to see was my identification so he called the other police and told him I don't understand French but I had shown him my identification and they both asked me to go. That was when I realized that all those plenty talk my friend was talking was unnecessary because they only needed to see our identification. I then called him aside and told him to calm down and speak with them gently but to my surprise he brought out his phone and said he wants to call some of his other police friends. I believe that angered one of the police and the next thing I saw was that they started pushing him to go and sit down where they initially asked us to sit. He kept on resisting while speaking French with them and the next thing I saw was two truck load policemen. Seems they were all together doing the patrol around the area and the whole story changed immediately. The environment became intense and that's how they pushed this guy into the truck with other people that they had arrested as well.
As for me, when I saw the way everything got intense I had no choice but to leave the place and started running home. Like that old saying "na who run from war dey live to tell the story". And that is what I am doing. Up till now he has not been released and no one knows yet where he is.
The bottom line of this all is that, though I know he will be released, it was just a very simple matter that would have been avoided by just being humble and able to show some respect that would have solved the problem and prevented any form of arrest in that forceful manner.
I don't see what it takes for us as Nigerians, no matter the money we are making, to always be humble to our host and respect them irrespective of age or anything. We have to learn to stop that attitude of I am better than my host and Nigerians have more sense than they do.
Whenever you travel out to wherever, please learn to show more respect and always be humble no matter how rich you think you have become.
Hmmm.... another animal must have slept with the female Zebra.
NaijaNews101:
Rare Zebra spotted in Kenya (photos)
Photos of a young Rare Zebra at the Maasai Mara Reserve in Kenya has gone viral following its unique stripes which is different from the wild life’s distinctive black-and-white striped coats. Antony Tira, the renowned guide who shared photos of the young Rare Zebra named ‘Tira’ said he thought it was deliberately painted for purposes of migration.
“At first I thought it was a zebra that had been captured and painted or marked for purposes of migration. I was confused when I first saw it,” he told Nation.
However Zoologists have revealed that the Zebra which was one week old when the photos were taken has a rare melanin disorder. Zebras are orgininally not black and white animals, their stripes are simply an adaptation of nature.
The default colour of a zebra is black but the white stripes are formed from the inhibition of melanin. It is an adaptation of nature which scientists believe is meant to keep insects at bay, as the monochrome pattern seems to throw off the visual systems of flies.
G1STMORE:
Residents flee from their houses in the early hours of Thursday as pipeline along Ijegun axis of Satellite town was gutted by inferno.
There is still contemplation on the main cause of the inferno as fire fighter from the terminal just arrived at the scene, trying to extinguish the fire.
Satellite Town, Lagos is a community and state housing estate located along the Lagos-Badagry Expressway in Amuwo-Odofin local government area of Lagos State.
The community has about 12 tank farms operating in the community, some of which are A.A. RANO, Emadeb Energy, Wosbab, Chipet Nig. Ltd., Star Oil and Gas and Bond Global Energy Ltd. “Others are Mao Petroleum Company, Stallionaire Nig. Ltd., First Deep Water, Menj Oil and Ocean Pride Oil.
It has been alleged that all the tank farms did not have a fire-fighting boat in case of fire in their depots.
Meanwhile, Ibassa Ijegun-Egba Youth Association in the Ojo Local Government Area of Lagos State had pleaded with the state government to remove tank farms from the community, due to incessant fire incidents at the tank farms.
The association’s reaction came against the backdrop of the fire incident that razed an oil tank farm belonging to Stallionaire Oil at Ijegun, Satellite town, Lagos State. As at the time of the report, the fire is yet to be extinguished.
mere looking at his face, you will know that this idiot is a wicked person. i just keep disliking him anytime i sees his pictures.
pressmanng:
Adamawa-North lawmaker, Senator Elisha Abbo, has been drawn into a fresh scandal as a photojournalist, Olumuyiwa Owolabi, has accused him of assault and breach of agreement.
Owolabi told The PUNCH that Abbo not only assaulted him but got the police to lock him up in Adamawa.
He said he first met Abbo in 2014 during the run-up to the June 2014 Ekiti State governorship election which Ayodele Fayose won.
Owolabi said, “On approaching Senator Abbo to enforce the contract agreement we had, he refused to pay. He ignored several pleas for him to just give me part of my money.
“On the fateful day we wanted to travel together to Mubi for the last campaign, Boko Haram invaded the place prior to the day we ought to have travelled. Due to the attack by Boko Haram, I began to plead with him that I needed to leave the state.
“After several text messages and calls put through to him were ignored, I had no choice but to sit in front of his room where he was lodged at Dansoho Hotel, Yola. This was around 5pm.”
The photojournalist alleged that when Abbo saw him, he got so angry that he began to beat him, slapping him repeatedly.
Owolabi said Abbo quickly called a policeman and told the cop that he was a Boko Haram suspect and should be arrested immediately.
The photojournalist further stated, “As soon as he came out, I began to plead with him that I had to go. The next thing he said was that I was embarrassing him. He started beating and slapping me. He told his orderly to put me inside the pickup truck. He told them to point their guns at me and that he would kill me and tell people I was a member of Boko Haram.
“When I heard that statement, I was shocked because I didn’t know anybody there and I couldn’t speak their language fluently. No one could come to my rescue when he brutalised me, causing me to sprain my ankle.
“I began begging him to just leave me and let me go that I would leave the money for him because of his action.”
He alleged that Abbo’s police escort took him to Kaliwa Police Division around 2am with the instruction that he should be shot dead if he failed to comport himself.
Owolabi said Abbo had broken his phone at the time and so he was locked up in the police station without any means of contacting anyone.
The photojournalist added, “He had damaged my phone I couldn’t contact anybody; he tore my clothes and I was virtually naked.
“That very night, on getting to Kaliwa police station, I begged the investigating police officer to please let me use his phone to talk to one of my relatives. That was how I called one of my brothers that pleaded with the IPO to assist me out of the situation.
“The DPO came the following morning and begged him (Abbo) to give me transport fare to go back to meet my family. Till date, he hasn’t paid me the money.”
The photojournalist, who pleaded with Nigerians to help him, also shared photos of private chats he purportedly had with the senator.
Attempts to speak with the senator proved abortive as calls put through to his telephone indicated that it was switched off while a text message was not responded to as of 7am on Thursday.
