Christianity EtcRe: Independence And Statehood For The Kurds Is Imminent by lawani(m): 10:27am On Jul 31, 2025
They are not the largest stateless group. There are many others who don't have exclusive control over their destinies. For example, Yoruba. How is the condition of the Yoruba different from the Kurds?. Or the Hausa and the Igbo?. And many others across the world?
I hope they get a sovereign state but if they don't, they should at least be able to control their destiny in any country they find themselves. They should be able to police themselves, use their language and etc.
Christianity EtcRe: Were The Jews Right To Execute Jesus Christ? by lawani(op):
MaxInDHouse:
The Jews were wrong!
The first prophet given the power to perform miracles like a God is Moses {Exodus 7:1} and God told the Israelites that there has not risen any prophet like him until the end of the old covenant. Deuteronomy 34:10-12
God also told the Israelites that a prophet like Moses will rise among the Israelites {Deuteronomy 18:18} God warned them that whoever failed to listen to this prophet will be condemned {Deuteronomy 18:19} so from that time on the Israelites were looking forward to seeing the promised prophet but none of those who came after Moses proved to be greater than Moses until the day John the baptist began declaring in the wilderness that someone is coming after him who existed before him {John 1:30} everyone knew that John was six months older than Jesus so what exactly did John mean by that statement?
Well John is indirectly telling them that it's time to meet the promised prophet!
Jesus surely proved to be greater than all the prophets put together through his miracles and the Jews acknowledged this but they don't want him for a reason you should know!
The Jews were an arrogant race who feels they are the most important race in all the earth so when Jesus told them that they have to show love to their neighbors by humbly seeking friendship with people who aren't even worshipers of their God they felt that will make them vulnerable to attack from their enemies and most importantly the Romans who are forcefully colonizing them will have a upper hand {John 11:48} that is the very reason why they conspired to have him killed! John 11:53

So he never claimed to be equal with God he said God is GREATER than him! John 14:28

He never claimed to be God rather he said he is one of the worshipers of God and himself with other worshipers are BROTHERS that's what God never said about His worshipers God never called any of His worshipers His brother! John 20:17
If someone said today 'I and the father are one' as Jesus was recorded to have said in John 10:30 would you consider that blasphemous or not?. Let us face it, Jesus was an apostate. The Jews were right to have apostasy laws but it should not have been capital punishment. However Jesus was not the first or last to be executed for apostasy.
Christianity EtcWere The Jews Right To Execute Jesus Christ? by lawani(op): 8:48am On Jul 31, 2025
Were the Jews right to execute Jesus Christ?.

First of all, some people insist it was not the Jews that killed Jesus but the Romans but I do not support this view because Jesus was not a threat to Rome in any way. He did not oppose Roman authority and when according to a Bible account he was prodded by the Jews on Rome, he advised everybody to pay tax to Emperor Caesar. He was not a viable messiah and only viable messiahs with large followings were engaged by Rome. A Jewish messiah is someone that will free their country from Rome as at then and make them sovereign again. Many people that assumed that role were killed by Rome and when their followers still insisted they rose from the dead, a particular one was left in a gulley to rot so that everybody can see he did not rise up again.
Back to the Jews and Jesus Christ. I believe Jesus Christ was killed either directly or indirectly by Jewish theocrats for being an apostate. He broke blasphemy laws. Going by what is happening in today’s world where people are allowed to make all kinds of theological claims and brainwash people causing death and misery all over the world, I believe there should be apostasy laws. People should not be free to publicly make any claim about God that they deem fit. They should especially not be able to make claims putting themselves on super human pedestals. There is nothing any human being is that other human beings can not become and if we don't respect that fact we will have issues in our society. In that light I support the Jews that had apostasy laws to prosecute Jesus Christ with in the first century. Though that was not his name but a Greek alias.
What I don't support is the severity of the sentence.
Jesus Christ was prosecuted by the Jews specifically because he publicly claimed to be greater than David, Moses and etc and went further to say he was equal with God. All in public. He claimed to be a leader (more or less King) of the Jews and the Romans were involved because of that. He however never led any insurrection against Rome and did say that his own Kingdom is in the minds of men. The Romans did not see any reason to convict him and they handed him over to the Jews according to the Bible.
In conclusion, were the Jews right to prosecute Jesus Christ?. Yes but the sentence was too severe. However in the past and even in modern times, sentencing for apostasy are always that severe. Since Jesus, many people have been executed for apostasy.

