Please what does “palliative work” mean? After shutting the bridge for months for “palliative work “ the other time, we were practically using torchlight for search for the work done.
Getting this loan is like getting an elephant to pass through the eyes of a needle. After years of contributions you’ll be begging for your money which you’re still going to pay back with interest.
That’s why I so gladly exited the scheme when the option came up recently. Now let us have our contributions back and am fine.
Olukat: Why sound this warning now, isn't it too late? During Gen. Buhari regime all manners of statistics were released pointing to the fact that our GDP supports the massive borrowing What has changed in 3 weeks?
Exactly. Eye service agencies that just want to be in the good books of the govt of the day!
In fact, it should be reversed on May 29th. I have never seen any policy as dumb and badly timed like that. Closest competition for dumbest policies is the new Naira policy.
With the massive gap in domestic food supply, heightened by unprecedented level of insecurity and inflation, you shut the borders. Staple foods are no longer staple. Encouraging massive corruption and smuggling by customs officers and their cronies. If you ask about agricultural policies to improve domestic production, you start hearing: “pharmer money, trader money, …”. Oga come and be going already.
Exactly! I was wishing that the US govt not only ban such persons but also make them known to the public and be shamed. I guess the persons will reveal themselves eventually. Lolll
Dialpad: RIP........ unbelievable, Murphy was a talented actor.
The cause of death is scary.
He must have slipped and hit his head hard on the floor.
Builders in the house, how can we have safer bathrooms to avoid occurrences like this.
We can all try get this bathroom mat
Honestly, bathroom safety is becoming a serious concern. I have heard other scary stories of bathroom accidents. One wonders why we have slippery tiles in the bathroom. The mat you showed can easily get wet and difficult to maintain, but I want to believe safer fittings can be used. It’s well o
Nigerian superstar Burna Boy made it to the frontlines of blogs again over his Met Gala experience.
A video captured the moment when an Arise TV reporter tried to interview him on the red carpet, but his attention was called from inside, and he could not spare a second for them
In the clip that has gone viral, Burna was seen with the British-Nigerian rapper Skepta as they both walked up the Met Gala red carpet and granted a couple of interviews until, when it got to the turn of the Arise TV crew, a white man and a lady walked up to them to request his attention inside.
However, the Arise TV reporter persisted by calling for his attention; Burna Boy replied and pleaded that he needed to go inside at that instant
I don’t understand the snub here when he explained why he couldn’t take the interview at the time.
nkemjacob2: This unemployment issues is getting to its peak if not look after
India, the world’s most populous country has this low unemployment rate, but Nigeria with less than 20% of that population tops the list at over 33% unemployment rate. Smh!
Creamypie: Don't carry any load or item for anybody.if at all, present it first and tell the authorities b4 presenting them and they must be the first to be screened. People too bad
Can pls explain the part on presenting first to authorities further?
Penguin2: Now, it has been proven before Nigerians (not like we didn’t know) that Peter Obi won in Rivers. If it can also be proven in the court, do you know what that means?
It means that if INEC could do that in Rivers, then there’s every likelihood they also did it in many other states. It is enough ground to cancel the entire election and not about deducting votes and giving to another person.
Tinubu shouldn’t have had a deal with Wike. Wike ended up being his and APC’s undertaker.
These guys are simply shameless. You want to now gag the press in a bid to bury your broad day robbery.
INEC could halt Adamawa election collation to fix an abnormality, but couldn’t do same in the presidential election results collation. Simply hypothetical and shameful!
It’s the way they consider Nigerians fools that really piss me off. Till today, I still have the video recording of counting in my PU and other PU around me in Lagos, with LP recording landslide victories in all but one PU where LP won APC by only 5 votes. Only to see INEC’s manufactured and shabbily doctored results (cancellations and alterations everywhere). I just gave up!
muhammaduyusufu: Ever heard of force majeur? Why didn't you read the account of why INEC jettisoned the initial plan of real-time transmission of the results?
