MatthiasChin:I rarely get repetitive sales. D sales doesn't have pattern or are repetitive. No particular city or niche. They include any city, any state and any niche. My own na if end user dey and no one else has similar variant(outbound) I'm good to go. That way u can get sales through out the year since your portfolio isn't predictive or has a pattern that sometimes may boom in a particular time of the year or not boom at all at certain times. I've already done 2 sales diz month with a portfolio of around 112. I may get one or two sales again to round up the month or even no sales. Whatever! To everyone with his own method that works. Telegram234:Here's a method that I've used to close several deals of this type. Another method is to 'import lead' after few hours if the end user was unable to make the offer. But no change the price....most times I don't. If he say he will pay 100 tell the end user to make the offer of 100 on the Dan lander. See image below, make search engine no capture am. Works for me many times. If he makes the offer then u accept. If he doesn't pay Dan will chase him many times and finally he will pay. I came up with this, during the days when I was experiencing difficulties closing. That way, u don't need to change the bin price incase of some other end users u r reaching to. U can know if it's a serious guy or not. Other times some end user will ask how do I make offer, tell them the button below the BiN price or any jargon. 24 Likes 9 Shares

Most of these economic theories has little to no effect on the brandable market because the end users are mostly startups, big companies and the higher sections of the US population. We could see what happened in the Corona etc...brandable sales were flying left and right. When I'm talking, I mean the Geo domaining community. No matter how you sugar coat it, there has been drop in sales for many; especially the ones entering the industry without a working method. And this thread is a proven example. Tho, for my own geo domaining journey I haven't seen any difference from before and now..still the normal 2-5 sales every month and some month even 10 or 11 since December of 2020, so I have nothing to gain from being pessimistic. I'm just talking about the normal good old days of the thread were every newbie post many sales and some ppl even at their first try they make sale. But I pray it becomes like that again where everyone would be making sales not just few people. Na who give up f"ckup. And it not for those sales that were flying back in the days I don't think I would have the courage to continue till my first sale. Going forward what does this implies for domainers--- A boost or reduction in sales. After all d gbasgbos from Biden & Bubu to naija geo domainers--- then this. Although good one for Africa. This domain something make me respect US economy undoubtedly one of the top domain buyers in the world..like every small household has one small family business and they use domains and banners for outreach..those guys sabi business. This dollar rate has made domain investing hard. These last 8years mehn...even tho, I stumped into the thread in late 2019 and started making sales in 2020 I can say for sure the market hasnt been the same till now... missed the old good days...of sales flying left and right..low exchange rate & more. May we not look back and say the old govt is better than the new one...that seem to be the case with naija! Just hope things fall into place.. 5 Likes |

