jmoore: Logic boy needs to grow up. The price of the curtain used can purchase 2 private jets? You have never left Nigeria have you? I am going to look for the pics of the curtains. They are rare works of arts with murals of kings drawn on them. They are rare. Bush man |
PAGAN 9JA:What do you think about Wicca? Female Wiccans are crazy about sex! Dont know about their paganism but I'm gussing there something about fertility and mother nature there. I'm content withmy atheism |
musKeeto: Really interesting story.. but why does the story feel incomplete? What? Why do you want to know more about my life? |
azpekuliar: So true about the church, from the pics. Top finishing in the interior. Would have loved you investigated more about what our naija brothers are up to there, maybe even board the bus alongside the oldies just to satisfy your curiousity.I know Malta has always been a popular first port of call for Naija pro-footballers hoping to make a career in Europe.Yes, even a maltese guy was asking me to play football for his team because he knows how good Nigerian footballers are. Anyways, those Naija guys were up to no good. Just old people that they were packing in their church bus |
italo: 1) Spiritual beings do not exist. Calling God a spiritual being does not make him any more real than a tooth fairyWow,the ignorance is strong with this one. I rest my case, lord knows I tried ![]() |
oluface: And whats ur point boi?And whats your challenge man? Cant you read and comprehend? |
PAGAN 9JA:64% do not believe in God and so I doubt that question is real. Buddha is not a god also. As for you, I wish not to argue with you. I am actuallay happy that you're a pagan. At least you follow your people's tradition/religion unlike the brainwashed Nigerians Christians and Muslims |
azpekuliar: Where are the pictures?Posted them. They didnt show at first |
I spent 5 days in Malta earlier this year and it was cool. However, trust religion to spoil some parts of the trip. Mlata is a small sleepy island in Europe which is very peaceful and a great summer destination When I got to Malta, for the first 3 days, I did not see more than 2 black people. Come sunday morning, I started hearing pidgin English from my hotel room in my sleep. When I woke up and went to the balcony, I saw 4 Nigerian brothers chatting away holding bibles. There were two other Nigerian sisters at the opposite side of the street from the Nigerian brothers. These guys looked hungry, even though they were dressed neatly for church. There were even ironically talking about "runs". Then after some minutes, old white men and women were entering their church bus. Apparently, the Nigerian dudes were hoarding these old people to their church. The sight alone sickened and saddened me. What kind of nonsense is this? We dont see our Nigerians doing something good in the city centres in Malta. What we see is them carrying old people who are vulnerable to the church where they can be robbed through tithing and offering. If the Nigerians were honest, why where they speaking about runs in pidgin english and not in english? The other thing that shocked me was the church of st John in Valleta. The church is worth billions of Euros and was built in the medieval times. The church will amaze you and keep you in awe. The architecture and paintings in the church are marvellous. Even the floor is art. The ceiling is also made of art an gold. The church is actually a museum on weekdays. Keep in mind that this church was built in a time in europe when peasants could die of starvation or hunger. Billions were spent on a church. Even the curtains in the church will buy Oyedepo's private jet twice! Here are pictures of the church from my holiday https://a8.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/426072_10150623988252909_733132908_9211935_1797278610_n.jpg https://a2.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/419011_10150623990917909_733132908_9211941_1384735936_n.jpg https://a4.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/425860_10150623993652909_733132908_9211956_1593783001_n.jpg |
PAGAN 9JA:1) Did you read the full sentence? "Figures that state 84% to 96% of Japanese adhere to Shinto and Buddhism are not based on self-identification but come primarily from birth records, following a longstanding practice of officially associating a family line with a local Buddhist temple or Shinto shrine" Does that mean that they follow the religion or associate it with family tradition? Did you also ignore the following sentences after the one you quoted out of context; 84% of the Japanese claim no personal religion. In census questionnaires, less than 15 percent reported any formal religious affiliation by 2000.[9] And according to Demerath (2001:138), 64% do not believe in God, and 55% do not believe in Buddha.[10] According to Edwin Reischauer, and Marius Jansen, some 70 to 80 percent of the Japanese regularly tell pollsters they do not consider themselves believers in any religion.[1] Japanese streets are decorated on Tanabata, Obon and Christmas. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Religion_in_Japan 2) I caught you lying because no Japanese person would ever tell you that Japan is religious. Unless he/she is lying to you |
alexleo: The totality of your all your reasons remains that you people are too lazy to prove God in your lives as individuals. You people easily quote scientists and their discoveries yet too lazy to make your own discovery. Too much talk talk and laziness dey worry una.Wow, the support of slavery in the bible? Did you ignore that? The support of genocide in the bible as well. |
PAGAN 9JA:You dont have Japanese friends and it is clear. Sorry. Any Japanese person will tell you that many japanese do not believe in God. Unlike you, I had a Japanese girlfriend. As for my statistics. 84% of Japanese do not even have a personal religion. 64% do not believe in god http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Religion_in_Japan |
PAGAN 9JA:Religious or traditional? Religion or culture? 64% of Japanese clearly state that there is no God. |
Tbaba does not surprise me, he hides behind soft translations of the Koran. Thanks for exposing him....see how he ran away |
