PoliticsRe: Nigerian Military Sentences 54 Soldiers To Death For Mutiny by LogicPower(m): 12:18am On Dec 18, 2014
All these sentences and other severe punishments being meted out to the Nigerian soldiers would have made more sense to Nigerians, and even some members of the international community, if the convicted soldiers had been provided with the RIGHT AND ADEQUATE MODERN ARMS AND AMMUNITION to face the well-armed BH insurgents but they just decided not to, out of sheer insubordination and mutinous tendencies.

But we ALL know that this is not the case; most of these brave young men and women would readily take the fight to the BH terrorists up to their Sambisa hiding place, IF only they could be provided with THE RIGHT AND ADEQUATE weapons and other equipment, but unfortunately they were not.

And this is why Nigerians generally would always sympathize with the mutinous soldiers, even though they do not condone the act of mutiny itself. And that is why these death sentences are likely to be generally condemned, both at home and abroad.

Unless you are very young or a poor student of history, or both, you should know that in democracy POWER lies with the PEOPLE.

If you must be told, history is replete with so many examples of far more powerful leaders, with far greater and firmer control over larger and more brutal armed forces at their disposal than JEG, yet when their respective peoples wanted a change, they FORCED them out, in some cases through the ballot boxes and in others through a display of SHEER PEOPLE POWER!

Those bandits have the money....the weapons and the wherewithal to run this country aground.....the President has ensured that.
Exactly.

The president has been covertly and overtly empowering his militant Ijaw kinsmen for so long and with incredible money and all sorts of strategic and logistic wherewithal to inflict severe damage to this country in the event of a conflict with them.

At the same time, he systematically allows the north to be destroyed, and the moral and fighting capabilities of the Nigerian military to be so severely and irreparably damaged.

All the above is part of a well-calculated plan geared towards preparations to plunge the country into chaos as a vengeful punishment of the 'ungrateful' non-oil-producing 'parasites', if they dare not re-elect the clueless.

OP, there are pastors, and there are pastors!

For the intelligent, objective and fair-minded observers, these two pastors, Bakare and Osibanjo, are not ordinary pastors!
In terms of PERSONAL INTEGRITY, MORAL CLARITY, INTELLECTUAL ACCOMPLISHMENTS, STRONG AND WELL-KNOWN STANCE AGAINST PUBLIC CORRUPTION, these two pastors stand head and shoulders above most of their peers!

So it is not surprising that Buhari, who is also well-known for his personal integrity and anti-corruption antecedents, would like to pick any of these two highly respected gentlemen as his VP, and each one of them would make a perfect VP and successor to him.

In the same vein, GEJ and Sambo are a perfect match - of the clueless, I-don't-give-a-damn, stealing-is-not-corruption type!

How old are you, OP?

I ask you this question because if you are old and enlightened enough to know the regimes of Buhari and IBB, you would have known that the former was motivated by strong patriotism and passionate drive to root out corruption and establish an egalitarian, pro-people society, while the latter was motivated by sheer personal greed, insatiable lust for power as a means of perpetuating corruption, and an unpatriotic subservience to foreign capitalist interests.

Because Nigerians know fully well the differences between the two former military leaders, Buhari can today contest election under ANY political party and get MILLIONS of votes.

On the other hand, IBB CANNOT even dare to present himself to Nigerians today in any election, simply because he knows he would be badly humiliated, as the vast majority of Nigerians, including his fellow Northerners, see him as EVIL PERSONIFIED and, as such, would not touch him even with a long pole!

That you have the new Maritime UNIVERSITY OF Nigeria in Tompolo's Camp 5 ( headquarter of his militancy) now hosting a FG owned maritime institution in that same location should tell people the kind of person heading NIMASA and the kind of shenanigans going on there.
The Maritime university was taken to camp 5 by akpobolokemi on the orders of Tompolo yet location is only reachable spending 2hours on the high sea yet a glorified Maritime Academy of Nigeria existed in Oron for 35years running that was not upgraded but Tompolo was given his Maritime University to satisfy his personal ego. Only God knows what the oron people do their brother's in the south south.

The 5th floor of the NIMASA HQ is called the IJAW FLOOR for no other reason than Tompolo insistence that only favoured ijaws get patronage from the organisation.

JonaTAN and his crooks of economic thieves need to be sent away next year before this country can move forward.

Imagine a DG defending the undefendable.
It tells a lot more than that; it tells how Jonathan has sold the country to some bandits from the creeks who now have so much money, weapons, strategic government institutions under their control that everyone should be VERY SCARED.

