kagari: This wasn't what you said earlier, Maybe you were having comprehension issues. Read what I wrote earlier again. Secondly south Africa only transits in Perth asides its mandatory layover in south Africa, before getting to Sydney I don't know much about South Africa policy that was why I referred him to make more enquiries. cc: Solitin40 |

kagari: You need a transit visa, don't put people in trouble
Stop copying and pasting fares you don't understand the rules guiding it. Every fare has its rules, I still maintain you keep shot in what you don't know
If one with knowledge corrects you, you listen cause that is the only way you can grow in interlect I still maintain that a transit visa is not required while in Singapore as long as he purchased the trip from South Africa to Sydney in one ticket. He can do it via Singapore Airline. What I am not sure of is that of the requirements of the trip from Lagos to South Africa. cc: Solitin40 |

Frenchfriez: Good day house. Pls I plan on making trips to the UK and US in the coming weeks. Would be going to the UK on a business visa.I plan on spending about a month in the UK. Is it ok if I applied for a US visitor's visa while in the UK or do I have to return to naija to reapply for a US visa? Thanks I don't think you can apply for a US Visa from the UK because you are not a resident of the UK. So your best bet is to apply for the US Visa here in Nigeria before embarking on the UK trip. If you do and get the Visa, you can travel to the States from the UK. |

vanod: Good evening house, please help a brother.
Please i filled in my DS-160 form that i will be traveling January 29, and my interview date is 22 January. hope is not too prompt. I am asking if that would raise issues? please help. It will not raise issues neither will it count against you. However it's always advisable to book ahead of your scheduled travel. This is because the three days period for stamping of visa, if interview is successful, is not cast on stone. I've seen scenarios where it took almost a month to issue a visa to someone after he had a successful interview. |

Adeosas: she got her visa tbough the said she is not allowed to be interviewd due to her age.i guess i will reapply but can i go through d invitation process or i should go through tourist purpose? I advice you reapply once there's a change in your situation. If not you'll most likely get the same response. Mum got her Visa cos she's got greater ties here in Nigeria: Her Age (VOs are very knowledgeable of our tradition and they know every aged person wants to be close to his or her home before their demise) and Her family (children, grandchildren and great grand-). She's more likely to come back to Nigeria. That's why she got it even without going for an interview. But for you, they are not sure you'd come back. Travelling to the States shouldn't be a do-or-affair. I recommend you follow Mayorr89's advice. All the best. |

Adeosas: I was denied on 3rd of tnis month at US lagos embassy at 10:45.am.i have all d document send by my brotherinlaw he is a Citizen while my elder sis is an LPR holder.there two kids are citizen too infact im so confused .i was denied at abuja 2016 3rd march because is based on tourist visa now i was invited for my nephew baptism and christening because im her God mother.my brotherinlaw is my sponser and also im to bring her mum who is 80yrs old to the US.now i do hear i can reapply immediately and i do hear 90days so confused.some say reapply at abuja where you apply before or lagos plss you guy should help me and tell me what to do.im self employed i have Good business that fetch millons every 6months in my current and savings also i have a young teen daughter who is in secondary school.i know thats my strong ties to my own knowledge.i have used my passport to travel to west africa countries only maybe thats the reason why.
My transcript: Vo:are you to New york? Me:yes Vo:what do u do? Me:i own a boutique here in Nigera Vo:do u have a child?? Me:yes,im a single mother Vo:is there any body working with you?? Me:yes,i have a sales girl Vo:which institution do u attend?? Me xyz university He is in window 6 young guy ohh He later gave me 214b paper....i was surprise he did not even ask me if is on visting or not.i was very very mad.tnough is my sis that filled the form there.we wanted to go as group the husbNd mother,me and brotherinlaw we paid 600$ later the said d old woman did not need interview.that money d did not refund it to them.my sis have to paid another money for me since d brotherinlaw cannot meet d requirements for his own incase d vo askes him.so the choose me to come with his mum .now can i reapply immediately because the dedication is on 21st or i should tell them to postponed it since i was not given.thanks waitng for your reply. Having a relative in the States is not a guarantee you will get the Visa whether a citizen or no citizen. In fact having a relative there means you really have to demonstrate strong ties to Nigeria. Based on your info, your only strong tie is your daughter. Maybe you can reapply when your condition changes eg. more kids, business growth, marriage, more travel history, etc. I have a question. What about mum, did she get the visa or was denied as well? |

Solitin40: I will need transit visa for this ? I'm not quite sure. But I think a transit visa would not be needed. However the South African Airline might demand for a South African Visa since they are not the one taking you directly to Australia. You shouldn't need a transit visa in Singapore. But you can ask a Travel Agent for more clarification. You may also wish to go with the Turkish Airline option. |

Solitin40: I will go with the first option where is your office located? I am not a travel agent. I am a traveller just like you. I recommend you visit the two airline sites and book yourself with your ATM Card. South Africa Airways website is www.flysaa.com . When booking, select Lagos to Johannesburg flight, choose February 6 and select the time: 10:15pm. Singapore Airline website is www.singaporeair.com . When booking, select Johannesburg to Sydney flight (it'll make a stopover at Singapore by default), choose February 7 and select time: 1:45pm. But if you feel you can't book yourself then you may wish to use travel agents. But I'm afraid, I can't recommend anyone to you. |

Start on a clean slate. Explain all these things that happened in the past to the VO during the interview. You might be denied but at least you said the truth and it would be on record. One day you might get it. Who knows, you might even get it right away. The fact remains that it's always better to tell the truth. The truth shall always set you free |

Nerobliss: This tread is so long dunno where to start from. Lemme just go straight in case anyone is willing to assist.
My uncle is ready to send me an invite, he is a citizen in the state. I am a Medical doctor currently working for a state specialist hospital for about 6months now. I can easily get a letter to back it.
The agent I contacted requesting for 950k, seems exhobitant. I just stumbled into this forum.
Will someone be to upload the process getting a visa.
Already I have a passport and have bought b1 from gtb.
Thanks Instead of paying your agent N950,000 why don't you take out time and read the beginning of this thread (volumes 1, 2 and 3). You'll get all the processes therein. I got my visit visa without the assistance of any agent. I simply got busy with the numerous posts on these visit visa threads. I saved N950,000 in the process. I recommend you do same. |

Solitin40: Lagos Nigeria to Sydney Australia 6 February 2018 One Way
------------------------------------ Lagos Nigeria to Newcastle Australia 6 February 2018 One way
@LegitBachelor Your best bet is a combination of South African Airline to Johannesburg and then Singapore Airline to Singapore and then to Sydney Australia (2 stops) Total cost is N546,432 and it will take you approximately 34hrs. Turkish Airline also does 2 stops at Istanbul and Bangkok at a slightly higher price of N583,311 and at a much longer time of approximately 47hrs Qatar Airways does a single stop at Doha but the length of trip is 45hrs and cost is N871,495 The fastest is via Emirates with a single stop at Dubai with a trip length of 24hrs and cost of N881,051
To Newcastle, Australia, there are no available flights on that date However there are available flights on the day before and the day after. The average rate on those days are N940,000. Etihad Airways makes two stops at Abu Dhabi and Brisbane. So make your choice. |

I replied No to both.....pls won't these reply affect my chances during the interview? I think it's not an issue. You can clarify this during the interview. Tell the VO you have a relative in the States and provide details on how you are related...Uncle? Aunt? Cousin? Wife? Fiancee? etc. |
