cashful:sure, i read the article. it was a grand style design that requires a plus. somebody of his caliber have added to the knowledge of man. he went through a lot of pains cause by the Nigerian factors such as lack of constant electricity and laboratory equipments. but his personal will saw him through. |
madprof:sure, you don't even need a computer to be an engineer. engineering was and had been before the computer or the calculator was invented. but in this present world, the knowledge of engineering has grown very vast that ordinary human brain cannot comprehend everything together. this is where the computer and software comes in. due to the advantage of the storage system and the calculator(programming), the computer has simplify the jobs of the engineers. think of those days of steel rules, you can ask the older generations what they go through to find say log 2 or sin 30. even many of us still used the four figure table for calculations. but now a days, calculator can gives you such answers in less than a second. snthesis:technical drawing has not extincted. rather they form the core knowledge of the profession.autocad or other cad software are just computer aids to drawing. you can not even use them if you do not understand the fundamental concept of technical drawing. examination bodies and many job interviews still test candidates on the drawing boards. |
information and trainning information is the key. that's is why you go to school to be informed by the lecturals. thats why you have to buy books to upload the contents into your brain. thats why you google key words and browse through books in the library to increase your knowledge of the subject matter or your discipline. training is guidance by a professional on the practical aspect of the subject. they teach you how to handle the tools and equipments. the norms and don't"s of the profession. that's why we have laboratories and workshops in schools. that's why it are been designed for students. |
this is nigeria where anything goes and nobody gets fired for wrong doing. what is the head of sss chief still doing there after the abuja bomb blasted even next to eagle square? |
oyb:sure, this is even more prominent with the police. they take policies which only favours the government of the day. permits are given to political rallies favoring the government while the political rallies of opposition parties are either not permitted or are disturb ted. |
AjanleKoko:this is an understatement. if other are, brother pls count me out. AjanleKoko:i dont agree sir. without the necessary colonizations, i would never have heard of newton talkless of learning the equations. the main problem with nigerians is we refuse to act and take everything for granted. our enviroment is not encouraging enough, and the rate of activities is slow among scholars who are meant to be pushing further.every body is after his own pocket and stomach. |
bidemi12:sure, yhis is the type of question that should be asked in the first case. many organisation try to save cost and there is a cclear policy on bills they pay on health issues. if the cause of health problem does not result from their own job hazard, bro you are on your own, expect from minor cases like malaria, typhoid,, |

The End is Nigh! RELATED TOPICS * Big Bang * Doomsday * Earth A new study suggests the universe and everything in it could end within the Earth's lifespan -- less than 3.7 billion years from now -- and we won't know it when it happens. But one expert says the result isn't valid because the researchers chose an arbitrary end point. The universe began in a Big Bang about 13.7 billion years ago and has been expanding at an ever accelerating rate ever since. According to standard cosmology models the most likely outcome for the universe is that it will expand forever. But a team of physicists led by Raphael Bousso from the University of California, Berkeley, claim their calculations show the universe will end. Writing in the prepublication blog arXiv.org Bousso and colleagues say there's a "measure problem" in the cosmological theory of eternal inflation. Eternal inflation is a quantum cosmological model where inflationary bubbles can appear out of nothing. Some expand and go on forever, others collapse and disappear again. These bubbles, each being a universe, pop in and out of existence like bubbles in boiling water. They argue, in an eternally inflating universe, every event that is possible will eventually occur -- not just once, but an infinite number of times. This makes predicting when each event will occur impossible, such as the probability that a universe like ours exists. "If infinitely many observers throughout the universe win the lottery, on what grounds can one still claim that winning the lottery is unlikely?" they write. Bousso's team have being trying to determine the number of bubbles that exist at any given time and the number of 'observers' in each bubble to come up with the relative frequency of observers that can live in one universe compared to the relative frequency of observers who can live in another universe. But the "measure problem" makes calculating this value impossible. According to Bousso and colleagues, the only way to avoid this conundrum is to introduce a cut-off point, which then helps make sense again. By introducing this cut-off, they say there is "a 50-50 chance of the universe ending in the next 3.7 billion years." Charles Lineweaver from the Australian National University's Mount Stromlo Observatory says Bousso's team are simply imposing a catastrophe for statistical reasons. He says the need for a better statistical solution has led the researchers to a false conclusion about the end of the universe. "Because the problem won't go away in their calculations, they conclude the universe must really end," says Lineweaver. "Bousso's average life of a universe is a set time, only because that's what happens when you introduce a cut off point to get a reasonable probability." "It's a statistical technique being taken probably too seriously," he added. |

AjanleKoko:well, as with coca cola plants, what they have is not really automation pacey. i am very familiar with the plant layout. what they use is the same thing we use at nestle foods. they only have sensors which gives feedback to motors which drives the cams and rollers of the plants. a fully control system will have a microprocessor/micro-controllers which are programmable and takes decisions in what could be termed an AI. a true robots rather than a mechanical system with a feedback system |
Nigeria will play Guinea this weekend after Fifa 'provisionally lifted' its suspension of the Nigerians. The Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) was banned on Monday for various reasons, including political interference. This had thrown Sunday's Nations Cup qualifier in Conakry into doubt. "The game will go ahead because the suspension on Nigeria has been provisionally lifted," Caf Media Director Suleiman Habuba told the BBC. Fifa said it lifted the suspension until 26 October - the day after a court hearing where the players' organization is expected to fulfil a promise to drop a lawsuit which sought to annul recent federation elections. "The decision was taken after observing that the situation had taken a positive turn in recent days," Fifa said in a statement. "However, should the NFF still be embroiled in court actions or any other issue preventing it from working freely on that date, the suspension will be automatically confirmed until all problems have been definitely solved." NFF secretary general Musa Amadu confirmed that the Super Eagles will travel to Guinea for the scheduled match in Conakry in Sunday following Fifa's 'magnanimous' decision. "We are happy that the ban has been lifted even if it is temporary," Amadu said. "It will allow us to continue with our programs unhindered." The qualifying match was hanging in the balance after Fifa imposed the suspension on Monday, preventing Nigerian teams and officials from taking part in international matches and meetings. Fifa rules protect its members' independence, and it said Nigerian officials had been compromised by government interference and legal action brought by the National Association of Nigerian Footballers. Fifa eased its stance after Amadu was reinstated on Tuesday as the federation's acting general secretary. He previously had been forced to step down on the instructions of the government-run National Sports Commission. Fifa also objected to the Nigerian sports minister starting the domestic league program without relegation from the previous season. |

well, nigerian people are very industrious and intelligent. i had spent many years of my life in the industry and knows what is going on. one major problem with nigeria is that there is a broken link between the industry and the academic world. in nigeria, they are 2 parallel lines which never meet. that is the reason why we do not develop and jobs are not created. i as i said in other threads, many people are going to say a university without knowing their real purpose of doing so. the certificate is all they care about and not the intellectuality. |

yes, on that faithful Sunday in 2006, the jeep of Danny Wilson which she was drunk driving left her lane to the adjacent lane to climb Dr giwas car which was held up in traffic. ever since then, she has been in a sober mood. she had been to the mother of Dr giwa to apologize personally to her. though the mother had forgiving her, it is the drs sister and wife that are still waging the the battle. Dr giwa was my neighbor. a perfect gentleman who is willing to help. |
