Impressively bad you mean?

Taxation ensures a more liveable and equal society.

It is well bro...

Sometimes when I look at my dad,I only wonder how he managed to do it....As in,how he managed to take care of my brothers and I after the death of my mom despite being jobless..............There was never a time we went hungry...We were even privileged to attend one of the best private school in town...Tho there were challenges along the line but it really helped shaped us into being what and who we are becoming....

Op, it's never been easy...........But trust me, there's no wicked father anywhere who would fold his hands and watch his children lack when he has the ability to solve their problem....

May we become fathers and not only but the type that will be able to provide eveey basic need of our wards and our parents and every loved one ๐Ÿ™

Disclaimer: Got nothing against you, just that your way of thinking is misguided and pretty flawed.

Enough of wrongheaded statements like "no parent want to harm their kid" bla bla bla. That's not only an biased take but also sentimental.

For some reasons, some adult children are erratic and guilty of neglecting their parents. The same also applies to some utterly irresponsible and eccentric parents. It goes both ways. And each case Is different.Don't come here telling people stuffs as if we are 7 year olds

You were lucky to have a good dad , good for you. But to invalidate other adult children's genuine perception about their parents is absurd. You don't leave their lives - you know next to nothing about their lived experience and their family circumstances, yet here you are saying what you know little about. As if that's not enough, you went up making ridiculous generalisation, that's pretty aggravating.

And,Why should the op trust you? Who made you an authoritative source of truth?

My guy, rest abegg.

Career / Re: What Valuable Online Skill Can A 23 Year Old Learn Now? by Limassol(m): 1:29pm On Aug 28, 2023
quickhubservice:
The zeal to learn an online skill is one thing but the obstacles you will encounter is another.

You can try programming ( don't learn by hitting the books and learning scripts and simple syntaxes, pick a project maybe a simple webpage, a simple app like a calculator etc) that's the fastest way to get rolling but you will learn that, that too is very challenging and need a lot of deep patience cause when an error is made lol...

Then you can try forex: three major things to learn is the technical analysis, then fundamental analysis, and psychological analysis. I arranged these three things from the easiest to the hardest (But note that having all these skills with little money will still make it hard to succeed as a forex trader, your mind/psychology will never adapt to the idea of loosing money no matter how you try to convince yourself, if you don't have that money to willingly loose, If you can't accept loosing money & I'm sure you can't especially at this stage in your life, you can't make it as a forex trader). That's why I will advise anyone looking at this option to learn it as skill but a secondary skill, have a primary source of income. I can talk at length about forex but that's for another day.

You can also learn online marketing skills, this need alot of promotional skills and it involves understanding demand and supply based on what particular type of product or service you want to offer and to what type of consumers/customers you're targeting.

Now there are many other skills out there like content creation, video editing, teaching if you have a very valuable skill that you can teach you can enlist on Fiverr, Upwork is now difficult, you can still visit Fiverr or Upwork to draw inspirations lot of ideas there etc.

I remember when I was still starting a few years back, it's always a gradual process don't expect instant results. I too am still figuring out my own puzzle, some ideas worked some didn't, lost alot of money due to the fact that online marketplace is a place to meet all sorts of people and challenges that will actively try to take money out from you till you can't give no more.
Omo story long jare.

Baba , I'm thinking UX design or python, what do you suggest? Help a bro...

I don't know if this is the right section for this topic, but then, since it's about relationship/friendship, I decided to post it here.

So, I read a rumour of how a young girl who scored 9 As in her WAEC result was poisoned to death. I can't confirm the authenticity of that story, but it took me to memory lane... Maybe, it was her best friend that poisoned her to death out of jealousy. That led me to create this thread.

Back to the topic. โ€œIt is better to be alone, than to be in bad company.โ€ โ€“ George Washington.

I had my taste of a very bad friendship which lasted for more than 10 years. We met in school (higher institution). He approached me during my first few weeks in school, and we became friends.

He had some good sides, but the bad sides makes me question the good ones. We study and sit together during exam. We share answers codedly in hall, but I'm now thinking he might have been giving me the wrong answers while I was busy supplying him with the right ones.

All of this guy's effort was to have a better result than mine, and to make over 3.0 CGPA which he eventually succeeded at. There are times I could've gotten an A in some of my courses including a carryover, but this guy blocked it and have me got a C. I don't want to go into details.

Many things happened between us until few years ago when he referred me for a job, I got the job and was made the manager. The same company employed him a month later as a line manager. This is where he couldn't hide his true colour anymore and started being a thorn in my flesh in our work place.

