Disregard anything those plebeians tell you. They are part of the problem you face today!

A few hours ago, I saw the Nairaland Latest Poll (https://www.nairaland.com/7579371/2023-nairaland-latest-poll-atiku)

Shortly after, I saw another post on the front page (someone's opinion) with data as to why online polls do not matter (https://www.nairaland.com/7580110/opinion-online-polls-dont-matter).

I don't know if I'm the only person old enough on this forum to recall how Nigerians' votes have been divided along ethnic and religious lines since time immemorial. The data here (https://www.nairaland.com/7580110/opinion-online-polls-dont-matter) since 2019 showed Atiku with over 3000 votes, and Buhari with under 1000 votes—Sowore even did better than Buhari here. Wow.

May I remind you all to do a deeper analysis of the major candidates. I mean, 3 Muslims against 1 Christian (who happens to be a big name as well), while factoring in our well known behaviour along religious lines during elections.

In 2019, we had only 2 major candidates (of whom both of them were Muslims), this scenario weakened Nigerians' tendency to vote along religious and geopolitical lines. However, that's no longer the case for 2023.

To go straight to the point (the title of this thread) :

1. Why would this election be different?
Ans: we have 3 Muslims against 1 Christian (despite coming from a full 8-year Muslim rule)

2. How and why do the poll matter?
Ans: The nature of the 2019 polls was greatly based on Nigerians choosing between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea (yes, it's a fact). I remember participating in quite a number if those polls myself. I just couldn't resist the urge to at least participate (not just me, many others as well). My dilemma became worse on the day of election. It became clear to me that one of those two (Buhari and Atiku) would emerge victorious due to the little publicity/popularity the other other candidates had compared to the big names! And worse of all is that I, and non of my family really like Buhari nor Atiku (Note: I'm not Igbo. Far from that)

This time will be different because it's more than the average Nigerian election: it's about seeing that fairness to the very diversity that unites us in Nigeria is upheld; and best of all, WE HAVE OPTIONS. It's no longer the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea for me and many others! We're not voting anybody OUT this time, there's someone to vote IN!

1. About sperms manufactured from "thin air", this is how I know that you weren't even learning anything I was teaching. If not you should have seen where I hinted at PCG (Primordial Germ Cell) of which your "sperms" are generated from. It's a simple process of Mitosis and Meiosis (methods of cell divisions)

It's not from thin air, my little friend, its a process known as spermiogenesis/spermatogenesis.

SPERMATOGENESIS:
This is the process of formation of spermatozoa from primordial germ cells
(aka PGCs or spemmatogonia present in the walls of the seminiferous tubules of the testis).

Now, these PCGs remain dormant in the seminiferous tubules of testes untill puberty. That's why boys do not ejaculate "sperms" pre puberty. It's at puberty that the PCGs undergo series of divisions to form what is known as Spermatogonia. And this is the process that leads to that your semen you see splurging out of your dic, outlined in simple terms:

1. The PGCs divide mitotically to form "dark type A Spermatogonia". Each of these two new pairs act as "stem cells".

2. The dark type A Spermatogonium then undergoes mitosis to form one dark A spermatogonium and another "Light type A Spermatogonium".

Now pay attention:
The dark type A spermatogonia are kept in reserve for repetition of the whole divisive process over and over again. This repetition is infinite because after splitting each time, one pair is always reserved for future splittings in a continuous chain. It's only one pair that proceeds to form the sperm cell you ejaculate. And they do it in very large numbers...as in at least a hundred million of these cells per ejaculate.

So, my friend, there you have it. That's how sperm is generated, and that the mechanism that makes it infinite. But let me dumb it down again for you: imagine you can divide into 2 to form two identical persons. You are in this room, each time you divide, only one of you goes out, the other remains inside and divides again sending just one outside again, and so on and so forth. Shae you understand now? Lol.

Now in the early stage, when the cells begin transforming into something else, if you notice it, then there are a lot of stuff that can remedy it. Locals and Europeans are WELL AWARE of these remedies. However, when your cancer has spread uncontrolled, at that point your Soursop would be more useless than even the most useless European medicine you can think of.

If you work in a reasonable hospital (and in a related ward), you should have a good idea of the number of cancer patients Nigeria has. This number is even higher than the published number. Up to the point of Scary. There's just so little awareness! I see these patients, they usually return to the hospital after going up and down for "traditional" techniques to no avail. Why do they come back to hospitals? It's because traditional medicine will 100% fail you in a case like chronic cancer —which is the same thing European medicine is battling. And guess what? "European medicine" WILL likely be the first to formulate a cure because they're the ones actually putting efforts in research in that area!

You guys just overate traditional stuff because you might have little to no exposure to the people that actually have these diseases. Cancer is too popular, and way too much of a problem to be 100% cured even in the most remote part of the world without the whole world knowing about the technique (and testing it!)

Naija dey try, however, we no even reach places like India and China. China has had centuries upon centuries of traditional medicine, in fact, go to China and see, unlike Nigeria, traditional medicine is mainstream there and almost 50-50 with Western medicine. Yes, they co-exist. Go to 5 random hospitals with modern buildings in China, and at least 2 will be 100% traditional! And guess what? No cure for chronic cancer yet in China.

Early cancerous growth is not a problem when detected early, western or traditional medicine will kill it. The only problem is that your traditional medicine is not even sophisticated enough to detect cancerous growth. So, it's still thanks to Western medicines in the end.

I have something to say. I've been in medical school for 4 years now (and I've been through normal B.Sc)

Generally, people's arguments about masturbation is usually based on addiction, spirituality, and weakness.

In just your first year in medical school, you get to learn a lot about the male and female gonads and reproductive organs. I'm going to use layman terms here, don't worry.

First, it's important to note what happens to your body when you masturbate. What happens? Well, you stimulate your peni.s up to the point where the feedback is enough for your brain to fire some oxytocin during ejaculation. Ejaculation is when you release "sperm." The oxytocin and contractions are responsible for the sweetness, it also makes contractions pushing the semen painless. For females, after sperm has been deposited in them, their uterine endometrium also undergoes contractions to aid sperm movement/movement of eggs to the ampullary region where fertilisation/ovulation actually occurs. During giving birth, contractions and expansion of the "vagina" are aided by mind-blowing releases of oxytocin which results in the most powerful orgasm a woman can ever achieve. If not for sweet oxytocin, men wouldn't have masturbated/had sex. I mean, look how sweaty, gross, and energy consuming things get at times during love making! Lol. Women would also prefer to just die instead of giving birth if not for oxytocin as well. The pain will kill them before they even make a choice. Lol. There are people that feel the need to relieve their sexual tension to be productive. If they don't, all they'll think of is sex, sex, sex, sex and sex, then sex, and then sex again.
