If his gear thuds then there’s a code. The D doesn’t have to blink continually as it’s already stored in the ecu.

I’m certain Paper clip throws all stored codes, it’s how to interpret it that becomes the issue

That’s if you were successful enough to not toast your ecu first grin

Op when it tries to enter gear two and it makes that ‘thud’ do your tyres ‘screech/chop’ too? If It does then it may not be skipping gears yet

Take it on a short drive, while on first gear rev up to 2k and ease off the throttle, if your gear up shifts without the ‘thud’ then it’s in gear 2

It’s a very bad sign when these transmissions ‘skip’ gears undecided

you got to make sure

Try to pull transmission specific codes with a good scan tool and not those small blue ones

Or be like me and use the paper clip method grin

many big names with businesses on nairaland have risen and fallen or disappeared out of existence as a whole since I’ve been here watching on the sidelines.

Everything that has a beginning must have an end and anything with a start must run till it’s finished.

It’s how your own ‘end/finish’ comes about that matters the most. People should focus on what’s important in life and toss the BS aside in all matters especially as they stick fingers into forums like this in search of clients or business.

People call this a Faceless forum, well 10 years ago I’d agree but that’s not what it seems to be these days.

If two people are arguing and they are both wrong, people please point it out ... stop saying ‘I know him snd he can’t do that’ ... these words can set someone up for a ruin because that person will not consider being wrong while in reality he might have been.

Concerning this post ... The players know themselves. I love drama but I never want to star in any grin

No, only small games can make me do that. Even bulletforce made me stop playing after updating it 3 times by force. At least coc and cr is at most 300mb to update per month

So should keep driving with the light on and wait till the next time I’m changing bearings to know if that is the culprit?

and right after the bearings were changed nobody worked on the rear tires before this handbrake light issue poped up immediately. That’s why I’m confused.

I had the bearings for the front tyre hubs changed 3 months ago. After the change my handbrake lights have always stayed on.

Once I switch the car off and on the lights go away but after I drive for like 3 minutes it comes on again.

I don’t have functional ABS but The brakes still work fine and the handbrake is functional on both rear wheels as I jacked them up individually to check. The car is driving as it was before the bearings were changed but that light just keeps staying on permanently

I don’t know what the issue is. I scanned but nothing. I have no CEL