Apparently he was pained that he referred me and I got a higher pay and position than he got. After many years of friendship, it was then I found out how dangerous that guy can be. I had to cut off that friendship few months into the job, and I'm never ready to have anything to do with that guy in my life again.

It's surprising how the same guy you dine with, drink with, party with, even travel to their hometown and sleep for days, has always been in competition with you without your knowledge. Such a person can kill out of jealousy.

We have to be careful of the kind of people we keep as friends. The funny thing is that I'm not even the best student while in school, why competing with me instead of the best students? Abi first class no dey sweet you Some people are perhaps and furthermore ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿคฃ, even notwithstanding. ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

Una good morning o jare

Critically reread and comprehend your post and two things will be clear

โ€ข You are not telling us the whole story
โ€ข You are a total ingrate and a toxic person

If the second point is accurate then, I wish your friend the best. And as for you, I hope nature takes care of you , as it has done to millions before you sad

Hello, what is your opinion on the amount regarded as Low Income, Middle Income and High Income in Nigeria

Low Income (N30,000-N150,000)
Middle Income (N151,000-N400,000)
High Income (N401,000-N800,000)

I see anything above N800,000 as the elite class

Per capita or household?

The difference matters.

Travel / Re: Memoirs From Chile by Limassol(m): 3:33pm On Aug 13, 2023
Congrats on your move!

By the way, let me give you a piece of my mind.

Firstly, you fumbled by belittling people's father land. What where you expecting the reaction to be? The torrents of backlash you got wasn't suprising to me. It's a natural reaction. You ain't the first to tread this route. We've seen many here, a classic example was a Nigerian student in Germany with the monicker ilovemunich. We knew how it ended.

I think you could take some humility (and even
communication skills) lessons from a great nairander who did his masters in France with the moniker mrphysics, man was damn wise and tactful. Emulate him!

Secondly, I would like to point out that though Chile is doing relatively well compared to its peers in South America, infact, few African countries could match it's quality of life,it's far from the Garden of Eden you are trying to make it seem. It's mired in constitutional crisis. Not to mention structural inequality.

I kid you not, the 2019-2020 national protests that rocked Chile were terrible and nearly plunged the country into anarchy. Followed the events and it's still fresh in my memory. I guess you would be shitting out your panties if fate got you trapped there then grin cheesy ( kidding)

Lastly, few here realized how brilliant your strategy is, I have seen many did the same and succeed , I hope you do too.

The moment I saw Chile , I presume it's a stepping stone to a final destination. Good luck.

That money you spent on supplements? You are likely better off spending it on adding more healthy food to your dietary pattern.

On the contrary, washing your vegetables well with lots of clean water before you eat them is actually a great nutritional advice.

I am not boasting in any way but I am trying to build the confidence of average students that they can get an excellent result without engaging in any form of malpractice or looking for short cut to pass. What they need to do is to work very hard and be fully dedicated to their studies. And lastly, school is not a scam because lots of great men have benefited from it. Great men like Peter obi, chukwuma soludo, wole soyinka, yemi osinbajo.

I would like to know your study strategy/ method.

It sounds like you've already tried a lot of troubleshooting steps, but the issues with your Samsung A20s persist. Here are a few more things you can try:

Clear the cache and data of the affected Google apps. You can do this by going to Settings > Apps > [app name] > Storage > Clear cache and Clear data.

Boot your phone in safe mode and see if the issues persist. If they don't, it's likely that a third-party app is causing the problems. You can then uninstall recently installed apps one by one to identify the culprit.

If the above steps don't work, you may need to consider taking your phone to a Samsung service center or authorized repair shop to get it checked out by a professional.

I hope one of these solutions helps you resolve the issues with your phone. Good luck!

I heartily appreciate your comment. Thank you.

It sounds like your phone may be experiencing some issues with its processing system and Google Play Services. Here are some steps you can take to try and resolve the problem:

Restart your phone: Try restarting your phone and see if that resolves the issue. If it doesn't, move on to the next step.

Clear the cache and data of affected apps: Go to Settings > Apps > select the affected apps > Storage > Clear Cache and Clear Data. This will clear any temporary data that might be causing the problem.

Update your apps: Go to the Google Play Store and check if there are any updates available for your apps. If there are, update them to their latest version.

Clear cache and data of Google Play Services: Go to Settings > Apps > Google Play Services > Storage > Clear Cache and Clear Data.

Disable and enable Google Play Services: Go to Settings > Apps > Google Play Services > Disable. Wait for a few minutes and then re-enable it.

If none of these steps work, you may need to consider a factory reset or seek help from a phone technician.