toba: stop this cos it wouldnt work with me on this thread. The topic is centred on extracting the similarities between the two beliefs, that we ve done already. Review the thread and u'll see failed attempts by atheists that are older than u, that their attempts ended in futility No one is disputing how u became an atheist. My response was in English and unambiguous. Reading about evolution from the internet or in the papers may or may not have shapened ur belief. true of falseWrong, evolution did not have much effect on my atheism. I knew that there wasnt a god because there was no evidence for him. None. No god would have allowed the fate of slavery on anyone. Do you what it is to be the property of someone or to be castrated like an animal? Evolution is not that important when you realise that many people were raised as atheists in Japan. Your evolution had nothing to do with their atheism. There are uneducated people that are atheists just because they were raised as atheists and they see no need for a god. As for the meanings of faith, you are talking nonsense again. There is a difference in being faithful person and having faith in something. We all know what faith means. If you take the first definition, then you are saying that believing that your egg will boil if kept in boiling water on gas is faith. How illogical |
Joagbaje: how much study have you made on spirits. To understand or disprove their existence. Have you ever thought of the chances of being wrong? . Supposing. . . Just supposing you're wrong.Name one demonic sickeness? |
toba: does the first apply to atheists and atheism? if the first applys to them, then the 2nd might apply to some God believersI became an atheist because of slavery. The christian support of slavery. Evolution came after As for faith, you are deceitfully using two definitions. Use one to explain what you are trying to say |
musKeeto: Sorry I didn't see that coming like T.B Joshua. It's okay as long as you pay your tithes like Joagbaje! |
Joagbaje: You must be under JuJucilogenYou mad? Omo, Laugh wan kill me die! I didnt know you could be funny at times!! Nice reply! ![]() But being serious, there is no spiritual death. r you could say that I am spiritually dead as an atheist because I dont believe in spirits! |
toba: welcome on board and let's see how far u can gofaith/fāTH/ Noun: 1)Complete trust or confidence in someone or something. 2)Strong belief in God or in the doctrines of a religion, based on spiritual apprehension rather than proof How does that apply to atheists? toba: how did u get to know about evolution?Internet eg wikipedia and youtube |
oluface: Man Muslim must accept jesus as messanger of God and not his son or trinity.. Do yell at jesus please... God sent him for real but he is a muslim.. One love my brotherJesus is not a muslim. Jesus lived and died at time when there were no Arabs or muslims in Jerusalem or Rome |
While the intent of this video was okay, the problem is with the text. The text is quite racist!!!!! "pink-white demons Yes, we were enslaved and colonized but you dont call white people "pink-white demons". However, it is sad that Africans are not ready to talk about slavery and colonization that destroyed the West African continent |
musKeeto: TITHESDont let me Oyedepo-slap you from here! You forgot to add "Oyedepo slaps" ![]() |
oluface: pHd for Real..No, its not HIV, it's diarrhea of the mouth. Chrisians just talk rubbish when they hear the name of their beloved Jesus |
komole: You weren't obliged to type you know? Then you should have stuck to Arabic if you dont understand English. My comment was clearly written. Stop ignoring the truth. |
Joagbaje: and what about the 75% who had died in the hands of doctors because the problem was spiritual.Spiritual death? What killed them? Juju? You must be on some good hallucinogen! |
toba: thats not true. U can loose faith anyhow. eg if u lost ur loved ones, if u spend too much time on NL, reading the posts of the atheist lOlSo you enjoy atheists posts, eh? ![]() |
Mr_Anony: I have had a look at your post but I must confess I haven't taken the time to read through it yet. You will eventually hear my thoughts (maybe not as soon as you might expect) but first what I am more interested in is whether you will be willing to discuss with an open mind and accept the possibility that you just might be mistaken and also that I do not have all the answers answers as well. If you agree to these terms then we can have dialogue otherwise our discourse will be futile as each of will stubbornly hold onto our ego and not make any progress. Do you agree? You have no idea what it is to be a hardcore catholic. I never missed sunday mass for years. To question if I was a christian is quite insulting especially if you are not a catholic. I'm an atheist now and no going back. |
vedaxcool: Load of rubbish! Thanks for validating all I said about you, perhaps if you could notice all u said DID NOT address what I wrote.Validating what?? I explained to you why sometimes my comments seem full of anger. I also told you that I am not a rebel. Yet, you say that I didnt address your comment Or could it be that you're ashamed because I told the truth about your slave religion? Yes |
The real reasons; 1) Slavery 2) Evolution + science 3) Inconsistencies and evil in the bible (eg Homophobia, bigotry, genocide etc) 4) Constant failures + brutality of theocracies around the world 5) Fear of Oyedepo's slaps! |
lol....I have a local name but as a catholic, I had to be baptized under a saint's name. Phillip |
vedaxcool: Lol.You want to talk about character? 1) You call yourself muslim, yet you insult like a football hooligan. Where is your morality that mslims/Islam boast about? 2) I prefer Africans to believe in African Gods rather than foreign Muslim and Christian Gods. Islam too came with slavery to Nigeria. Did you forget that? Is slavery Haraam in Islam? No. Not haraam. Slavery is regulated by the Koran. t even tells you about sex with female slaves. Notice the sexism here; why is sex with males slaves not addressed? 3) I am not a rebel.I am an atheist 4) Yes, I get frustrated at the stupidity of my brethren. I am Nigerian and I weep for my country. I live in near-paradise in UK, while my brethren in Nigeria hunger. More than half of Nigeria is in poverty and we are building churches and mosques anyhow. The UK has its problems but at least, they try to tackle it. There is poverty and unemployment but it is difficult for our senate to pass minimum wage bills they must fight for months before even making any step. However, when it came to gay rights, the quickly and unanimously made an anit-gay rights law, imprisoning any gay person or supporter for 14 years |
