PoliticsRe: Heavy Fighting In Bagana Kogi State by LogicPower(m):
IGBOSON1:
^^^So if it's not karma (who is a biatch by the way) then what is it!? You guys are living the dream nightmare of the 'one Nigeria' you spilt innocent blood and starved women and children (non-combatants) in their millions for, so i don't see how you can now turn around and blame the very people you visited this evil on -who are yet to receive any kind of apology/restitution for what they were put through- for not being sympathetic to your misfortune when you're partly the cause!

But if truth be told, Ndigbo have a culture that values and respects life, so whoever you may have met that was gloating at your plight must be the odd nutcase out there!
1. The problem with 'karma', the b:tch, is that it is LOGICALLY IMPOSSIBLE to determine where it EXACTLY begins, and where it would EXACTLY end! For example, if you say the innocent women and children of the MB and NE are being killed, maimed and displaced because of some wrongdoings committed by 'their fathers' (Gowon, Murtala, Danjuma, IBB, Mark, Husseini, Shuwa and others), then does it not logically follow to say, using the same line of argument, that the innocent women and children of Biafra were also killed, maimed and displaced because of some wrongdoings committed in the past by their Biafran 'fathers'?. So as you can see, the very idea of 'karma' is based on wobbly, uncritical, unscientific and illogical foundations.

2. If there were soldiers or officers from the Federal troops who deliberately killed innocent Biafran men, women and children during the civil war in cold-bold, and in circumstances where such killings were avoidable, then such soldiers and officers are COLD-BLOODED MURDERERS and THEY ALONE (not their innocent kinsmen or even biological children) should be punished both IN THIS WORLD and HEREAFTER, for their callous and heartless acts against innocent people!

3. Every decent human being should be outraged at the killing and maiming of innocent people, especially women and children, and it is good that you rightly dissociated yourself from those of your people who so openly celebrate and gloat at the killings of innocent people, simply because some kinsmen of those innocent victims were alleged to have committed some wrongdoings in the past.
PoliticsRe: Stick With The Incumbent President And Re-elect Him In 2015 Prof Wole Soyinka’s by LogicPower(m):
ProfCorruption:
The title of the article: Soyinka's ALLEGED Swipe at Buhari.

The first paragraph:

Comments and Questions: a recently advertised opinion should not be difficult to find. Where is a link to this Soyinka's opinion? And if the author of this piece was so sure, why did he employ a title bearing "ALLEGED"? Such an opinion does not exist. What Okey Ikechukwu is doing is appropriating a big man's name to advance his own narrow parochial interests.

Since Nairaland is PDP and PDP is Nairaland, it took a step further and put a categorical certainty on the title. "Stick with the incumbent and Re-elect him in 2015--Prof Wole Soyinka". Even the paid hack did not make such an assertion in his original worthless piece. But here we are, Nairaland is imposing an opinion that is not Soyinka's on him. Where did Soyinka call for re-election of Jonathan? Can Seun provide the source? This is not propaganda, it's a totally shameful, dishonest endeavor.

We know Nairaland is now worthless and a shadow of it old self, but how low can you guys really go?
Surely you are one of the FEW guys on NL with RAZOR-SHARP INTELLIGENCE!

This article is a clear example of THE WORST FORM OF IRRESPONSIBLE JOURNALISM. And by publishing it on itself website, ThisDay has proved, ONCE AGAIN, that it has now degenerated into the most unprofessional and worthless tabloids!

It would not take any INTELLIGENT mind more than a few seconds of glancing at the headline and reading into the first few lines of the article to discover the DESPICABLE and IGNOBLE deceit that you so well unmasked and highlighted.

But the SHAMELESS and DECEITFUL hireling who wrote the crappy article and the MORALLY BANKRUPT ThisDay editor who allowed it to be published on their website are fully aware that MANY of those who would read and comment on it would NOT be intelligent and discerning enough to uncover the deceit early enough, and some who would discover are those would just play along, as it serves their common agenda.

Any enlightened person would easily know that since the article was supposed to be based on what Soyinka purportedly said somewhere in the past, there is no way it could have been written without mentioning WHERE the original remark was made by WS, WHEN he made it and HOW EXACTLY he made it (with direct quotes).

But the SHAMELESS author deceitfully avoided ALL these important aspects of reference to a previous speaker, and as he and the equally shameless online ThisDay editor must have expected, a lot of people read and commented on it without being able to uncover the gross deceit and unprofessionalism that are SO GLARING to the discerning minds.

SHAME on this odious character of a writer, SHAME on the corrupt and unscrupulous online editor of the blatantly biased ThisDay, which has turned itself into an edifice of irresponsible and compromised journalism!

God Bless You Sir!

