He should keep scoring and maintain the scoring form till he attract big clubs in the Epl or la liga , the guy needs to make it big !I wish him the best player in Africa soon ...

Now that we have a good coach ,good team
And luck . NFF want to spoil the combination ... I hope it "s not a plan to frustrate Keshi out of his job ... So that they can bring in a foreign coach and negotiate "egunje" .

Keshi , pls bear with them , they are not business minded people ,so unfortunate they are insensitive to this area of their business , now that super Eagle is becoming a force to reckon with , can"t they seize the opportunity to promote the brand @ all cost instead of frustrating the manager .I hope NFF is not making mistake again ! This is an opportunity for them to market the brand to the world , I hope someone will call them to order ....

(speaking from business point of view)

The Eaglets deserves a credit for the display of individual brilliance ... The Sweden put up a good fight though .. The Mexican will give the Swedish a tough fight
.

Go boys you can win the cup again !

The mexicans got soaked with d pressure from the eaglet I forseen them playing in the finals again !

We will meet them again !

Most entertaining match of the tornament ... I've see. Other team matches ...our golden eaglets plys good football likewise the mexican.

Fynestboi: http://www.vanguardngr.com/2013/10/pressure-beat-ethiopia-nsofor/

Can d Mod move this false news from the front page and let us enjoy our weekend ...

Nose igiehbor came in as a substitute to stabilise the midfield. Not Nsofor ....

Was he humiliated ,what a sad way to retire?

Black stars are wicked ....

Bad influence ! Bad man +Bad boy ="Bad0 "

Bishaw is like a snake that is cut into different half with a cutlass ...Still struggling to live .

By now the handwriting is on the wall he shld know that he can"t win in Calabar , the Eagles does"t have the altitude to struggle with , also they will be playing @ home with the support of over 35,000 fans .

This will be a walkover match for the eagles ....God bless Nigeria !

I want u to surpass that record , the better ur performance with the National team the better for u ... Try and balance ur club performance score for the new club so that u can attract other big clubs especially in the epl . U will achieve greatness brother!

I like what is happening to the super eagles , competition will make the team stronger and it "s to the advantage of the coach , cos he will be left with so many option and this will yield a better result ...

Super Eagles keeps growing stronger .

The strength of Drogba!

I can see 2 balls , which one is the basket ball and the ...ball . Lol

She must be really strong !

It will be a real cracker , but the Eagles has what it takes to beat up the black stars .... Liked the Ghanian team for one thing ,they are full of strength and always ready to match up their strength with that of their opposition .

But tactically Eagle is better , the present team will tear them apart .

In one word Arsenal needs trophy!

naija noni: If players need to be added, players need to be removed. So the players i'll like to be added and those they should replace are:-
1)Dele Adeleye for James Okwuosa:-Reason is he is already a proven defender for nigeria.A very good defender and he will add better depth to the defence than Okwuosa. He plays in a better league(russian league) and he is a constant regular for his club Anzhi.More experienced than Okwuosa.
Adeleye should replace Okwuosa while Omeruo should replace Solomon Kwambe when he returns 4rm Injury.
2)Sone Aluko for Obinna Nsofor:-Reason is that he is a more versatile player than Nsofor becos he can play in any position aside defence and defensive midfield. He can play as a No.9,Behind a striker(emenike),A central attacking midfielder,A left winger and a right winger. He is currently in form more than Nsofor,He plays regularly in the most competitive league in the world(the EPL) unlike nsofor that warms d bench every week in an average russian league. He is hull city's best player. He has better abilities than nsofor.Only behind victor moses in football skills compared with the current nigerian team.Very pacy,Has good technique,Makes good decisions even better than victor moses,And his free-kick and long range shooting abilities are what is lacking most in the S.E.His addition to d squad will add more quality and depth than Nsofor.
And here is a Stats Fact:-Statistics shows that Sone Aluko is the most fouled player so far in the EPL this season. He has been Fouled 22 times, tied with Chelsea's Eden Hazard also been fouled 22 times. Two of hull city's penalties dis season was won by Aluko.
That alone is a good reason we need him because only Skillful, dangerous players draw most fouls.
3)Imoh Ezekiel for Shola Ameobi:-Reason is Imoh Ezekiel is a natural goal-scorer unlike Shola Ameobi that scores only 2/3 goals per season.Ameobi is more experienced than Imoh. But i'll rather have "exceptional quality" over "Experience with little quality".
Imoh Ezekiel plays for arguably the best club in the belgian league(Standard liege). He is a proven goal-scorer.Finished as 3rd highest scorer in d belgian league last season with 16goals.A nominee for belgian league Young player of the year.Currently has 6goals 3assists in all competitions so far these season with 4 of the 6goals in the league. And he is only 19yrs and has a long/bright future ahead.Ameobi is and was never a regular 4 newcastle,he spends most time on the bench.Imoh ezekiel would add better quality and depth to the S.E squad than Ameobi.Emenike is currently the only Striker that produces goals regularly 4 nigeria.Adding Imoh Ezekiel would only make our striking department rich with quality.
4)Reuben Gabriel for Sunday Mba/Oduamadi:-This was a tough one but YES !.Mba is a very good player but he is an Attacking Midfielder. We are already and would be spoilt for choice in that department with Mikel,Igiebor,John Ogu and with d addition of Sone Aluko.Based on current form, all these players have been better 4 both club and country.Sone Aluko would offer more in attacking midfield than Mba.
But what we lack is hard-tackling,hard-working aggressive defensive midfielders.Currently only Onazi fits that.Mikel is naturally a lazy player. And for our midfield to do well against big tams,we need to play two hard-working/aggressive players with Mikel to cover up 4 mikel's laziness. The ethiopia match slightly showed this. And Gabriel reuben is just d right player 4 that.
Gabriel reuben for either Mba or Oduamadi would be great.
NOTE:-Haruna lukman is in great form for his club, but i didnt add him because he is an attacking Midfielder.Sone Aluko would offer what Haruna would offer and even more. And Aluko is more disciplined too.
Therefore wit d addition of these players, the S.E 23-man list would be like:-
Goalkeepers:-Enyeama,Ejide,Agbim
Defenders:-Adeleye,Omeruo,Egwueke,B.Francis,Ambrose,Echiejile,Oboabona
Midfielders:-Mikel,Onazi,Reuben,Aluko,Igiebor,Ogu.
Forwards :- Oduamadi,Moses,Emenike,Ideye,Imoh Ezekiel,Musa,Nwofor.

