Good Evening NL...

Please for someone with HND in Electrical Engineering, who graduated with an upper credit (3.19 on a scale of 4), did his NYSC at PHED(Nepa) and currently works with them too... Which schools and courses can he go for with relatively low tuition for Pgd? Please your suggestions are needed! Thanks.
Your friend should visit the two links below for lists of
POST GRADUATE CERTIFICATE (PG.CERT) IN ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING, AUTOMATION RELATED programs and the colleges offering it

For low tuition, everyone's definition of low tuition differs, he should do his research on each Program and school, check for the TUITION amount for international students , and go for the one that falls within his budget.

Someone just said Infinix works in his or hers, so I think it depends on province but Samsung and iphone products works perfectly well. I had a tecno but had to buy an iphone here cos their sim didnt work in mine but still use wifi on my tecno though
Some Infinix, Tecno brands that are using 3G , 3.5G network won't work. The likes of 4G, 4G LTE network infinix, Tecno phones has a chance of working, but incase it doesn't work, prepare your mind to get a new phone with 5G Network e.g Samsung, Iphone

Thanks for the info. Is the universal charger really important or it’s just choice. They should have multiple sockets in a room
This is the kind of socket in Canada. So if your Laptop charger, Phone Charger etc. can't fit in to the socket in the image below, get a TRAVEL UNIVERSAL ADAPTOR as shown in the second image below.

If you are based in LAGOS, Check COMPUTER VILLAGE at Ikeja, the price ranges between 2,500 and 4,500

Tomorrow makes my application 2months. So how do I go about requesting the GCMS note sir?
Two months (8 weeks) is still within the normal processing time. If after 12 weeks (as seen in the screenshot below) there is no update from IRCC , make it your duty to send webforms and mails to IRCC offices at least thrice every week.

Also reach out to the Member of Parliament (MP) of the Province or Town your school is located in Canada to use his office to reach out to IRCC on your behalf.

There are mail templates for IRCC and the MP posted on these forum, you can go through it to draft yours based on your situation

Does the work permit that comes with the study visa the same with the co-op for someone that his program has a 4months co-op program. Or you have to apply for the co-op permit separately.
No it is not the same and you are not applying for it separately

The Work Permit (authorization to work) stated on your Study Permit to work as an international student is different from Co-op Work Permit

I need some clarification please. Below is my timeline:

Submitted Application on 5th of April
Biometric on 20th of April. Biometric got updated same day on my account.

I haven’t received any further updates till date. I didn’t do upfront medicals. I’m waiting for the request.

I applied through old portal(Gckey) and processing time is showing 12 weeks on the website. I’m to resume this fall.

Based on my timeline, Do I need to start sending emails now or still wait?

I await your inputs.

Thanks
Since you didn't get a medical request all these while, go and do an UPFRONT MEDICALS Asap so your application can be expedited.

If you send mails to IRCC, you will likely not get a response, cos your application is incomplete (no medicals).

It's when you have done your medicals, and it's updated to PASSED, you can now start sending IRCC webforms and Mails as regards your application.

I haven’t,still waiting for a medical request. My cousin and I did the same thing, same day too but he got a request for medicals and I didn’t.
Note that " no two application is the same". Cos your cousin got medical request doesn't mean you gonna get it or get it at the same time frame , the visa officer handling your cousin's application is different from yours.

Your best move now is to go ahead to do an UPFRONT MEDICALS Asap

Good evening gurus in the house,I need y’all’s advice please.I started this whole study permit thing in 2020,Got my admission to Brandon university in February 2020,and paused everything due to the Covid and when it was a bit eased I started again. In January 2021 I did my biometrics and since then I didn’t get any update or something,In January 2022 I just had to withdraw the application because my admission had expired,I reapplied and got another admission to university of Manitoba and I reapplied for visa again using the new portal in March 2022 updated my biometrics and till now nothing yet, what could be going on guys?NB my cousin and I was in the whole process from 2020 till now doing the same thing we both reapplied in March and 17th of May 2022 he got his request for medicals and he has done that, but I haven’t gotten any response yet, what could be happening please.
Since you didn't get a Medical request, have you done an Upfront Medicals, if yes, has it been updated to PASSED on your profile ?