The reason why is important to avoid registering similar variants to avoid stuff like this in the image below. This domain in question is a very good very good one but u can see how the value is now worthless to the end user. Reason y the end user said even if he were to pitched Google..for 1usd he wouldn't bite. More like is frustrated. And u can see how polite he was. Moreso, u'd observe most of the names that tend to sell high and fast are new names combo without the similar variants littered everywhere. I.e the recent @PROTOCOL sales & other creative emds. Talking of virgin end users in another angle. If everyone can avoid this similar variant of a thing; I think we all are going to see a significant increase in sales through rate. Doesn't really matter whether u r putting a 300usd Bin or 10k Bin on the lander. The most important thing is, hasn't someone else contacted the end user recently with another variant and a different price tag. But I know that isn't possible cause some of us are even the proponents. You see the similar variants littered in DAN u say to yourself I get oil for head and I sabi pass all those guys I go sell am now now. U go ahead to register cause you've had couple of those kind of sales. Furthermore, with this, you wouldn't want to blame those set of ppl that aren't proponents of sharing sales to avoid their combos and unique angle littered everywhere. Like everything in life sometimes you got to give back to source as an obligation even though it might come to bite a little. But humanity over all. That 's' at the back has made the domain look like a repository site. Where u can go to browse all pizza restaurants in Seattle. Now ask urself, who are Ur end users? Ur end users wouldn't be the restaurant owners but rather a blogger, a site developer...now u can see u have very small to zero end user. Except if u r willing to turn the domain into a site or blog to give info of all the pizza outlets in Seattle otherwise the value is zero. Moreso, do Americans use RESTAURANT? Alhamdullahi Random sales. Sales through rate around 50% & port size within 100. I don't register similar variant that any another user has registered. I see many names that drop and I check Dan to see similar ones of other users in this thread and other domainers I just ignore and move to the next. Sometimes very sweet tempting names from prominent users in this thread but I just ignore move to the next. Nobody go at least say I dey spoil market for am. @Therealmccain The most annoying is those newbies that beg for infos and assistance and after that they blur out their first 100 USD sale. Like we all that share are stupid. And they go on to brag. It is only rational that to whom much is given much is expected. Many just want to take- take -take and not give back. Others embark in unethical practices -too in a haste and don't want to go slow.... in a hurry even if it involves spamming etc. Cursing other members! Lastly, common sense would tell u the user @PROTOCOL is an old user from the name..a generic name in nairaland user name probably back to when the forum started. Now tell me what will be the gain of this users if he post fake sales...to what gain. What will he gain. Instead of us to be happy one of us is making 5fig sales so we can all humbly learn from his inputs and methodologies instead some ppl always looking at the negative side. I don't care whether it's a fake sale or not, but I know at least this user @PROTOCOL would inspire someone to put in more efforts. We shouldn't treat domain as gambling like luck (Forex, betting, nfts..etc) u register plenty without proper digging and work and hope for one or two sales. But rather as a serious business one needs to put work in research before spending 10dols. This doesn't mean d names with no wouldn't sell--like every thing in life the luck factor comes but are we going to treat it as luck or a serious business model. Borntosmoke:Auto is bots..bots aren't 100% accurate. So u tend to message wrong users...or the main guy(CEO) isn't reached. If more end users of wrong location or wrong services begin to tag Ur email as spam..before u know it..Ur email no go dey hit inbox. I prefer d manual method..because I know 99% of the time is getting to d real service, location & business--no room for spamming. I've done domains with over 2K end users manually one at a time. Alhamdullahi. 1st sale of 2023. After 11 follow-ups. Initial Bin price last year was 500. Decided to reach out again this year for the second phase before I let the domain expire. So the new bin was 200. Got an offer of 100 and accepted--we move. I wanted not to reach out again to the end users because my new year resolution is to ensure I only sell names I would have bought if I were the end user. ..cause, their wasn't an 's' in the 'rental' figured out the one with the s is more preferred; although like some businesses adopt the singular... But in this case, the domain had upto 450 end users. So one mind just said I should reach out...and it clicked on the first mail. More sales to everyone. 37 Likes 5 Shares

My Outbound Journey of 2022. Sold 52 domains in 2022. Gross around 14K. That's like 700K salary in naija every month. Average of 4 sales every month. No month without a sale since 2021. Portfolio size: around 120 now down to 80+ Highest sale in November: 10 sales. October & December 6 sales. From October to December I stopped most work: buying and outbounding & just trying to reach out to end users again. I outbound from Tuesday to Thursdays. And in the evening from 5pm downwards for better response. If I become more serious I may decide to increase the momentum( higher portfolio size) but for now I'm ok with this. If u r doing outbounds take advantage of January to pile up two to three sales as that might b d bedrock for subsequent months...things tend to slow down until the ember months again. What's your BEST DOMAIN INVESTMENT & Worst of 2022? Worst: sold this brandable= nutrizol/king for 1998 used almost 80% of the proceedings to buy worthless trending names of 2022 in the verse and web3 niche thanks to the influence of a telegram domain investing group I found myself instead of using and sticking to Beckplanet strategy which kind of wanted to work in 2021....lesson learned & experience is the best teacher. Now I dey so leave that telegram group. I'm not even in any group. Sticking to NL, Twitter, Podcast, namepros & other blogs in 2023 if God keeps us alive. Money wey I for use for dirty December. Lesson==observe the year and stick to any strategy that worked for the next year. Best: I got hold of a bulk purchase of some couple geos in law niche domains about 21 of them via Sav for 6.99 around 150 investment and have sold more than half for an average price of 200. I was sceptical at first to bulk buy but thanks to God that I pulled the trigger and saw value in the names. At that time SAV weren't doing domain PUSH; so I had to wait for 3 months to outbound the domains. Lesson==sometimes u got to pull the trigger.