Nice write up .... I really want huge competition in d team ... Victor Moses needs to up his game . So much believe in his ability.

Keshi u "re been spot on ! What a nice comment ... I like the competition in the super eagles they , I know they will become a force to reckon with .

[quote author=Afam4eva]I'll really like to see the Algorithm used in these rankings cos some things just don't add up. I see no reason why the Super Eagles should not be ranked number one in Africa.[/quote

you will need this info. The basic logic of these calculations is simple: any team that does well in world football wins points which enable it to climb the world ranking.
A team’s total number of points over a four-year period is determined by adding:
the average number of points gained from matches during the past 12 months;
and.the average number of points gained from matches older than 12 months (depreciates yearly). like the case of Egypt
Calculation of points for a single match
The number of points that can be won in a match depends on the following factors:
Was the match won or drawn? (M)

• How important was the match (ranging from a friendly match to a FIFA World Cup™ match)? (I)

• How strong was the opposing team in terms of ranking position and the confederation to which they belong? (T and C)

These factors are brought together in the following formula to ascertain the total number of points (P).

P = M x I x T x C

The following criteria apply to the calculation of points:

M: Points for match result

Teams gain 3 points for a victory, 1 point for a draw and 0 points for a defeat. In a penalty shoot-out, the winning team gains 2 points and the losing team gains 1 point.

I: Importance of match

Friendly match (including small competitions): I = 1.0

FIFA World Cup™ qualifier or confederation-level qualifier: I = 2.5

Confederation-level final competition or FIFA Confederations Cup: I = 3.0

FIFA World Cup™ final competition: I = 4.0

T: Strength of opposing team

The strength of the opponents is based on the formula: 200 – the ranking position of the opponents
As an exception to this formula, the team at the top of the ranking is always assigned the value 200 and the teams ranked 150th and below are assigned a minimum value of 50. The ranking position is taken from the opponents’ ranking in the most recently published FIFA/Coca-Cola World Ranking.

C: Strength of confederation

When calculating matches between teams from different confederations, the mean value of the confederations to which the two competing teams belong is used. The strength of a confederation is calculated on the basis of the number of victories by that confederation at the last three FIFA World Cup™ competitions (see following page). Their values are as follows:

UEFA/CONMEBOL 1.00 CONCACAF 0.88
AFC/CAF 0.86 OFC 0.85

you can get this info. from fifa website

gradually we are going back to where we belong .... i could remember back then , we were among the top 10 in the world

May be they want the score line to be reversed .
Ethiopia want victory @ all cost !

What a comfortable score line !
Ghanians needs 2more goals to spell Egyptian ...common guys you can do it !!!

boron10: This Ghanaian team fit beat Naija o. See as them dey Embarrass Egypt.

Guy, the Egypt team is very weak , poor defense poor midfield

The Ghanians have exploit the weakness of the Egyptian .... Poor midfield, poor defence.

Essen on fire!

Kingmojo: R Ghanaians really noisy?

I have so many of them as friends ...

I wish my noisy neighbor victory ...

The Egyptian they see today they shall see them no more .

The noisy neighbor will surely carry the day ...expecting a very tough cracker though !

Nice one , we don"t need record ... We need victory and good football ...eagles shld qualify first and after that we can start checking our performance statistics .

Was the pitch repaired when we scored ? The answer is no .....most of the players started their game on rough field , even the altitude condition did"nt change ...eagles style of play changed immediately we conceded that goal ... The eagles seriously needs a psychologist to put some things in check , even if u "re conserving energy , u don"t do it and the peril of the game... They could not put 3 passes together . We are so lucky that the Ethiopians lacked good ball finishing it would have been a different story ....

They should "t put up this kind of display come November ....

He won the game for us , cos of his personal brilliance ! And his shot power is too strong for the Ethiopian keeper to stop ...

I remembered the Ivorian keeper in South Africa . We need another prolific striker Emenike ...

Nice one !let the World Cup preparation begin.

I know other highly rated team will love to play us soon ...i wish we will play Germany , Netherland, Columbia and one strong team from Africa again ,either Ghana , Egypt or Algeria .

Oboabona was excellent today ... But Emenike made d difference ! I will give it to Emenike