Meanwhile, am I missing something? Did INEC, ever as much as explain the reason for the so-called glitch talk more of declaring a force majeur? Is there any provision for a force majeur in the Act?
Well, they should start by recommending themselves for prosecution. What has happened to the INEC officers and the collaborators who were going to subvert the will of the people in Abia state if not for the outcry and doggedness of the state REC? Is that also a “go to court “ case?
Ckonnet: You never see anything oga, there will be no peace for anyone that took part in this madness. We go dox una tire, it's no longer a case of declaring rubbish and proceed to your house with pocket full of dollars. Please anyone with information of these idiots should spread even their kids abroad should reap what their parents are sowing.let us fight these idiots from all angle. This madness should not go own.
Everyone feels insulted at the daylight robbery. But please let’s calm down. Elections not worth the life of anyone or their families.
these guys be lying small small na! So was the IU results with very jubilant youths fake? If that’s correct, are we saying all the other PU, wards and LGA garnered less than 2k for LP. It cannot be well with anyone bent on destroying this nation this way!
Is this vote buying or the simply fraudsters trying to take advantage of the situation to defraud people? I honestly believe it’s the latter - fraudsters. I just got this WhatsApp message to claim a N10k. I didn’t click on the link and I strongly advise everyone to avoid the temptation of clicking on the link. The message sent by one Hopeful 3310, with phone number 08063471465 reads:
“Are you voting Claim your 10,000 Naira Bola Ahmed Tinubu Presidential Campaign Funds
And whoever feels he is bold and strong enough should default orders and feel full wrath of Biafrans
For the first time ever, I must: Mumu!!!!!! Cutting off your nose to spite the face!!! You’ll eventually get some brain when you one day wake up to no place called home.
ejifranks: Wow!!!! so this guy is a Finnish citizen yet causes trouble for us here in the name of IPOB, which he is even not a recognized member. Meanwhile he and his family enjoys life in Finland. Wow wow!!! My south east brothers must wake up.
Ekpa is a terrorist and should be treated as such by Finland. All this talk of protecting his rights while he destroys the south east is nonsense talk.
Complete nonsense I tell you. How is respecting freedom of speech weightier than killing, maiming and destruction? This is obviously happening because Nigeria has become weaker in the community of nations. Just imagine if a US is being threatened and destroyed by someone comfortably staying in another country. They should go and ask Osama.
Most people have been having terrible experiences with the online banking and USSD platforms, but personally, it seems to have worsened in the last couple of days. I stopped to get some fruits from a vendor yesterday evening, but I was neither able to do a transfer (via GTB or FBN) nor was I able to get cash via POS. This continued till this evening when I had to give the vendor cash for the fruits I collected since yesterday.
-So what has your experience been with the banking apps and platforms? - why are all the banks suddenly experiencing this during the cash crunch? - which is the best and most reliable bank now in terms of the banking apps? - what is/are the best options to performing cashless transactions now?
rexel99: Very immature from the spokesman. It’s unfortunate that ever since the current CJN assumed office this spokesman has been unnecessarily dabbling in the public domain dishing out press statement with big grammar just to impress himself and his boss. We have seen how other CJN and spokesmen have conducted themselves in the past. There was no reason to start responding to every Tom, dick and Harry. That's more mature, instead of attacking anything.
From the foregoing, its obvious that all this spokesman's bile, diatribes and threats are sanctioned by the CJN. Very unnecessary, in my opinion. The CJN is no doubt starting on the wrong footing, and he should just be careful.
Its sad that the guy is beginning to sound like the DSS spokesman, threatening everyone and communicating in a very immature manner.
💯! With “trying so hard to defend and attack…” one may only be drawing the conclusion that something must have gone wrong .
Hmmmm! These guys are jokers! Am even worried about the NURTW and co, this guys wants to add his. INEC need to monitor the activities of these transporters carefully during the elections o.
