Deep Sight: @ Logicboy, it seems to me you simply dont have the patience to read the links which Pastor AIO placed up there for you. As one who has gone to extensive lengths to understand him, I can relate with your frustrations. I do however recommend that you look up those links. But just as a guide for you, let me tell you a few things straight up -

1. The word "Pastor" in his username has nothing to do with what you might think

2. If by the word "christian" you refer to one who believes in biblical infallibility and the motions and forms of the religion, count him out. This chap has on many occassions argued ardently against things which people cite in the Bible, including the ontology of the Judaic god(s). Substance weighs over form for him.

3. If by the word "christian" you refer to one who subcribes to the teachings of christ and seeks to emulate christ, yes he would call himself Christian.

Generally, you need to slow down. This chap is a hydra-headed monster of "staggering" (wink, Pastor) brilliance, knowledge, humour and complexity. It might take sometime to come to some faint grips with him. All I can tell you is DO NOT make assumptions regarding him at all!

I recall noetic even branded him deist, although he is anything but. Although I understand why noetic said that.

I might not understand PastorAIO but I sure know something important about you. You are an empty shell of a human being that needs to be subservient to another being before feeling any self worth in life.

If PastorAOI is too lazy or proud to explain his belief to me directly, then he should be ready to shoulder the burden of the consequences. He shouldnt need you or links to defend his beliefs.

You also believe in correcting wrongs in society and yet you do not say what your basis for judging between right and wrong is. Is your judgement based on these "new facts" of yours? why should we trust your sermon? How can you say you are a "good person" when you don't define what is good and what is not

- I said new facts. New facts do not always need to contradict the old ones. Sometimes, they explain the old ones.
- Right or wrong should be judged based on correct information or facts. That is the simple basis. Right or wrong should not be based on illogical thinking. The bible is not fact or evidence based.
-I never preached any sermon. I only try to correct non-factual statements. Sermons are for religious dummies
-I said I was good based on societal standards (which is different point from the 3 above). You clearly ignored that and went to ask about me defining "good and bad".

Mr_Anony: (b)If every religion is "divisive and oppressive". can the same not be applied to every government and every nation? shouldn't we - according to your argument - correct some notions about criminals to avoid them being "demonized"? by the way, religion is a choice, citizenship isn't.

- By comparing religion to government, you are showing the failure that religion is because governments all realize that they are not perfect and are ever changing. Every government is corrupt and very new regime tries to improve the last.

-Atheism is not a religion. There is nothing to sell. Atheists do not have a code of conduct or a guideline to follow. There is nothing to sell.

oiseworld: christianly, they are both unbelievers who need salvation, but humanly looking, all other religions breed freely where christianity is, etheist included. But islam can not tolorate any other form of believe. Islam or die. So i would say christians trust etheist more.

-as a liberal/progressive, I believe in the necessity of changing one's view when new facts come out that dont support the said views. Progress.
-as a good person by societal standards, it is one's duty to correct a wrong in society.

b) Survival
-Every atheist knows that religion is divisive and oppressive. Correcting some notions about unbelievers by religion is necessary to avoid being demonized