And I think by the time the rest of Nigerians realize what is really happening now, it would be TOO LATE! Nigerians would then realize, belatedly, that OBJ did not write his long letter for nothing; he alerted the nation because he kwew THERE WAS A REAL CAUSE FOR ALARM!

4. You guys, without any shame, have been repeating this contemptible FALSEHOOD that Buhari only punished southerners who broke the law under his military regime and spared the northerners who broke the same law. All those who are old, enlightened and honest enough to know would be disgusted at this your malicious lies!

For the benefits of all decent young men and women who have CONSCIENCE AND SEEK TO KNOW THE TRUTH, let me give you just a few examples to debunk these false accusations against Buhari that are being repeated over and over by desperate, morally bankrupt GEJ supporters who choose to mortgage their conscience for pea-nuts:

1. The late Alhaji Umar Dikko, a scion of the powerful Northern Haua-Fulani oligarchy and arguably the most influential minister in the deposed Shagari administration, had to flee the country to avoid facing trial under the Buhari-led military regime. Buhari was so determined to get Dikko tried for the allegations of massive corruption against him that some secret security agents of the Nigerian government were sent to track him down in his UK hiding place, literally 'boxed' him, and almost succeeded in repatriating him to Nigeria to face justice.

2. Shiekh Isyaku Rabi'u, arguably one of the RICHEST EVER northerners, and one of the MOST highly respected scholars of Tijanniyah Islamic sect in West Africa, was not only arrested and detained during the Buhari regime, but it was reported that his leg was even broken in the process of his arrest, apparently when his teeming supporters attempted to shield him from being arrested.

3. Sheikh Isyaku Rabiu was detailed along with the late Haruna Danja of Kaduna, another powerful super-rich northerner, and many other multi-billonnaires in the North, due to allegations of their involvement in some anti-economic activities, such as hoarding of essential commodities, mis-use of import licenses, etc.

4. The late Abubakar Rimi, a former governor of Kano, was indisputably one of the MOST POPULAR, MOST PROGRESSIVE, MOST CHARISTMATIC AND MOST PERFORMING governors during the Shagari administration, but when he was tried by a special military tribunal and found guilty of some corruption charges, HE WAS SENTENCED AND SENT TO THE BENIN (?) prison.

5. Rimi's political rival and successor, the late Sabo Bakinzuwa, was equally found guilty by the military tribunal and SENT TO THE SAME JAIL as Rimi, were THEY SHARED prison cells and EVENTUALLY RECONCILED IN THE PRISON and became friends again.

6. Almost ALL the other northern governors under Shagari (including Abba Musa Rimi, Lawal Kaita, Tatari Ali, and others) were also detained and made to serve their LONG PRISON TERMS in SOUTHERN PRISONS, just as southern governors that were convicted were made to serve their terms in Northern prisons.

7. The late emir of Kano, Alhaji Ado Bayero, who was found guilty of contravening a diplomatic travel restriction, was banned from traveling abroad (for 3 months); Buhari slammed THE SAME ban on all the 3 erring paramount traditional rulers of WAZOBIA origins, without sparing the northern Muslim Hausa-Fulani among them!

8. Like their southern counterparts, all the Northern politicians that were convicted and imprisoned during the Buhari regime WERE NEVER released until AFTER the overthrow of the Buhari government.

9. Today, you can hardly find a single member of the privileged Northern Nigerian elite who has not got AT LEAST one of his friends, relatives, in-laws or acquaintances that were jailed during the no-nonsense regime of Buhari.

10. In fact some of the members of the Northern elite hate Buhari today for being so bold and unsparing in prosecuting and jailing of some powerful Northerners that the "CLUELESS", "WEAK-HEARTED" and "SELFISH" (apologies to OBJ) cannot dare touch today!

Now, almost four years after the clueless got that overwhelming mandate to fight the corrupt Nigerian elite and reclaim our country from them, have we not all seen how he pardoned even some of the THE MOST CORRUPT among the Nigerian elite, rehabilitated them politically and allowed them more leverage to loot further, with even greater IMPUNITY?

Yes, it is true that Buhari also belongs to the past, but throughout human history there has always been A GLORIOUS past, and an INGLORIOUS past and even the political rivals of Buhari would admit that he is among the VERY FEW former Nigerian leaders and public office holders that are ALWAYS associated with the GLORIOUS past! Yar'Adua in his deathbed will never have chosen a Jonathan as his VP.
What a superb logical response!

