Beboy23:See the link below for PG. CERT in AGRICULTURAL PROGRAMS at CANADIAN COLLEGES https://www.nairaland.com/6567181/canadian-student-visa-thread-part/652#105068607 Yes you need to renew your International Passport before applying for your Canada study visa |
Ojb555666:You welcome This is quite a tough one since you have gone as far as making a tuiton deposit. There are PG. programs related to Client Service and Sales, Customer Service you can go for. The Program is not the problem, the qualification of the program (UNDERGRADUATE CERTIFICATE) will most likely be an issue to the Visa Officer. I don't know if the reference letter from your work place will fly or not. We have our gurus here on this platform, Frankrobbn1, JustMellow and Makano. Since you have gone this far by paying tuition deposit, reach out to them. The game changer here for you might/would be a good SOP. |
oloyede1:Read everything in the link below so you can be prepared before going to the VFS Office for your biometrics https://www.nairaland.com/6719291/canadian-student-visa-thread-part/11#105208051 |
Ojb555666:Okay. Though this might not be what you want, but to be realistic, based on your 4-years experience as a Barista, and a long Study Gap, a Visa Officer will expect you to go for a Barista related PG Program e.g Hospitality, Culinary, food (for Career Progression). So If your intentions are different from that, i will suggest you reach out to the gurus for their expertise cos Visa officers want strong and cogent reasons for whatsoever Program and Program qualification you wanna go for and how it shows a logical progression with your education or work experience |

Ojb555666:Even though the program is related to your field of work, the Undergraduate Certificate academic qualification is almost the same to a Bachelor's degree due to its admission requirements. The admission requirements for an Undergraduate Certificate is an High School Certificate. That being said a Bachelor's degree holder going for an Undergraduate Certificate program shows a Wrong Academic progression and that will bring about a Wrong Purpose of Visit (refusal) |
Ojb555666:Hi It's rare to see such, more like 1 or 2 person out of 10 or 20 person gets approval with such Study pathway. So in a nutshell, the approval chances of this study pathway (Bsc going for another Bsc) is very slim. A Visa Officers will see a Bachelor's degree holder going for another Bachelor's degree as a WRONG PURPOSE OF VISIT a.d that's a refusal If you have a minimum of 2.1 with no long Study gaps, jejely go for a Masters. But if it's long you left school or you have a 2.2, 3rd Class, go for a Post Graduate Program at a college related to your Work experience to show Career Progression |
Blakmandk:See the format in link below https://www.nairaland.com/6567181/canadian-student-visa-thread-part/370#103737072 Credits: CHIKACIC |

West0099:Ok, based on your age, a Bachelors degree is your best shot Read the posts in the two links below https://www.nairaland.com/6567181/canadian-student-visa-thread-part/426#104000921 https://www.nairaland.com/6321900/canadian-student-visa-thread-part/165#98340118 |
oloyede1:If your application is approved, you'll get an approval letter that says you're allowed to study in Canada. This letter is called Letter of Introduction (LOI) See below an image of an LOI
|
West0099:It depends on your Academic profile and Work Profile Your response to the below questions can determine the Academic program qualification you should go for? What did you study in the University or Polytechnic Do you have a 2.1, 2.2, 3rd Class or Upper, Lower Credit? What year did you graduate ? Do you have a job, if yes what is the name of the job? What are your Job duties? |
RuggedArab:That's why I told you that i don't know if a Master's degree holder can go for a Post baccalaureate diploma program. Await further inputs from the house on that |
RuggedArab:In my own opinion , yes, as far as the PG program is related to your work experience. I only know of a Bachelor's degree holder going for a Post-Baccalaureate Diploma, but I don't know if a Master's degree holder can go for it. Await inputs from the house on that |
RuggedArab:Post baccalaureate dipoma is an Academic Progression for a Bachelor's degree holder You can Google the word Post Baccalaureate for more information |

Tcrown2020:Congratulations !!!! |
phrecy:- What is the person's minimum education, an OND or an SSCE? - How old is that person? |
phrecy:Yes, but it depends on the applicant The chances of study permit approval for a Bachelor's degree holder or an HND holder going for an ordinary Diploma is slim cos it shows no Academic Progression (an ordinary Diploma is lower than a BACHELOR'S DEGREE or an HND) |
Heffalump:Hahahaha, thanks Chief, I used the Search bar up there and type related contents of a question, and Voila , it brings it out (old and recent content) ![]() |
amila20042001:Amen!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
Ableman101:Hi What do you mean by HND 2.1 , do you mean Upper credit for HND? There is an Academic and Career Progression going for a Post Graduate Certificate Program at a College. But you can't go for a Masters with an HND (upper credit or not). About much explanation on this, it depends on the reasons you wanna state on your SOP why you are going for that PG. Cert program. You explanation might be much, it might not be. Everyone with their own respective story. Go through all contents in the links below to know what is expected of you in your SOP https://www.nairaland.com/6321900/canadian-student-visa-thread-part/523#100849022 |
Ableman101:Ok |
