Better still, google that program and school again, you should see the documents required for admission there. Also, I heard sometime ago that to apply to FANSHAWE COLLEGE, you need an agent and the school have Agents they work with in different countries (including Nigeria). I will suggest you send an email to the Admission office of the school for further enquiries. Also, ask on this forum, there should be current or former Fanshawe College students on this forum who might be able to give you some based on experience information. Good luck... |

RubyOgex:See the link below for PG.Cert in Insurance programs and Colleges offering it https://www.nairaland.com/6957495/canadian-student-visa-thread-part/319#111601908 As regards a Post Graduate Diploma in Health Management information, I think you can pursue a postgraduate diploma in health management information, even with a degree in insurance. While there may not be a direct correlation between insurance and health information management, there are some interconnections and transferable skills that can be beneficial in both fields. Insurance involves assessing risks, managing claims, and understanding policies and regulations. Similarly, health information management (HIM) involves assessing risks related to data privacy and security, managing electronic health records, and understanding healthcare regulations and compliance requirements. Some skills that can transfer from insurance to health information management include: 1. Risk management: Insurance professionals are trained to identify and mitigate risks, which is also applicable in HIM where risks related to data breaches and privacy need to be managed. 2. Compliance: Both insurance and HIM require knowledge and understanding of regulations and compliance standards. Insurance professionals are familiar with regulations specific to the insurance industry, and this knowledge can be beneficial in navigating healthcare legislation and policies. 3. Data analysis: Insurance professionals often work with large amounts of data and use analytics to assess risks and make informed decisions. Similarly, HIM professionals analyze healthcare data for operational and strategic purposes. While there are differences between the two fields, the skills and knowledge gained from a degree in insurance can provide a foundation for pursuing a postgraduate diploma in health management information. Additionally, acquiring a background in health information management can expand your career opportunities within the healthcare industry. You will most likely need to attach a Cover letter for your admission application so you can show the admission committee you are a good fit for the Post Graduate Diploma in Health Management information program as an Insurance graduate Await additional Inputs from others most especially those who are in your insurance field Good luck... |
LegitFool:A Post Graduate Certificate (PG.Cert) Program at a College is your best shot Either a Post Graduate Certificate in a Program related to your Academic background (if you don't have an obvious study gap) or your work experience (even if your work experience is not related to what you studied in the University) That being said, What did you study in the University? What year did you graduate from the university ? (for study gap purpose) What's your Job title and your work experience? |

toladayo8630:There is nothing like Masters degree Certificate It's called POST GRADUATE CERTIFICATE, and it's only colleges that offer it. Universities don't offer POST GRADUATE CERTIFICATE PROGRAMS |
toladayo8630:You're welcome. Do you mean Post Graduate Certificate programs related to MASS COMMUNICATION? |
toladayo8630:I doubt if you can do a Masters in I.T related programs or be admitted in such program, cos you don't have the Academic background (Bachelor's degree) or prerequisite as a Mass Communication graduate. Masters in I.T related programs in Canadian Universities requires a Bachelor's degree (2nd class upper or higher) in Computer Science, MATHEMATICS, Computer Engineering, Physics, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Statistics or related field. As a Mass Communication graduate, if you have work experience in an I.T. field, apply for a Post Graduate Certificate Program at a Canadian College in an I.T. related field you have experience or skill sets on ., there are lots of them e.g Data Analytics, Artificial Analytics, Cybersecurity etc. and there are lots of colleges in TORONTO offering these programs but if you don't have a work experience in that field, then a Program related to your Mass Communication academic background is your best shot e.g Post Graduate Certificate in Journalism, Public Relations, Strategic Communication or related programs. |
echobazz:I don't think you need any switch, because there is a strong correlation between your degree in economics and a post-graduate certificate in big data analytics or data analytics. Economics focuses on the study of how individuals, businesses, and governments make decisions regarding resource allocation. This analysis often relies on data, statistics, and quantitative methods. Big data analytics or data analytics involves the collection, processing, and analysis of large and complex datasets to gain insights and make data-driven decisions. These fields heavily rely on statistical analysis, econometrics, and quantitative techniques, which align with the skills acquired during an economics degree. By pursuing a post-graduate certificate in big data analytics or data analytics, you can combine your knowledge of economics with skills in data collection, manipulation, and analysis. This combination makes you well-equipped to work with economic data sets, perform econometric analysis, and gain valuable insights for economic forecasting, market research, policy analysis, and other related areas. Overall, your background in economics provides a solid foundation for transitioning into the field of big data analytics or data analytics and can greatly enhance your career prospects in sectors such as finance, consulting, market research, government, and more. DO JUSTICE ON YOUR COVER LETTER FOR ADMISSION (SUPPORTING DOCUMENT). WITH THAT YOU SHOULD STAND A CHANCE OF GETTING ADMISSION TO BIG DATA ANALYTICS OR DATA ANALYTICS PROGRAMS AT A CANADIAN COLLEGE Data Analytics PG.CERT Programs & Canadian colleges offering it (See the link below) https://www.nairaland.com/6957495/canadian-student-visa-thread-part/624#113559105 More Colleges offering Graduate Programs in Data Analytics related programs Post-graduate Diploma, Information Technology: Data Analytics, New Brunswick Community College (NBCC), New Brunswick Post-graduate Diploma, Information Technology: Business and Advanced Analytics, New Brunswick Community College (NBCC), New Brunswick Post-Graduate Certificate in Data Analytics and Business Intelligence, Fanshawe College, Ontario Postgraduate Certificate, Business Analytics Cambrian College, Sudbury, Ontario Postgraduate Certificate, Business Analytics Conestoga College, Ontario Post-graduate, Business Intelligence Systems Infrastructure (Co-op and Non Co-op Version), Algonquin College, Ottawa, Ontario Post-graduate Analytics for Business Decision Making George Brown College, Toronto, Ontario Post-graduate Diploma, Information Technology: Business Analysis, New Brunswick Community College (NBCC), New Brunswick Post-graduate, Business Insights and Analytics, Humber College, Toronto, Ontario Post-graduate certificate, Business Analytics & Insight Centennial College, Ontario Postgraduate Certificate, Business Analysis Nova Scotia Community College (NSCC), Nova Scotia Explore each schools to know the one that fits your budget as an international student. don10ky:Age has nothing to do with education There are people in their mid 40s , 50s doing Post Graduate Certificate programs at Canadian colleges.