Even if it's true that Buhari has allowed the APC national leaders to choose the VP for him, it is still expected that he would make the final decision on it.

And even if he would simply accept whatever the party decides, it would amount to UTTER HYPOCRISY for any PDP supporter to criticize Buhari's on that.

Have we not seen how the decision to choose BOTH the presidential candidates and their VPs in PDP has all along been made by some powerful individuals?

Was it not a clique of IBB and co who brought OBJ from prison, nominated him and selected his VP for him? And was it not OBJ that single-handedly nominated the sick Yar'adua and SELECTED the CLUELESS as his VP?

Did OBJ not reveal to us in his latest book how and why he juggled the names of another ND governor at the time with the name of the CLUELESS for sometime before he single-handedly decided to hand-pick the clueless, A DECISION HE AND THE REST OF THE COUNTRY NOW DEEPLY REGRET?

Some shameless and evil liars have been spewing malicious propaganda on this forum that when Buhari was head of state, he punished ONLY the 'southerners' who broke the law, while his 'northern brothers' who broke the same law were NEVER punished.

Here, the OP unwittingly debunks that despicable lie, by making it clear for the world to see that the people's general NEVER protected anybody who broke the law, and never differentiated between southern law-breakers and northern law-breakers.

Thus, even though the late Ado Bayero was one of the MOST HIGHLY revered emirs in the North, yet when the military government found that the 3 paramount traditional rulers (of WAZOBIA origins) violated a diplomatic restriction on traveling to Israel, the Buhari-led government imposed THE SAME PUNITIVE MEASURE on each of them.

Why was Ado Bayero NOT SPARED punishment, as revered as he was in the north, and as close as he was to the northern oligarchy?

The answer to above question is simple; unlike the Clueless-In-Chief who shields those who break for his various selfish reasons, Buhari NEVER spared anybody that is found wanting, even if the culprit is his kinsmen, as the attempted extradition of late Umar Dikko and this case involving the late Emier of Kano clearly prove!

A President who does not even have the nerve or the guts to call to order any of the numerous Jezebels that control him. He is the problem we have in our country today and until he resigns, is impeached or is voted out of power nothing will change and Nigeria will continue to go from bad to worse. That is what you get when you vote for a man who never wore shoes to school. May God deliver our country
This from-the-bottom-of-the heart description of the Clueless-In-Chief by FFK is so APT AND ACCURATE that the APC campaign strategists should adopt some parts of it VERBATIM and incorporate them in their campaign posters, bill-boards, radio and tv jingles, etc.

Yes, OP you are absolutely right; if you juxtapose this poignantly frank and honest assessment of GEJ by FFK with FFK's recent pathetic attempts to make the clueless look good, you cannot but conclude that FFK is a HYPOCRITE of the most despicable type!

To be CORRUPT and MORALLY BANCKRUPT is bad enough, and to add HYPOCRISY to it would make one a really CONTEMTIBLE character, and that is exactly what FFK is! .
PoliticsRe: Why Buhari Is Bad For The Country by LogicPower(m):
Many of those who voted for GEJ in 2011, a lot of whom are Christians like him, are now so disappointed with his performance that they regret ever voting for him. They see him as having simply squandered their massive goodwill for him and effectively dashed ALL THEIR HOPES for a better Nigeria.

Thousands of innocent people, men, women and children, Muslims and Christians, were killed, maimed or displaced, by the BH insurgency and the clueless DOES SEEM NOT GIVE A DAMN about it.

Yet the RUTHLESSLY SELF-CENTRED president who hardly ever gives care about the daily massacres of Northerners, Muslims and Christians, is always seen displaying so much depth, commitment, passion and focus in dealing with ANYTHING that has to do with his self-centred re-election bid; they would see him promptly and effectively mobilizing ALL GOVERNMENT RESOURCES and SECURITY PERSONNEL either to ensure his smooth campaigns or to scuttle the campaigns of his opponents!

Even in the SS/SE, this time around there will NOT be as much voting on religious sentiments as in 2011, simply because NIGERIANS are WISER today; we can all see that ONLY THE CORRUPT ELITE like FFK benefit from the woeful failure and incompetence of GEJ, as he is always ready to pardon them and even allow them to loot more, in return for their support for his self-centred re-election bid.

Two of the important factors that helped GEJ to win the 2011 presidential election were RELIGIOUS SENTIMENTS (as being flagrantly promoted here) AND THE PREVALENT DESIRE TO HAVE A NON-NORTHERN PRESIDENT.

