2) All animals have a universal common ancestor. We came from single celled organisms. Repeated speciation and anagenisis created the diversity of life we have here. Scientists, unlike religious folks, do not claim that they know everything. Scientists do not know the exact method of how these single celled orgamisms appeared (There are ideas on that). However, we know that we came from single celled organisms from shared sets of biochemical and morphological traits (DNA) between animals. The closer the species or common ancestor, the more similar the traits are between animals. It simply means that the diversity in traits like dna become less similar as go back in time between different species to a basic single celled organism.

2) I have never read the God delusion and so have many atheists in Japan. There are no holy books in atheism. The last time I read a science book was 4 years ago in university. Everybody reads newspapers or at least, the news.

You talk about racism but let's be honest, I have recieved racism from whites, Asians, Arabs etc. However, today, the most racist thing that has happened to me is by my own Nigerian brethren. In the UK today, no white/asian/black man will slap me for questioning his authority in a calm manner. The basic fact remains that we can all describe very well a nightmare that has haunted us and scientist can tell what part of sleep that we are likely to dream in. There are 3 issues here for me;
1) 100,000 dollars can feed many people. A very high percentage of Iranians live under the poverty line. Why waste money on killing a musician who deosnt even live in Iran?

However, this changes as the group becomes more familiar with each other. The people in the group try to help and support each other out of their problems. The only pride in group therapy is the pride that you have friends willing to help.

2) She is talking as if it is easy to overcome oppression or certain problems in life that leaves you angry at the world. She hasnt met girls that have been brutally molested by their fathers or people who have lost both their families and houses. Feeling sorry for yourself in such situations is necessary, depression has to be treated with care and support.

The British people who brought christianity to Nigeria are not even as christian as Nigeria. Britain is a secular country with about 20% atheists. The have separation of church and state. They also have a society that always looks to solve the problems they have. There is discussion on how to tackle problems like unemployment and govt excesses.

In Nigeria, the senators who are either christians or muslims quickly passed an anti-homosexual bill to imprison gays for 14 years but failed to pass a bill on minimum wage.

Why would you say that I follow evolution on a basis of faith on whatever scientists say? There are enough scientific journals and discussions on the internet about speciation. Science works with proof, facts, calaculations and observations. I read and educated myself. There are enough materials on the internet to learn from. -No lectures on history concerning slavery in secondary school classes

-No science mesuems that would have fossils on evolution
-Erosion of our culture. Our local sculptures are called idols while crosses are called holy. We forget that we were never a christian country in history.


You will say that teaching evolution and history to kids are not important but you should look at how chinese, Japanese and European kids are developing. The kids learn lot of information when they are young and grow up to be intelligent world leaders.

What about history? Look at American Jews and Americans in general. The Jews always remember the history of the holocaust. They dont allow anyone to insult them. They have holocaust denial laws. They appreciate their history. How many Jewish catholics do you know? Do you realise that the catholic church supported Hitler.
What does a black Nigerian like you do? He rushes to the religion that enslaved his ancestors and doesnt teach his children the history of what christainity has done to harm their country. The Nigerians who think like you forget to educate their children on the support for slavery that exists in the bible.
