Jobs/Vacancies / Re: I Want To Join The Army..but I Have Some Questions by Leogreat5: 10:48pm On Sep 29, 2021
I had a different age declaration from what I used on my BVN( Year of birth) . They insisted that the one on the BVN is d right one. After much deliberation ,I was asked to go and rectify it from my bank . I wish I knew they are using our BNV print out ,I would I have done that?? Funny enough ,all my documents bears the year on the age declaration

why didn't you get in? After the interview?
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: I Want To Join The Army..but I Have Some Questions by Leogreat5: 9:07pm On Sep 25, 2021
Joining the military via short service combatant , you must be a graduate , within 27yrs of age and above 27yrs if you studied professional courses like medicine n co. I guess you can't pass the rank of a major before you retire. I have attended the interview .

Nairaland / General / Re: Life Is Really Frustrating Me. I Need Help. by Leogreat5: 8:48am On Sep 22, 2021
Yeah,I understand you better .My prediction of the climate failed me.

One thing people dont understand is that "business is a risk" and agriculture is not excluded.

I rear turkeys in my spare time and the first time I ventured into it 90 % survived but the second time 60% survived.

My point is getting a loan for something as risky as agriculture is not a good idea.
Nairaland / General / Life Is Really Frustrating Me. I Need Help. by Leogreat5: 6:13am On Sep 22, 2021
Good day NL
Nairaland has been a very good source of Information, learning , education , news, help in certain situations and advice to people since I joined / know about NL in 2017. I give credits to all members of this group and visitors of NL.
I will try and make this story brief. Am a graduate of Agriculture since 2015 yet no job. I have applied for jobs severally in my state and some federal jobs( police, army, frsc, custom , Dss , teaching e.tc) but I had no connection. I do some menial jobs at least to meet up with my little needs because I understand the situation am therein. Here is the biggest mistake I made since I was born,. .Early this year I had a thought of going to farming since it's my field and had the experience of farming , I took a loan of 80k from this thrift cooperative in my locality in February with the help a woman close to me. The terms and condition was I will pay up my loan before 30th Sept with an interest of 25k, because of the situation I was and desperation to take a bold step out of comfort zone of waiting for job , I agreed and took the loan .
I called labourers , I had my lease land cleared , I bought my seedlings, herbicides, sprayer, fertilizer, and other things. I cleared about 5acres .my plan was to cultivate early maize, cucumber and garden eggs( all hybird ) . I got the required skills and experience for these crops .
Here is where my problem started, my land preparation and other we're ready before ending of April but no rain to plant. ( Rain fed agriculture failed me) .so I waited till May before my region had first rain( Delta State , Ubulu-uku). So, I plant my maize and cucumber hoping the rain has come to stay. For good 2/3week ,my region had no single drop of rainfall , my cucumber and gadern egg farm was wiped out because I wouldn't irrigate and few maize survived, I couldn't make my proposed sale on these crop as earlier planned on my proposal. So I cleared everything and plant my cassava .
The cassava is yet to mature and my loan repayment is steering at me, I failed woefully and I regret the day I made a decision of taken loan to start a farm. I don't sleep, always filled with tears and I have no helper.
The only option ringing within is just to take my life and end it all because I can't face the thrift cooperation and be saying all these to them.
Am depressed . A life of no income or helper is death..... Am dieing in silence .

Monitor your period/ ovulation ( You and Hubby) ,Make sure copulation happens within 2days of ovulation, the chance of a male child is high. Y chromosomes easily dies off and not too active compare to X chromosome .

Career / Re: Should I Go Back Home Or Travel North For Job? by Leogreat5: 10:13pm On Jun 10, 2021
Am really searching for job...please can you connect me with one in Jos.

OP,
If you like Taraba state, the people and their culture, and you're sure of getting job in the state, I think you should consider going there.

One thing people don't know is that, getting a nice job in the Northern part of the country is much more easier than any part of the country.

Of a truth, the place of insecurity can not be overemphasized, but then I don't think safety is guaranteed (to a very large extent) in any part of the country presently.

I had my NYSC on the Plateau, Jos precisely. I was advised to stay back by my employer, I was able to convince my parents and they agreed. And I can say that decision is one of the best I've made in the last decade.

I will just advise you @OP, to channel your job search to the state capital, the state capitals in the North are always safe, at least to some extent.

Another thing is, they don't employ you based on the class you graduated with, it's none of their business, since you're good at what you do and you can deliver, you're good to go.

Most importantly, pray about it, let God direct and order your steps. You're more safer than save.

Now I offer my digital skills on fiverr and upwork including sourcing for clients on Facebook. I make at least 30k per month.

You see that animation you wanted to learn. It is a gold mine for advert company. 2d or 3d animations, just find some one to teach you. It won't take you 3 weeks
I tap from your Grace brother

Mine is just God all the way. 2013 after school the stress, pain and suffering was just unbearable. I got a teaching job of 10k a month back then but because of the low motivational pay, I decided to Quit.
In 2015 I was in Lagos briefly to look for work, stayed with my cousin living around volks, omo, mosquito show me pepper. Within two weeks of just staying in Lagos , the malaria in my system was already reading ++++, it is better to die at home rather than dying in a strange land. That's how I carried myself jejely back to Benin, rea arranged myself to Port Harcourt, Within one year of staying in Portharcourt, I got a job of 35k a month to run a restaurant. Left the place in 2017 got a job of 100k in 2019, left the place again to another place were the benefit is quite OK for me.
Today I have a car and house of my own. my pay has made me forget about my previous stress. Never always give up, always think about the bright side of life.
