Do you realize that whenever you learn something new, it is always overwhelming at first? There is a scientific explanation for this. Once you understand it, you will have a different perspective on learning new things. Imagine our brain has many different rooms. When you learn a new topic, you are simply putting boxes and boxes of information into one room. The end result is the room is stacked with many boxes and very disorganized. That's when and why we feel overwhelming. But when we sleep, our brain will automatically reorganize the information and sort them accordingly. That's when we feel that everything starts to make sense and we start to have a mental image of how things can be done. That's how our brain works. If you are new to internet marketing and you feel overwhelmed, now you know, that's normal. Understanding how our brain works is useful in our daily life. For example, being a father of three, I always make sure that my kids do not do last minute revision. Even for simple spelling test, I'll make sure that they learn it at least 2 nights before, so that the brain has at least 2 nights to reorganize. So the next time you feel overwhelmed, don't fret and don't give up. After a few slumbers, things will start making sense. You will start to form a mental image of how things can be done. It's just how the brain works. |
Not all business are equal. Some businesses are better than others. What I mean by better is that it will be easier and easier to run the business as the business grows. 'Better' businesses have one thing in common - they are in the business of building 'Assets'. A good example is McDonalds. I think it was in Robert Kiyosaki's Cashflow Quadrant where I read that McDonalds is not in the business of selling burgers. It is in property business. Selling burgers is just a way for it to fund its property acquisition. For McDonalds, the asset that it is building is properties. You may ask, "What kinds of business are not building an asset?" Too many. (See my sig na ture) One example is a kiosk in a shopping mall selling tidbits and cookies. Yes, the owner may make money, but he needs to rely on the mall traffic to make money. If the mall increases the rental, his bottomline will suffer. If traffic in the mall shrinks, his business will also be affected. He doesn't really own anything at the end of the day. What he could have done is to take down the contacts of the customers and prospects who visit his kiosk and create an online ecommerce site, so that he can directly reach out to them and introduce new products to them. Who knows, his online sales may eventually be more than his offline sales, and he no longer has to depend on the mall for sales. The same idea applies to online marketing. Many affiliate marketers are simply promoting their affiliated links. They are like the kiosk owner in the example above. They don't really own anything other than making some money. Smarter affiliate marketers will build a list first, before promoting affiliated products. Look around you and see which business is building an asset and which is not. This will improve your business acumen. More importantly, if you are in online marketing, ask yourself, are you building an asset in your business? If you are not, you should start thinking how to restructure your business to do so. |

Everyone has experienced anger, sadness, disappointment and frustration. If improperly managed, these negative emotions can break a relationship, ruin a project and even take a person's life. I've learnt an emotion management skill that I find very effective. I'll share with you today. Imagine you can separate your feelings into different rooms. The skill is to simply keep different emotion in different room and never mix different emotions in one room. For example, I may be very frustrated with work, but once I am not on the issue, that room is closed. When I work on other project or talk to other people, my emotion will be neutral. I have 3 kids. When one kid made me angry, I will not bring my anger to the other kids. Every room starts with a neutral emotion. I'm not saying you should suppress your emotion. In fact, it's bad to suppress your emotion. Don't suppress. Let it out, but let it out fast. I practice the 5 minute rule. That means I will not hold on to a negative emotion for more than 5 minute. Well, I didn't really time it, but once I have let out my emotion, I'm done. I'll simply keep it in the room and close it. Just remember, your emotion ends with the event. Over the years, I've learnt to switch my emotion real fast. Most important of all, I've learnt not to bring the emotion from one room to another room. This skill has helped me to overcome my business and investment failure. It has been instrumental in keeping my mindset positive. If you have a spouse, let your spouse know about this skill. My wife practices the same skill and it has worked very well for us. We may have an argument over certain things but our emotions end with that argument. Next moment, we can happily discuss where to have dinner or have fun with our kids.

Remind me daily of these sacred promises We all need encouragement--particularly in a culture that bombards women with pressures to be perfect, thin, poised, super-mom, and super-wife. These 10 Bible verses about women from Marisa Donnelly may be just what you need today! I know I sure did. 10 Bible Verses about Women “God is within her, she will not fall.” — Psalm 46:5 “She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future.” — Proverbs 31:25 “The Lord is my strength and my shield.” — Psalm 28:7 “I loved you at your darkest.” — Romans 5:8 “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” — Joshua 1:9 “She opens her mouth with wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue.” — Proverbs 31:26 “Under His wings you will find refuge.” — Psalm 9:1 “Don’t worry about anything, instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank Him for all He has done.” — Philippians 4:6-8 “By the grace of God, I am what I am.” — 1 Corinthians 15:10 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not unto your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct your path.” — Proverbs 3:5-6 ______________________ Dear God, thank you for assuring me that I am beautiful in your eyes and “more than enough” through the dwelling of Christ in me. Remind me daily of these sacred promises. In Jesus’ name, amen

Confidence alone isn’t enough. In dating, you need to set boundaries. If a relationship isn’t a win-win for both people, it’s never worth pursuing. The first rule is to never sell yourself short. Giving up things that are important to you—the things that make you who you are—just looks unattractive and undignified. So don’t do it. Another rule of thumb is to never let negative experiences from the past affect your attitude towards dating. The past is behind you. New relationships require a new attitude. If you believe that you should be shown unconditional love, it will eventually become true.

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) says the issuance of the National Identification Number (NIN) is compulsory for all categories of vehicle registration. In a statement issued on Saturday, the Corps Public Education Officer, Bisi Kazeem, said the move, which is in total compliance with the presidential directives, would commence from the second quarter of the year. “Beginning from the second quarter of this year (2021), if you want to register your vehicle, it is going to be compulsory for you to provide your NIN. This is part of the security checks,” FRSC Corps Marshal, Dr Boboye Oyeyemi, was quoted as saying. “So once you provide your NIN, it makes the matter easier and helps the government in national planning, critical decision making and also enhance adequate Intelligence gathering for the security of lives and properties.” The FRSC had mandated all applicants of the National Driver’s Licence in the country to present their National Identification Number before they could be captured for any class of the licences produced by the FRSC. Earlier, the Nigerian Communication Commission ordered telecommunications companies to deactivate telephone lines of subscribers who failed to link their phones to their National Identity Number.