Now, almost four years after we have a CHRISTIAN, NON-NORTHERN AND NON-HAUSA FULANI president, many of those who ACTUALLY VOTED for him in 2011 are today so disillusioned and disappointed with his performance that they regret ever voting for him. They see him as having simply squandered their massive goodwill for him and effectively dashed ALL THEIR HOPES for a better Nigeria.

In the NE and the MB for instance, you would be shocked to find that many CHRISTIANS who voted for GEJ because of sheer RELIGIOUS SENTIMENTS are now the MOST VOCAL CRITICS of his inept administration! They openly voice their shock and exasperation, just like their Muslim counterparts, at his shocking failure to even show any genuine concern and commitment to the security of their lives and properties, as they get slaughtered in their hundreds almost every day.

In fact, both the Muslim and Christian northerners would tell whoever cares to listen to them that THEY HAVE NEVER HAD IT SO BAD, as an estimated 3 millions of them are now reported to have been displaced as a result of the BH insurgency that started like a small fire but 'was deliberately allowed', as they suspect, to rage and consume the entire North!

Yet the RUTHLESSLY SELF-CENTRED president who hardly ever gives a damn about the daily massacres of Northerners, Muslims and Christians, is always seen displaying so much depth, commitment, passion and focus in dealing with ANYTHING that has to do with his self-centred re-election bid; they would see him promptly and effectively mobilizing ALL GOVERNMENT RESOURCES and SECURITY PERSONNEL either to ensure his smooth campaigns or to scuttle the campaigns of his opponents!

So FFK and all other shameless and morally bankrupt elite who still think they can use our RELIGIOUS DIVISION this time around to garner votes for the re-election of THE CLUELESS but SELFISH slowpoke would really be in for A BIG SHOCK!

Some questions for all the evil-minded who want to cynically use the deaths of these Nigerian to score some political points for the clueless:

1. Hasn't the Clueless-In-Chief set up a committee to investigate the post-election riots of 2011?

2. Did he not promise to make the findings of the committee public and deal with ANYONE found to have a hand in those riots?

3. So if you think Buhari has a hand in the deaths of those young Nigerians, why can't you simply publish for us here the part of the report of the investigation where he is OFFICIALLY INDICTED?

You supporters of the clueless we all know are MORE DESPERATE AND JITTERY NOW than ever before, following the emergence of Buhari as the APC candidate. But even then, you should have shown some DECENCY and RESPECT to the families of these young Nigerians who lost their lives in those unfortunate circumstances, by avoiding the temptation to use the deaths of their loved ones in this reprehensible and vile political propaganda.

If I were a relative of any one of those young corpers, I would hate ANYBODY who cynically and despicably politicizes their deaths as much as I would hate the evil mobs who killed them in such cold blood!.
PoliticsRe: 33 Reasons Why Southern Nigerians Are Fools - And The Northerners Are Not! By Ec by LogicPower(m):
This latest attempt to save the the Clueless-In-Chief from imminent defeat in the forth-coming election is so laughable!

1. Even if all the points you have raised are entirely true, that does NOT in any way change the fact that GEJ is a CLUELESS and INCOMPETENT leader.

2. You must take Nigerians to be fools, if you think that AT THIS POINT IN TIME you guys can simply, suddenly and conveniently LUMP US ALL into just 'SOUTHERNERS' and 'NORTHERNERS', and expect to get sympathy votes for the CLUELESS from his fellow 'southerners'!

3. Do you think we have forgotten how you guys have been viciously and maliciously SINGLING OUT certain sub-groups of 'southerners' and 'northerners' for your incessant abuse and all sorts of cruel taunting?

4. So the SW people are now your 'SOUTHERN' brothers, and the people of the Middle Belt are now just lumped as 'NORTHERNERS'?

5. Now that the reality of the VOTING POWER of each SUB-REGION has dawned on you, and the imminent electoral defeat of your clueless man is staring you in the face, you have suddenly jettisoned the 'SS/SE/MIDDLE BELT alliance' that you have been taunting the rest of Nigerians with?

6. If you must be told, the 'southerners' who feel GENUINELY disappointed and disillusioned by the WOEFUL FAILURE and GROSS INCOMPETENCE of the GEJ's administration are not unaware of many of the points you raised about the regional imbalances and the need to rectify them, but they believe that is NOT AN EXCUSE to allow a clueless, incompetent and self-centred leader to continue to inflict further damage to the polity!.