But you are eligible to apply for PR after 1 year work experience. So it's possible to remain in canada even if it is not a pgwp approved school.
Yes, you are eligible to apply for PR after the 1 year full-time work experience you get from your PGWP in which will make you eligible to apply for the CEC - Canadian Experience Class category of Express Entry. That's why it is advisable to go for a 2 years program or finish one program and go for a second program (which means you need to extend your study permit for the second program) to be eligible for the 2-3 years PGWP.

To your second question, from my finding it's a yes, but that would likely be a Visitor visa which you must apply for, but unfortunately you can't work with a Visitors visa.

In the best interest of an international student, he/she should go for a Program in a school that is a DLI (Designated Learning Institute) and offers PGWP (POST GRADUATE WORK PERMIT) Very Important

Thank you @Lekiboboe. Please, how do i know if the program and school i'll be going to offers PGWP. Are there sites to check this.
You are welcome

How to Check if a School is a DLI (Designated Learning Institute) & Offers PGWP (Post Graduate Work Permit)

Visit the Link below

https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/study-canada/study-permit/prepare/designated-learning-institutions-list.html

Step 1: Choose the province or territory your school is in.

Step 2: Type in keywords the name of the school

As you can see in the image below, I selected ONTARIO as a province, and I typed Seneca, it showed me the details of the school i.e the DLI number and also showed me that the school offers PGWP Eligible programs. It's a must for an international student to apply to schools in Canada that offers PGWP eligible programs.

As you can also see in the image below, I selected ONTARIO as a province, and i typed Canadian Career Education College, it showed me the details of the school i.e the DLI number and also showed me that the school don't offer PGWP Eligible programs. An international student should run away from any Canadian school that doesn't offer PGWP eligible programs if he/she want to be eligible to stay in Canada after his/her studies.

Do you still have to send the webform with the E-medicals sheet even the medicals was requested by the ircc
From what i heard on this platform, If your medicals were done via Medical request , the clinic won't give you any document to upload

No sir. I only booked an appointment sir.
Ok

You do not need a medical exam. We will send you a message if this changes.” means if they review your study visa application and see all is in order, they will send you a medical request, so, you booking an appointment means you wanna do an UPFRONT MEDICALS to expedite your application

Its until you do your medicals and the clinic you did the medicals (either through IOM or QLife) send it to IRCC and you yourself send your E-medical sheet Via webform and mails to IRCC that's when that message of "you did not need a medical exam" will change to MEDICALS UPDATED to PASS if you pass the MEDICALS

Of course, IOM will send it to IRCC. You will get a text from IOM saying that your health case has been submitted to the embassy

Just make sure you that after your upfront medicals, the E-medical sheet given to you, you send it via webform and mails to IRCC offices (VERY IMPORTANT)

Although she has her BSc now.
She want to do another BSc in Canada.
This is her result
Maths c6
English c5
Economics c6
Geography c4
Agric c4
Biology D7
Chemistry E8
PhysicsE8
Hausa language c4

Pls, what course can she apply for
Note: she is 37 years
Thank you for your response.
HI

A BSC holder going for another BSC is not advisable. Approval chances is low with such move.

These are the red flags a Visa Officer will possibly spot
- 15 years is a very long Study gap
- No Academic Progression (going for another BSC) which will be termed as WRONG PURPOSE OF VISIT
- Her Age

Your friend should jejely go for a PG. Cert or Post-Baccalaureate or Post Diploma program in a Business field for CAREER PROGRESSION (as related to her work experience)

I will assume your work experience as a STOCK ACCOUNTANT has a connection with SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT, which means you are pursuing Career Progression. If that's the case, you are good to go even though you have a masters.
