Well, you can't tell with that because a so called multinational company still owes employees their salaries. If they won't be able to pay you, they would not accept you. Hospital job is inevitable. Even during war, people still visit the hospitals. You are good to go

That depends on your negotiations with your prospective employer

Hmm, okay would they be able to afford to pay me the amount they're saying they'll pay me?

Thanks a lot.

Visiting who? 3months bank statement is required, if you work and earn your salary as you have said, why would you use your friend's bank statement? Thats a red flag.

williams2600:
Hi guys i need your advice please

I want to apply for a visiting visa to Germany i have the following documents

Passport
Declaration of commitment (from a friend inviting me)
Usd bank statement over $3500 USD and naira about 2m
Proof of employment in an NGO
Proof i am on leave from work
Invitation letter from my friend
My friends bank statement
My health insurance
I would get the flight reservation soonest

Please is this enough to get a visiting visa for about 18days as a first time traveller with no travel history?
TravelRe: How Is Life Generally In Igarra, Akoko-edo, Edo State. by Localordinary: 10:35pm On Jul 24, 2022
Igarra is a more safer place compared to Auchi,Ekpoma or Benin. Akokoedo is a rural area, there are rocks and plenty of cement industries at Akokoedo. You would definitely enjoy all the natural food when you relocate there. You won't ever regret it as the people there are very friendly and like to welcome people outside their race.

mediclife1987:
Hello pals. I just got a job to work as a Medical Doctor at Igarra, Akoko-Edo, Edo State.

I've been doing my background check about the place via the internet but yet to get a satisfactory information this far.

I'll like people here who are familiar with the place to kindly hint me about the community. Someone told me it's safer than Auchi, Bini and the rest in terms of cultism.

I hope it's not a village as I'll be getting paid a substantial sum per month, and I'm wondering how they be able to raise that kind of salary.

Pls guys, I await your respected intels!

Thanks!

You are doing well bro. This is a first hand information. Follow who know road. Most people who have not travelled outside Nigeria tend to discourage people from travelling outside. Its a pity

Kly003:
Guys, it is said when you need a favour from the gods! You stay Holy! Some take to Thanksgiving and Tithing Some stay celebate while some does both...

Story continues

Finally, i was done with my interview session. It was a huge sigh of relief for me, but a new wave of pressure. It was as though i was served with a chilled water on a coated hot palette.

I had no business thereafter in Abuja, hence my decision was in a month time. It was no need inconveniencing my friend. I booked a bus back home to Benin the following day , Sitting close to the window session, thinking things through. In my return to Benin, we had a ghastly motor accident, the vehicle was badly damaged. Few people sustained bruises, for me it was just a knock on my knee which later healed up. We got another bus and continued the journey afterwards. I prayed for my safety back home. It was a panic moment for me.

Finally, i arrived home and had some rest. Becoming conscious of the calendar like a man calculating his wife period, i was envisaging my decision.

Days turned, weeks and weeks turned a month and lo, it was my decision time. Prior that moment, i had heard many were denied. It was a tough scare for me, Imaginary thought flooded my mind on things i felt i didn't do well.

On the day of my collection, i couldn't make do with travelling via the road again, also couldn't afford flight at that time. So on recommendation from a friend of mine, who had someone collect visa for people, he suggested someone. I never wanted someone to get my visa for me, so i declined and used my closed guy in Kubwa, Abuja where i stayed.

Following up on him daily, like someone monitoring his bet on lives cores He kept telling me, the queue was long and they closed before it got to his turn. This happened for 4 days, while i kept sending transport fare for him over and yet, same response. Then i thought it wise to travel down myself.

"Could i be denied and he's hoarding the info from me or he is not going there at all" These thoughts resonated in my mind. Finally i convinced myself to leave for Abuja, the following day.

I arrived ABJ, the next day i was already waiting for them at the embassy. We had struggle to take numbers and i was number 10... It was a tug of war! While dishing out decision from 1-9 only two persons had visa.... I was hell scared. It was my turn...

I went in, met with a polish man, he looked sternly to my eyes and asked me to sign... My hands shaked while signing.... He then told me, calm down and congratulations.....

I got my VISA.....

Coming out, lots of people at the entrance jumped at me and asked me "how you take run am" I was so happy that i had to rush to my guys place and safe guard my passport.....

Daniel... "Oya nah, bring all the Abj babes... I ready" We flexed that night!

My countdown from naija started.

Petyprincess:
Hello, it is so nice to see a write up about Poland from someone with first hand experience.

One of the reason I barely comment on travel section is because most people here are so ignorant and they often never left the shores of Nigeria.
How will someone with right sense compare Nigeria to Poland?
Poland have access to 180+ countries visa free and one of the safest country to live in yet people that live in poverty capital of the world think their opinions matter?

I still remember how I was advised to drop my polish boyfriend because they believe all polish people are racist, thank God I have mind of my own.

I pity anyone that still listens to non experienced people on the internet, just make your research and follow your heart.

This is both of our passport I took when he came to Mauritius last year, travel with both passport and you will see the difference between the two then you will realize Nigerian passport is nothing to write home about.

Money that you can't forfeit don't lend it out

quote author=PavillionEnergy post=113929360]The heading sounds funny and I trust Nairalanders to take a swipe at me. But this has been disturbing me and I want you guys to help me look into this matter.

