I'm not entirely with him on the aspect of completely 're-defining' and 're-interpreting' scripture to fit our modern times. Just because a belief is 'old' doesn't mean it should be thrown away. But I understand the point behind it - to evolve, and to let our beliefs and behaviors evolve to be more loving towards people who don't believe as we do.
