The guys are really taking this " marrying up" thing serious.
Something tells me that even you will marry a vulcanizer at this stage you are in. So if a woman in your state wants to marry you up (even if she's ugly), which man will not oblige?

Billyonaire: There is no case to answer there. He obviously went for a show that pays higher. Opa Williams is too much in a hurry to go police but he couldnt muscle up being a higher bidder. N1.7m isnt money, cant even buy a great rim for a nice car.
You think this is a case of 2 people bidding for the services of an asewo? That was breach of contract and he may end up losing way more than 1.7 million. Sorry o Mr Big Money. De moni no fit buy rim eh? E go do you like accident.

4llerbuntu: PS: You are not in any way more invested in, or more of an android fanboy as i am. doubt if u will ever be
While I am not a fanboy, this kind of talk makes me realize why you think so much of this project: inability to see beyond yourself. I don't know you and you don't know me; yet you think you are more invested in Android than I am? Hilarious.

all4naija: There is a great sense in that but android being the bigger player will obliterate Ubuntu so easily. I am not in support of a merger though.
Well, I am merely saying how I believe events will play out; I am absolutely ambivalent. Check what the OP said here:

You cannot begin to imagine the level of Devv-ing and hacking that will occur on this platform, no you can't

AOSP, CyanogenMod etc will be child's play compared with this.
Now you tell me how many users in the entire world are interested in all that geek-speak? This O/S will have to be more appealing to basic users to cause a dent in the Android user-base. But if that's all it's got to offer, it won't even take up to 0.001% of current Android users away.

So eventually, they may be better off selling themselves by affiliating with Android one way or the other.
Phones › Re: Meet Ubuntu Phone Os. by logica(m): 3:22pm On Jan 03, 2013
4llerbuntu: kindly explain what you mean by this "merge with android" thing. i don't get
Android is more than an O/S; it is a platform and framework. That's all.
Take for instance a state like Anambra state; here, indigenes from Anambra South and Anambra Central perform excellently well while perfornance in most part of Anambra North could be likened to what is obtainable in the North. In this case, would the people of Anambra North not be marginalized by using a blanket cut off for the whole state?
Now that is a good point. Dunno if the people from Anambra North will appreciate comparison to the Northerners though.

To survive, eventually they will either fully merge with Android or ride on the Android popularity by ensuring fully Android support.

neksummi: what I know was that, my head was swollen, the hair on my body straightened up, goose pimples were all over my body. It was terrible.
That's what generally happens when people are scared shitless. Now the question is whether they actually truly saw what made them scared stiff; or just a case of mind playing tricks.

Billyonaire: Logic lacks substantial premises to arrive at empirical conclusion in the field of paranormals. Its best you confine yourself to the domain of mind. This is beyond dimensions that mind plays a role.
LOL. Dude, even within the study of paranormal, some have been proven to exist while others are mere bullsh!t. For instance ESP (Extrasensory Perception) is well tested and proven; even if the workings are not yet clear.

You may be right about their intentions. But the reality is the end result was even a bigger mistake than Lord Luggard made in the first place: the Nigerian Civil War.

the only thing it shares with android is the kernel, and the kernel is LINUX kernel, not android kernel.

they may use similar tech, but its different.

if that was possible, Maemo would have been merged with android
It WILL have to be made to work with Android or it will die.

QUOTA SYSTEM IS THE STRONGEST FACTOR THAT HAS LED TO THE DOWNFALL OF EDUCATION IN THIS COUNTRY!
Very wrong. Exam malpractice is the downfall of education. Especially when even parents and teachers are usually the ones behind these actions. Early in life, their children and wards have seen what Nigeria is all about: Cheating. Dishonesty. And then you expect these children to be honest citizens when they grow up?

What this merely shows is even when handed the "odu", Yobe students cannot even copy the answers into the answer booklets. Is it flawed exams like JAMB and Common Entrance you want to use to adjudge the region where the smartest students come from? Exams in which parents and teachers openly assist their wards? For all I care the result might be a pointer to states with the highest cheating rates. Quota or no quota, the conduct of the exams render them as useless.

Ozonna: For your information, Shiroro and Kainji Dams located in northern Nigeria are not the only power generating stations we had/have in Nigeria.
See, the fool does not even recognize that the reason they had those dams in the North is more political than anything. He forgets the River Niger flows to the South and the dam could well have been built after the confluence with River Benue; as after the confluence the flow would be stronger than the present location at Kainji. Maybe if the dam was built after the confluence (point where River Benue forms a tributary with River Niger), we would not be recording as much seasonal power fluctuations as the Niger surges and ebbs during the Rainy Season and Dry Season respectively.
I didn't miss it. You are probably a layman in finance, so you won't understand the concept of the discounted cash flow that I said you should do. Simply, what I suggested to you is to estimate all future cash/earnings accruable to the FG for the next 5, 10, 20 yrs and determine how much those earnings would be worth today. Then compare the figure to how much those projects would cost today and you will see the gap that the loan should fund. Even if you scatter funding as you suggested, the funds available yearly would not extinguish all yearly demand for infrastructural spending.
Dude even if I am not into financial matters you can hardly bamboozle me with financial clap-trap. Every person with enough savvy in Math knows when you speak of forecasts/extrapolations you need a model. So what model are you going to use? You can provide us with one. For instance, will your model accurately predict whether or not our revenue from oil will increase or decrease; and accurately cater for all price flunctuations (meaning your model can even predict factors such as wars, strikes, disasters, etc)? How do you even model that over 5 years talk less of 20? Or maybe like madam just pull figures out of thin air?
How was she exposed precisely? And by who? Those legislators who do not know their rights from their left? How many of them were accomplished finance experts before they got to NASS?

Who told you the west needs our money? Nigeria does not even make what Apple as a company makes in a year and you are here deceiving yourself that the west needs our savings to grow. You are one of those who will not get over all the nonsense conspiracies tagged "western dictation" or "IMF"!
Apparently you didn't watch the probe panel or you suffer from selective amnesia. Either way, it took ignorant folks from NASS to question your Madam to admit (live on TV) that she didn't know what she was talking about or simply that she cooked up figures. And what does Apple (an American company) have to do with Europe? And even then don't we also in this same country have individuals capable of paying off our debts? So you might as well say because we have such billionaires, Nigeria is rich. What's your point again?
