ide2012: Are there any disadvantages of applying to a 1 year Post Graduate certificate program. I see you specified in your comment ? The only disadvantage of 1 year program I know is that it will only give you 1 year Post Graduate Work Permit (PGWP) which won't allow a graduate to have more time to prepare and apply for PR, cos to qualify for Canadian Experience Class (CEC) category of express entry (for international students who studied in Canada), you need to work full time for 1-year. I heard some people do one year program in schools located in some Canadian province and are able to apply for PR there e.g Provincial Nominee Programs (PNP) such as SINP (Saskatchewan Immigration Nominee Program), RNIP etc.. You might want to do some research on that. Two years program is preferable or you finish 1 program and start another (1+1) cos with the completion of a 2 years program and you apply for PGWP you would get 2-3 years PGWP which allow you to have more time to prepare for PR Via CEC (1 year working full time , time to process and get your WES transcript evaluation from your school in Naija, Police Clearance Certificate from Naija etc.) AWAIT ADDITIONAL INPUTS FROM OTHERS |

Adenikemonie: Please house, which college can I apply that doesn’t require English test Most Canadian Colleges don't ask for English language proficiency cos they recognize Nigeria as an English speaking country. If a college insist on you showing an Evidence of English language proficiency, try to get a LETTER OF ENGLISH LANGUAGE CONFIRMATION LETTER FROM THE UNIVERSITY/POLYTECHNIC (TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN) you graduated from in Nigeria (from the registrar of your school, I also heard the HOD of your department can also issue such Letter, Make enquiries on that). |

makano: Hello Helper
Please note that Qlife or IOM do not send results to applicants, they send your full results straight to IRCC..
What they only give applicants is the E-medical sheet which contains like a summary of your results.. So do not wait for a feedback of your test results, what you should be waiting for is an update of your Medicals on your IRCC portal and most importantly, your final Decision..
It shall end in praise..
Peace Hi Honorable Makano I don't know about QLIFE but IOM do send medical laboratory test results if requestedCheck out this IOM , Lagos process of getting medical laboratory test https://www.nairaland.com/6957495/canadian-student-visa-thread-part/291#111450552 |

GOD Almighty showed me mercy,he alone deserves all the Glory..
Got admission In Feb 2021..I deferred for personal and General reasons..
Knowing my profile..i knew I needed a magic touch..been reading the thread for years until I decided to kick-start this journey..
I am full time home maker, never worked and I have a long study gap, I knew I had work to do.. The reason some agents I met said it wasn't possible..
I was gonna opt for Journalism cos I majored in Arts/Humanities With the advice of Justmellow and Frank I settled for a business program since we had documents to prove that...
I made my secret findings about Frank ,everyone poured accolades and talked about his expertise..
I concluded I was gonna use him..
He did magic to my application.. he told me I had nothing to worry about..my husbands profile is more than enough to get me Visa..
I didn't even submit my personal statement of account..what the VO will see is just husband ,dad and siblings sending me money..last born palaver lol...
APPLICANT'S DOCUMENTS All Cic documents SOP(written by Frank,I proofread to my satisfaction) Unofficial Uni transcript Statement of result Business invoice Business ID Card Notarized Affidavit of sponsorship(written by Frank) Marriage certificate Change of name (newspaper pub) Family pictures(wedding pictures, party pictures, home pictures, pictures, pictures pictures..) NIN Lassra Admission letter Tuition deposit receipt Certificate of origin Online business course( certificate) Birth cert Certificate of origin Letter from my village King(serves as volunteer letter) Letter headed company letter stating my hubby will be in charge of the business
I requested for Gcms and saw the VO wrote (no savings,no income)tho it was "recommended passed"(I didn't like the word recommended, I wanted it to be "passed"and VO had positive things to say about sponsor..like I said I didn't submit my Statement of acct..
Even though Frank said it was nothing to worry about ,I was worried and he had no choice than to tell me to quickly submit a fixed deposit..
I submitted a fixed deposit cert via webform..medical request dropped 30 minutes after I had submitted the fixed certificate...I have no idea if it influenced it or not..Frank said it did not..I was gonna get medical request regardless...
SPONSORS DOCUMENTS(SPOUSE)
Letter of employment Letter of resignation from former workplace. Treasury bills, fixed deposits. Landed properties Building properties Statement of account with active inflow and outflow and solid balance. Dollar Statement of account with solid balance. Work ID Card Intl passport data page Pictures of us and the kids Old pictures of us(young lovers..lol) NIN Lassra

God brought Frank my way,if you are in doubt use his expertise..no regrets...but you have to be patient cos clients too yapa..lol
I appreciate all Nairlanders My friends turned sister whom I met on this group 7COLOURS...one would think we have known each other for long...
Lekiboboe and Justmellow..big ups to you, they created a smooth path for me by answering all my numerous questions in 2020 by email...they may not remember but I worry them.. Finally, Big Congratulations to you. To God be all the glory Shine on!!!! |