Suffer head country with irresponsible, reckless and very corrupt system.

Even Neighbouring countries like Benin , Togo and Ghana pay as much as 250k-400k in naira on an average to graduates on entry level.
Let me not even talk about Gambia, Rwanda, Angola and South Africa.
I have been to these places, and I know what I'm talking about.

House officer here in Gambia is receiving nothing less than 800k a month, while in Nigeria, you can't get more than 250k!
Imagine the rubbish, and government expect workers to be loyal and diligent.

All of these nonsense is happening and some state governors are using building of government houses to embezzle billions of naira. Even the president is lavishing millions of dollars on football players.
Gambia must be getting expensive to live in. 800k for house officers is high. In the average Nigerian city that will be too high for a fresh graduate.

PoliticsRe: Uncovering Suppressed Yoruba Histories: Igbo Settlements In Yorubaland by lawani(m):
DNA and linguistics say Yoruba and Igbo share some common ancestors. The languages share many common words like for body parts and etc. One set of ancestors decided not to have kings and be living in villages of maximum 2000 people while the other were living in urban centers that required kings. Both groups mixed with new people and became more distinct from each other. They cut links totally with each other for thousands of years and now have cultures that are radically different. The British have now brought them into the same country. They share a common Y chromosome and the concentration of the Y chromosome is highest among the Yoruba. This means the Igbo are more a creole people than the Yoruba. They are more a mixture.
The name Igbo in my opinion means everybody. We have Ndi Owerri, Ndi Onitsha, Ndi Enugu and etc. When all come together they call themselves Ndigbo which means everybody. Ndi Onitsha for instance means people of Onitsha. The word Igbo or Gbo is a remnant of the ancient language spoken by the common ancestors of both groups. In modern Yoruba it is rendered as gbogbo or gbo. It means all, similar to everybody. The Igbo in Yoruba place names means forest and it is pronounced with a different intonation.
Both groups are like brothers and brothers can have completely different characters. Presently the debate about king or no king have been lost by Igbos since they now live in urban centers that needs sophisticated administrations. The British ended their system and things fell apart for them

That is why our Healthcare, infrastructure, soccer league, higher education system etc continue to be better than your own. We are more inward looking than being random black stars in foreign lands wink
And that is good and it is what every nation should be doing. Nigeria is still a shame but I don't accept that any South African group can match up yet with the Yoruba for instance. You know population is also a factor. Then Yoruba have been building themselves for years when South African ethnic groups were restricted due to apartheid and the gap is not yet closed because post apartheid children are still young. Whether home or abroad when you add everything together the Yoruba is still ahead. Professionals, business, scientists.
However any South African group competing against the Yoruba will just be like Norway competing against the USA in the long run because of the size discrepancy. They can be more successful in some areas but the Yoruba will win with size

Bros, you got it right!

but....the interests on US debts is only suffocating on paper.

The US borrows 'money' from her own Treasury aka US Federal Reserves to pay interest on her debts....which means, they acquire new debts in other to pay interests on existing debts....and the scam goes on and on.

Imagine borrowing money from yourself to pay interest on your debt obligation, is that not scam? If Nigeria and other Africa Countries have inherit Global Trust to do this, we will not be in arms about the rate of borrowing within Africa.

This is all a scam, paper money is a scam and have zero finite value like gold or precious metals.

This scam was perfected when the US pushed to abandon pegging floating currencies to gold reserves...the funny part is, Africa have these gold reserves and precious metal in abundance under our soil and that is real money with finite value.
They are not really borrowing money from the federal reserve in my opinion since it is a US organ. It will count as intra government debt or so. As far as I am concerned, the central bank is a revenue source and should be treated as such and how much to inflate the currency should be determined by the national assembly. I don't really support mining metals to keep in bank safes in the name of sound money though it has its advantages. Fiat money is okay if managed properly. Fiat money has not failed yet and I don't really think it will fail.

