cleric: I know of someone who was born on 26 February, 1979 . A day where there was a total eclipse of the sun.
That is the Anti-Christ. Total Eclipse of the Sun? Ha! He doesn't like light; he loves darkness.

teeboss: But March 2, 1942 is a Monday Sir
You see, this is the kind of person an MOG does not like; a person that goes around to verify facts. Who asked you to check which day it was? You need to mind your business. By the way, your post seems to be the first I have ever "liked" on Nairaland.

Now, let me help my Christian brethren find the usual escape route when they find themselves in this kind of corner: muddle up the puddle!

It was Sunday/Monday! The mother went into labor overnight Sunday and delivered on Monday!

So, what was el Rufai's motive for painting Anambra in the borrowed robes of poverty? There are those who feel that he saw the NBS figures and decided it offered the opportunity to "retaliate" on former Central Bank Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo's assertion that poverty is "a northern phenomenon", as justified not just by the NBS's figures alone. He probably used Anambra to "fight back" but unfortunately for him, he failed to make his point stick, as his conclusions flew in the face of real life evidence.

Some even say el Rufai decided to call Anambra dirty names because his party, the CPC, failed woefully not just in Anambra State but also the entire South East, South-South, North Central and most parts of the upper north.

Poverty is everywhere in Nigeria, Anambra and the South East inclusive. But for el Rufai to go on a binge about poverty in Anambra State when his own part of the country is the dirt poorest amounts to pointing to a speck in someone's eye while ignoring the log of wood in his. The altruism of motive was not convincing. And for me, the charge of "misplaced priorities" fell flat.
That's all I could pick from the article: it was nothing but an attack or refutation of el Rufai's claim. No single stat was provided; just a long ramble against el Rufai. Is this all you have?

Aussie: I can never and will never deviate from the way i was brought up; The God-fearing way.
Good for you. Now put your weapon where your mouth is and mount a Holy War. I assure you of my support. FULL support.

By the way I appreciate why your infection (from the zombie bite) is still fresh; if we trace your genealogy, the first Christian in your family can't be beyond the 4th or 5th generation. Those who got bitten over 1000 years ago are already cured as the infection got weaker and weaker. Most of them are completely cured now. Go to Europe and see for yourself.

And now, I stand to be cursed by your god for shouting "Thief thief" to a thief.

Na wa for your moral schizophrenia.
Haba, but God blessed Europeans for bringing salvation to our land; and zombifying the entire populace. Speaking of curses, I don't know which is a bigger curse: to get attacked by these zombies, or to be a zombie.

dayokanu: In terms of Poverty Lagos, Osun and Ondo have Poverty under 50%
But dude, those poverty rates across board tell an alarming story (which of course we are aware of as a result of anecdotal evidence such as high crime rates and poor people we see around, beggars etc). The US or Europe would've collapsed with an average poverty rate of 30%. I bet ya.

plaetton: Excellent.
This is part of what the post tried to highlight: The narcisistic and despotic tendencies that are the natural outcomes of, and flows with, corruptly acquired affluence.

Every known despot tries, at one time or another to deify themselves by adding mystery and miracle to the circumstances of their birth or early childhood.
This particular despot and imperial ruler of the break-away civilisation known as redeemers, a.ka. the land of MORONICA, is just borrowing a leaf from other despots and bogey men before him.
Hmm. Reminiscent of Hitler.

all4naija: I don't get it!
Ain't you the one arguing about IQ some months back? I actually thought you were smarter. The only way Niger State Government being the poorest in Nigeria can imply that Niger residents are also the poorest is if the residents go to the Government House to line up to get paid. Niger State Government is like a person on its own and has its own purse. So when a state is called "poor", it is the purse of the state we refer to; not the people living in it. Mexico is a poor nation (here referring to the purse of the Mexican government and not the citizens); yet had the richest man in the world at one time. Will you say because the richest man in the world lived in Mexico, then Mexico was the richest country in the world? Please if you still don't get it, you will never get it.

Niger state was the poorest in feb 2012 and by The end of 2012 they had become the least poor.
How does one educate an ignoramus like this one?

OK, Niger State is the poorest IS NOT the same as Niger State residents are the poorest. There is such a thing as the Niger State Government. When they say Niger State is poor, they refer to the government, not the people living in Niger State. When they say Niger State has the lowest poverty rate, they refer to the residents of Niger State; not the Niger State Government. Dummy.

The funny thing is, neither of those guys would have given a thought to coaching a club in the English League before or shortly after it became EPL. It's only recently circa (2000) that the league actually caught the fancy of who-is-who in European football.

dayokanu: You mean TERRY BUTCHER?
Yeah, it's him. Check this:

Just four minutes after the ''Hand of God'' goal, however, came ''The Goal of the Century'', so called because it is often claimed to be the greatest individual goal of all time. Héctor Enrique passed the ball to Maradona some ten metres inside his own half. Maradona then began his 60-metre, 10-second dash towards the English goal, passing four English outfield players – Peter Beardsley, Peter Reid, Terry Butcher (twice) and Terry Fenwick. Maradona finished the move by dribbling round Peter Shilton and slotting into the net to make the score 2–0 to Argentina.

I remember when Maradona came up against England in 86 WC. Then England had the "best defender in the world"; I forgot his name. He was expected to stop Maradona; only for him to be left for dead TWICE in the slalom leading to the best world cup goal in history. All those you mentioned would just allow Messi to score the best goal in EPL history. Messi has faced harder defenders like Pepe and Sergio Ramos and left them eating grass.

deeplow: When u watch La liga matches(as someone with a lil football talent),u tend to think football is easy and you can do what these players are doing.if u'd be honest,u'd agree with me that la liga can't compare with the Epl in terms of defending. As someone had earler written,it is quite true that most Epl teams don't put too much energy into the europa league.the other "big" la liga teams know the europa league is the only available silverware for them, dats why they tend to perform better.
Did you see how that foolish theory was refuted? It's not true English clubs don't put much energy when they play in the Europa league. Just read the refutations yourself. I don't need to list them here.

chic2pimp: What rubbish are you spewing here. So pirlo underperforming in the finals means he did not have a better season overall than at least 2 of those midfielders yes?

Let me take u back to 2010 for a second. Did Messi's atrocious performance in the quarterfinals against a much inferior German team stop him from landing the ballon dor?

Lastly lest we 4get the huge difference in quality of the two mid fields on display that evening.
You are the one spewing rubbish here. There's something they call head to head and it's a good way of knowing who's better. When Pirlo went head to head against his rivals he was silent while they performed. This was not about a bad performance in a single game.