Akintosban: Hello everyone i was directed here by a friend so every input would be very much appreciated… I submitted my application last year august 2021 and didn’t hear from IRCC till July but it was a PFL…
And No the statement of account wasn’t fraudulent because I know that’s where everyone on here would raise eyebrows too..
Rather I did everything I saw and the site and knew I was meant to do.. But what is surprising is I don’t know where exactly the concern of the VO is because my PFL doesn’t specifically say it’s the statement of account or its this or that, but rather generalized as “proof of funds”….
So please everyone I would like your input on this issue..
Below are the documents I submitted and attached is a screenshot of the PFL

Predator188: I don't think the above is correct..about HND VS Advanced diploma
Note that HND Is equivalent to level 5 qualification or a equivalent to a second/2nd yeae of a bachelors degree program..below degree level...
While advanced diploma is equivalent to final year of a bachelors degree program at level 6 qualification
Conclusion HND level 5 is lesser than advanced diploma level 6 qualification Alright |

matthew080: Hello fam I have HND in building technology and I got admission for advance diploma in administrative business management. I am applying already. Isn't this a red flag Yes a potential red flag, . This could he up for scrutiny by a Visa Officer due to the WRONG ACADEMIC PROGRESSION (Program not aligning with your Academic background as a Builder, also the Advanced diploma qualification is quite lesser to your acquired HND Academic Qualification) As an HND holder, if it's not too long (no study gaps) that you graduated, go for a PG. Cert in Building/Construction Management program at a college. If your work experience is business related, go for a PG. CERT in Business Management program at a college |

Phillz83: Good morning I’m in need of your advice and way forward . Preparing to go Canada through study route with my family ... I’m 39yrs. old ,married with 2 kids graduated in year 2014 with 3rd class in Geology but ever since then being working as a freelance in building and construction till date and wife works with research institute. I love tech so much and believe is the future so I decided to study Big Data Analytics /Data Analytics or Business Analytics which I’m able get some colleges in Ontario that offers 1 or 2 years post graduate diploma with designated learning institute (post graduate work permit eligible ).I will be self sponsored ...I don’t know what to do or tackle the study gap and also career progression issue with the visa application /officer. Your advice and tutor is really appreciated and welcome. I have so much in my head that I can’t even write ielts........I need to do this to move for my wife and kids to where they will have a better future. God bless you all.

bright85: Good morning guys,
I have HND in electrical engineering, and I intend to do diploma in a good school in Canada, can anyone recommend a school for me. Also I don have any idea how to go about it, I want someone who has knowledge on this to guide me with information that will be useful to me even as I keep searching online. Also I am married, can I be able to travel with my family or just me.
Thank you - A diploma is lesser than your already acquired Academic qualification (HND) and that can be a red flag to your study visa application (NO ACADEMIC PROGRESSION). To show Academic progression, go for something higher. That being said, a POST GRADUATE CERTIFICATE Program in an Electrical Engineering related program at a college is your best shot. See the link below for that https://www.nairaland.com/6957495/canadian-student-visa-thread-part/724#114127867- Await a response to your other question |

Mkaye: Good evening everyone on this platform. I'm new on this platform and I'm happy to be among you guys.
Pls I'm applying for Canada visa and I kindly ask for guide for beginners.
I've gone through all the posts here and the more I read through the more confused I get and more questions spring up
1)I really want to know which school to apply for that gives scholarship and one that I won't have to pay school fees from Nigeria
2)I really want to know the visa application process, documents needed, can my uncle be my sponsor(if yes, do I need to upload any proof showing that he's my uncle)
3) After my masters program do I stand a chance of getting PR or is it only for undergraduates
Thanks in anticipation of your kind replies Hi 1)If you are a Bachelor's degree holder, you have a minimum of 2.1 and you looking for a Masters Graduate scholarship in research areas in your field of discipline, read everything in the link below https://www.nairaland.com/6957495/canadian-student-visa-thread-part/648#113697664If you have 2.2, 3rd Class it's either you apply for a Post Graduate Certificate (PG.Cert) at a Canadian College in a Program related to your Academic background (if you don't have study gaps ,i.e if it's not too long you graduated from the University ) or you apply to a Program related to your work experience e.g You can be a Microbiology graduate but with 5 years work experience as a Human Resource manager (HRM) that being said, you can go for a PG. Cert in HRM program even though you don't have an Academic background in it. Unfortunately, there are no scholarships for PG.CERT Programs in Canadian Colleges, you gotta pay the tuition. 2) Await the response of the gurus to your no. 2 question 3) After the completion of your 2-years Masters and at least 1-year full-time work experience in Canada out of your 2-3 years PGWP (Post Graduate Work Permit) that you are gonna be given, you will be eligible to apply for the CEC (Canadian Experience Class) category of express entry for PR, there are also other PR pathways e.g PNP (Provincial Nominee Program) etc. Await additional Inputs from others Good luck |