In 2021, I came across a young lady. She is beautiful and she has the right curves in appropriate dimensions. I liked her instantly. We exchanged contacts and we started talking.

I was very busy with work and we spoke like twice in a week though I used to see her briefly whenever she visits my Uncle's shop.

I later noticed this girl usually hangs out with a lot of guys. All these boys who wear stockings, carry cross-bags, lock their hairs and wear 'oroma' earpods. grin
She is constantly on TikTok and all my 'crush' for her has disappeared.

In April this year, I received a call from her and she told me she went to Abuja for a programme. She said she was stranded and needed some funds to sort out something.

I wired her the money and I relocated from the town in May. I waited till June and she never called to dicsuss the money.
I started calling her two weeks ago and she wouldn't pick my calls. After series of unanswered calls, she picked and told me to send my account details.

She did not send the money and has not returned my calls since then.

How do I get the money back?
Relocating to Ghana meaning you got a job or starting up a business? For you to apply for any visa at any embassy here in Ghana you must be living here legally. Life in Ghana is 4 times more expensive as compared to Nigeria. As of today 30th May 2022, 1litre of fuel is sold at 9.5cedis which is almost 800naira per litre. Houses are very very expensive to rent as well. To do your residence permit, you must be ready to cough out hundreds of thousands of naira with a valid employers document. Think about it before you japa to this place. I come in peace

Henrycube:
Please folks am planning to relocate to Ghana pending the time i will later cross to Europe. What are the things I need to put in place and also can any one tell me about life in Ghana? Thanks

DOLLAR TO NAIRA EXCHANGE RATESBlack Market: Dollar Hits N611 To Naira At Parallel MarketPublished on 22 May 2022 at 11:10 AMBy George Oshogwe Ogbolu
Kindly share this story:
Dollar To Naira Exchange Rate Today 25 November 2021 (Black Market Rate)

The Nigerian currency (naira) now exchanges at N611 to the dollar at the parallel market, popularly known as the black market.

Naija News reports that the naira’s official rate stands at 419.02 at the Investors and Exporters window, after several dips on Friday.

But the Nigerian currency has dropped massively at the parallel market to 611 for the first time in the country’s history.

According to Naija News Forex and source at the black market, a dollar is sold at N611 on Sunday morning.

Meanwhile, the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has denied plans to phase out the circulation of the lower denomination of the naira notes.

Osita Nwanisobi, director, corporate communication, CBN, said this on Saturday in a telephone conversation with TheCable.

Nwanisobi said: “The CBN is not phasing out anything.”

The Delta State Branch Controller of CBN, Godwin Okafor, while urging market men and women to sign into the e-Naira, had called on traders to key into the central bank’s e-Naira policy.

He said, “We are here at the market today to sensitise the market people on the use of e-Naira. It is fully backed by CBN, unlike Bitcoin which has no legal backing.”

Also speaking, Dr Aminu Bizi, a consultant of CBN on e-Naira, said Delta was chosen as the second state to sensitise market women on e-Naira after Lagos.

“We are here to sensitise market men and women, shop to shop on the use of e-Naira. CBN has gone behind ATM, POS, therefore, we are going to meet the Okada/tricycle union on this policy.

Go on twitter, get the video on your phone, tag the Nigerian army, human rights of Nigeria, Nigerian police force,Mr macaroni, rinu oduala, then upload the video and state what happened at your shop. This would be addressed in less than 24hrs. You will thank me later

quote author=l3st3r post=113023839]Good day. I own a betking shop. I also run a POS service in the shop. One day a customer came that he wants to play virtual sports bet. He asked to use the POS cos he doesn't have any money on him. I tried his card and it was saying "insufficient funds". He says he has money in the card and I should try it again.

Meanwhile I saw he was attempting to still play the bet. I told him he should wait let's resolve the withdrawal before he plays his bet. He went ahead and play a bet of #1000. I became angry and asked him if I didn't ask him not to play that bet until we resolve his withdrawal. I asked him how he intend paying for the bet now. He says I should use his atm. I told him his atm card is still showing insufficient fund. He said why am I shouting at him if I know who he is.

I asked who are you? na you open shop for me. The whole thing broke into a shouting bout. Luckily his game won. I deducted my #1000 and asked him to leave that he won't be allowed to play game here anymore as he is a troublesome person.

He says he is going to play and if I know who he is. We got into more shouting bout again. He finally left and says he would be coming back.

He came back today one month later wearing an army uniform with two of his other colleagues. He started hitting me with belt. Says I should do frog jump and other nonsensical punishment. People around later heard the noise. They started begging. When they asked me what the problem is before I try to explain, they would hit me with the belt that I should shut up. When they are satisfied they finally left.

I checked for the name tag on his uniform but he has removed it. His other two colleague are putting on muftty. I do have a CCTV camera in my shop which they are not aware, so everything is on video.

Please, how do I proceed with this case and get justice, pls don't say police cos I took an issue to the police the other time when money was stolen in my shop. Even with video evidence nothing was done. They tasked me anyhow. One naira no come out..

I know this is not the right section for this just want somewhere with a bit of traffic. Mods pls move this to the frontpage so I can get a range of advice.
