REVIEW The movie has a corny "deeper meaning", as in they want to make you think it has a deeper meaning than the female empowerment/feminism stuff, but a part of me calls bs on it. Straight-up. It has no deeper meaning. Perhaps those who over think things will interprete the Barbies (ladies) as the men in our world: as in that if women take power, they'll come to realize that they haven't been in power because they weren't just meant for stuff like that, finding themselves, etc. But last last It's just a mid movie (story-wise), I would have given it 6/10 if not for all those actors they loaded in it, so hard 7/10—more like 6.9/10. The dialog is OK, but there were some parts where I cringed so hard that I felt like "just look and the camera and talk to me directly already so I'll know you wanna pass a message" lol. As for the setting, there were parts of the movie that seemed and looked like a Wes Anderson movie, like the scenes with the Mattel bosses: They were good. The movie is so mid that I'm beginning to think all that craxy marketing was so they'll make sure they'll be able to recoup their money after subtracting the millions they had to pay the actors. Lol. Not like you'll regret downloading sha, but not like it's a keeper either. For me it's definitely not like those kind of movies I keep watching and watching and rewatching. Good luck anyways. |

Human beings hare scarily disconnected from water. Take swimming for example, dog, rat, etc., can naturally swim, even cats that hate water like mad can swim, but humans? No! In fact, I cannot mention anything I fear more than water bodies—especially large ones. Actually, anything larger than a stream. It's almost like humans were built to be confined on land, and stay away from water! With "global warming" and every other thing that threaten our existence on land, we still rather spend billions of dollars exploring other stellar bodies and space instead of exploring what's beneath us, thinking of how to populate the seas and oceans. Facebook and Twitter, etc., are one of those companies that flourished so much, got over their heads and killed every other competition. Their greed made them monitor their users (especially Facebook) bumper to bumper, understanding their behavioural pattern and tailoring their services in ways to get the users pathetically addicted. Take a look at Telegram for example, an app 100x times more awesome (perhaps subjectively) than WhatsApp for example can't even really compete in the areas that matter the most. The likes of Facebook have made the normies too attached, and consequently, every other product that ventures in that direction fails. People are too lazy to get 'used' to other stuff. Their entire friends and family wouldn't be on it anyways, so why bother even if you like the new product? During the two weeks of Threads hype, I told my friends that I'm giving Threads 2 weeks at most to crash 90% in usage, and guess what? 2 weeks later the amount of activity/active users crashed over 80%. If you're a programmer like myself, and have attempted to create a service with even 20% similarity to the current "social" media, you'll understand better. It's great that they're finally having a taste of their own sh*t. Lol Bluesky will fail; Threads will fail. I used to read everything readable about these things especially on /x/ I've lost hope. Just to imagine that I rely on NASA for example to tell me what Mars looks like! What if they deliberately show me fake photos? What if they've been lying?! Same thing with history. I was never there, and I can never know what truly happened. Hell, even the north and south pole specifically, I'm not rich enough to sponsor my trip there, and even if I was rich enough, I hear it's prohibited, and I'll LITERALLY be shot down. On the Artic, all superpower countries have mutual understanding and abnormal interest in that place even thought they're always fighting in other affairs. These people are heavily armed and only scientist of the highest security clearance work there. You'll be literally shot down if you attempt to get any close. I was watching live, and I couldn't help but get disgusted by how the Senate and their President (especially) evaded screening certain people, Sen. Abubakar Kyari for example wasn't screened, and the reason given by our Sanate president was that he has served as a senator and a Rep, and is a member of the ruling party, therefore he has the capacity. This is a nominee that I'm sure will stammer if I ask him a question o. Lol. What a joke of a country I wonder how being a mere politician automatically give you the experience to handle things you're definitely no Familiar with.
