PoliticsRe: If You Had The Chance To Choose A Tribe, Which Would You Have Chosen? by lawani(m): 6:03pm On Jan 24, 2025
According to the research I did with.the IFA divination system, we choose our parents while in heaven and we can only incarnate through our descendants. When you give birth as a man, you are giving birth to an incarnation of one of your ancestors or an incarnation of one of your spiritual children that you gave birth to in heaven. Cross incarnation between cultures can only happen as a result of intermarriage.
PoliticsChina's Sovereign Wealth Fund by lawani(op):
China's sovereign wealth fund

361.7 billion dollars was made in profit by state owned companies in China in only one year!. China is living the dream of the founders of the Oodua group in the defunct Action Group of Nigeria. When the WNDC was established in 1959 that was the dream. Now, no one really knows the asset size of the Oodua group. It is a closely guarded secret. China's sovereign wealth fund is worth a staggering 12.6 trillion dollars as at today.

In short, China made more than ten times the 2025 budget of Nigeria from the business interests or profit seeking ventures of the Chinese government in China and all over the world and China is not up to ten times the population of Nigeria. This is a remarkable feat. I am not sure but I think the biggest of these ventures must be the Chinese Energy company that generates and distributes power for the over one billion Chinese.

This will erase the right to create LCDAs by states. It is better that federal allocations go to states alone while a law is made that a certain percentage should be shared to local governments including LCDAs. The local governments should not deal directly with the federal by taking allocations directly. They are not federating units. The states are the federating units. This issue is over flogged because a local government can sue the state for withheld funds and even get paid damages if not that there is no true democracy at local government level in most states.

CareerRe: For Those Earning Over ₦1,000,000 Monthly, What Do You Do To Secure Such Income? by lawani(m): 10:39am On Jan 20, 2025
In second tier Nigerian cities you can earn up to that only as a business owner but in first tier cities many people earn more than that as salaries. Those first tier cities are more expensive to live in.

I have fought for resource control more than you until I realized it will not change much even for the oil bearing states.

So your problem is English?
I am just saying if the other problems are addressed, then the problem of lingual franca will remain. I am Yoruba and the population of Yoruba in west Africa alone is very high. The right way forward is to preserve their language as lingual franca in a sovereign country while English is just taught in schools. National language and identity is part of nation building. Same applies to other ethnic groups.

Poverty of the Mind .your sell your house raise 20000 pounds to End up working cleaning poo for old Oyinbos how come Chadian , South Africa don't think that way .
Oyinbos don't even have the 20000 pounds without loans
You are right in that Northerners are more grounded in the economy while southerners spend hard earned resources to travel and those are resources that could help the economy here but there is an advantage there too because they will have top notch experience in different fields and will be able to assist in nation building when the leaders here are ready to start.

We have the Money ! And Million of your sisters are doing Hookup up and down in all dating site
We have the Money All Your youths are busy Harassing buses in park Owomida
We have the Money Italy is littered with Sex workers from South
We have the Money Southern Nigerian are treated like lepers in South Africa , hated in India
We have the Money. Ever week FBI arrest your kins for Fraud
We have the Money ! Or Money Rituals Ogun state is now crime sense

This Lagos where hum live like pigs in ijora ,mushin , ajegunle
It is better to direct your energy to making Northern state governments to generate revenue like Lagos and Rivers and not depend on federal allocations. In the best run countries in the world, fifty percent of GDP is taken as taxes for education, free health and infrastructure for all. Then the people that travel abroad apart from for prostitution are not poor people. Poor people are trapped where they are. They won't be able to raise the money to travel. All states that depend on allocations are lazy governments both North and South. They have tens of billions of dollars of GDP but have no IGR. That is laziness.

1. The problem was, as you said, Yoruba land was divided. For a united Yoruba land...Aare Latosisa would have had to fight a unification war (like they did in Japan in the 17th century) and then find ways to start modernising. Fast.

2. Japan had had some exposure to European ideas before the Americans came in 1850's....so they had a base to start on. Yoruba land did not have that advantage much.

3. Japan was also not very resource rich. And the Europeans were more interested in the bigger price of China.

4. Brazil was not a strong enough country to influence international affairs. Russia was not interested in Africa then, USA....racist polity. Only interest they had in Africa was Liberia. Yorubaland had no external helpers then.

5. For Yoruba land to have been modernized like Japan...you needed a

a) Good enough writing system...it does not have to be indigenous (Japan borrowed their writing system from China self).
b) Sort out your unification problems hundreds of years before hand.
c)Have some exposure to european ideas
d) Have a strong motivated leader...like the Meiji emperor of Japan.
e).Be ready to accept foreign advisiors who would help with the development.

All in all, Yorubaland did not have those advantages.
The Japanese still fought a civil war in the nineteenth century. Then we could say the Yoruba were as integrated with the west as was Japan. Written script was not a problem, there was Ajami already for centuries and the Latin script was already copied. Everything is copy and paste then you improve upon it