AI says the cost of managing the debt is 921 billion dollars per annum as at June 2025. It depends on prevailing interest rates.
Then all countries are doing the same thing and it is only inflation rate meaning level of new currency printing that differs. TB in Nigeria is 19 percent per annum

linearity:
You got most of the narratives right, but you actually missed my major point about using printing a $1 trillion dollar coin to satisfy her debt obligations. I responded somewhat yesterday, but I want to break it down more....

Like you stated, unlike Africa Countries, the US does not go out and borrow cash and no one write them a check. The US sells bonds, treasury notes, etc to the public and these debt instruments are backed by the Full Faith and Credit of the United States of America. Which means, the US Government is telling the holders of these note, we will buy-back your note when matured and presented to us guaranteed, no questions asked period!

And the US have never failed to meet this obligations. The reality is, many people who hold these notes sell them to others to make profit or keep them until the US government call them up so they can be making profit on the interest.

Now in a worst case scenario that I believe will never happen unless there is a worldwide catastrophic, assuming every note holder goes to the US for them to buy-back their notes, the US will back her guarantee even if it means printing up to $1 trillion dollars to buy them back. We know that a scenario where everyone wants a buy-back will never happen unless there is a global melt-down.

Also, there are countries like China that would want to prevent that and would like to buy-back those dollars to prevent the resulting hyperinflation on the dollar. Hyperinflation on the dollars will make the yen and other Countries currencies to be too expensive, which will severely hurt exports from those countries.

Almost everything in the US in made in China, imagine a scenario where the dollar is hyper-weak and the Yen is now like 10 times more expensive than the dollar, the buying power of the dollar would become very weak, and this will force the Chinese Government to print and put out more Yen in circulation in other to weaken the power of the Yen....the Chinese Government has been doing this, hence the US Government call them Currency-Manipulators.

There are more facets to this situation, hence my conclusion is that all these US debts have only paper weight. Had the US currency backed by Gold, it would have been a different situation.

Also, yes printing more dollars will result in hyperinflation, do you know that in the US printing and holding US debt notes is more valuable than holding US dollars? So the US Government by increasing debt and avoiding to print dollars to pay for her obligations, are actually printing a more valuable currency call 'Treasury notes, bonds, etc', in essence the US Government is actually printing money because US notes, bonds, etc are more powerful than money or currencies. They have value on the street, you can exchange them for goods and services, you can trade them, etc.

If I have a lemonade stand and selling each cup for a $1; I will take a $1 US treasury note from a buyer over a $1 US currency.
The US prints the dollar but the amount printed is low compared to the volume in circulation hence the US dollar has one of the lowest inflation of any currency. There is more dollar outside the US than in the US. The only problem in all of this is that the US has to pay interests on all these debts and even the interest is suffocating. The interest is suffocating is the problem. It costs the US 921 billion dollar per annum

You can rise to top management and become a billionaire in a company starting as an employee without owning your own business.

Even if you are doing apprenticeship for those who want it, your real people should be salaried workers, well paid and dedicated to the business. That is the only way to build a big business. Yes, the US innovates BUT for profit reasons. It’s not to improve the life’s of its citizens.

With the whole innovation you talking about, you did think healthcare and medications will be cheap, but it’s one of the most expensive in the world.
You are mostly right. The USA must stop policing the world on their own bill. Peace must be contributed to by every nation.

The problem of the high income world (I will not say rich world) is high cost of living occasioned by over valued real estate. A real estate that is valued 30,000 dollars in a second tier Nigerian city is 500,000 dollars in the high income world. The high cost of rent has driven wages up and jobs overseas. The problem has to be addressed at some point.
As for public debts I think everything should be added together and acquired by the UN which should be funded by member nations.
GDPs too have to be re based because if you check actual consumption outside rent and services, the US can't be even half of China's GDP. Many things have to change

The right status quo for the world

The right status quo for the world is one whereby each government is struggling for people to come, work and pay tax in their country.

However it can only be achieved when the whole world is similarly organized. Not when some nations have all their income earners paying income tax and others don't. Not when life expectancy is high in one country and very low in another.

It can happen but it requires uniformity in organization.