I have always held similar position! This Administration is made up of SE/SS Hard-line Extremists who see the chaos in the NE and MB as a Win-Win situation for them! When I narrated to my colleagues about how I saw Christian children in Taraba sleeping out in the Cold being victims of the insurgency, they quickly reminded me of the roles their grandfathers played in the civil war, thus deserved it. I was shocked at the insensitivity!
To these hardliners, if GEJ wins, its good for them! If it doesn't, they split the country to fulfil their secessionist ambitions!
My Fear is that GEJ may be too naïve to see that he has become a means to an end!

I keep telling people that the day the real sponsors of Boko Haram would be made public is the day Nigeria would disintegrate!
Yes, the way some SE EXTREMIST elements OPENLY rejoice at the deaths of INNOCENT Christians and Muslims in the NE/MB, and SADISTICALLY call such killings as 'PAYBACK', 'KARMA', is quite SHOCKING!.

In fact the kind of VENOMOUS, VENGEFUL hatred they PARTICULARLY reserve for GOWON and the Christian MB leaders for their prominent role in the unfortunate civil war surely makes it quite REASONABLE and PLAUSIBLE to think that some of them who are in the GEJ's government, and in an UNGODLY ANTI-NORTHERN ALLIANCE with some SS extremists who want achieve GEJ's re-election at all costs, would not hesitate to use ALL and ANY government instruments at their disposal to inflict MAXIMUM PAIN on the northerners, including the people of the MD.

Whether or not these evil-minded anti-north extremists in GEJ's government perpetrate their evil agendas against Northerners with his knowledge, support or ACQUIESCENCE, only the self-centred clueless himself knows.

We all know that politics is such a dirty game, and the erudite Prof. is learned and experienced enough to know better, that even if his age has never been challenged before, it could be challenged this time, for obvious reasons!.

And whatever is the OP's motive for raising this issue, I think he raised it in a fairly sensible and enlightened manner that is devoid of the usual insults that would have littered such a post if it were written by the more typical, unenlightened bigots.

So I think the Prof. and the APC leadership should PROMPTLY, DIRECTLY and CONVINCINGLY address this issue, by making public ALL THE NECESSARY RELEVANT DOCUMENTS that would, once and for all, dispel these insinuations of forgery against the highly respected Prof.

Kenai:
My guy, no need to get confrontational.
What I just stated is a glaring fact. Nigeria is a highly tribalistic country, and the questions won't be based on whose duty it is to safeguard the country from attackers, but on "What tribe are those attackers from?"

Sentiments are really high in the Middle Belt right now, and I don't see those people ever wanting anything to do with Fulanis for now.

Buhari's previous statements on the killing of Boko Haram operatives being "genocide" will still come back to seriously haunt him on February.

Majority of the voters in the Middle-Belt won't be the pseudo-intellectuals voting on internet polls, but will be the many farmers whose houses and farms these Fulani cattle herders raze everyday.

This is a statement of fact. Buhari is finished in the Middle Belt.
Tribalism will come into play
.
1. If the thinking (and hope!) among some evil-minded GEJ supporters is that there would be some MB people who were going to vote for Buhari before, but who would now CHANGE THEIR MIND and vote for GEJ because of these unfortunate ethnic clashes, even when anybody with an IOTA OF COMMONSENSE and FAIR MIND knows that Buhari has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with it, then those GEJ/PDP supporters are far MORE DEVILISH than we thought them to be!.

2. Because of this morbid thinking of some GEJ supporters, more and more PEOPLE WITH RAZOR-SHARP INTELLIGENCE in the MB/NE, and in Nigeria generally, would now be even MORE CONVINCED that the government of GEJ (or at least some elements within it) has been deliberately and CYNICALLY allowing, and would continue to allow, the ethnic clashes and BH insurgency in the NORTH (including the MB) with the HOPE that they would make more and more MYOPIC people in the affected areas to switch their political support from Buhari to GEJ.

3. It would also lend more credence to the widespread belief among DISCERNING and WELL-INFORMED northerners that maybe there are some SE EXTREMISTS within the GEJ adm who, for historical reasons, hate ALL northerners (including the people of the MB) so INTENSELY and INCONSOLABLY that they now use their powerful positions within the GEJ government, in whatever covert and overt ways, to AID and ABET these killings in the north as a way of EXERTING A SWEET REVENGE on the NORTHERNERS; some of them never hide their SADISTIC PLEASURE in seeing SO MUCH BLOODBATH AND CHAOS now happening in the "backyards" of Gowon, Danjuma, Damkat Bali, IBB, ABDUSSALMI, Mamman Shuwa, and other major actors in the unfortunate civil war from the Nigerian side!

4. It would also lead more people to believe that there are some SS EXTREMISTS who hate ALL northerners (including the MB people) EQUALLY INTENSELY simply because they see them as constituting the greatest bulk of the 'UNGRATEFUL PARASITES' who feed on their oil money and still have the audacity not to re-elect a president from their magnanimous oil-producing region!. Some of these powerful SS extremists, basking in huge money, influence and control of strategic national institutions, have shown that they are SO HELL-BENT on ensuring that 'their son' wins re-election AT ALL COSTS, that they would not hesitate to clandestinely AID and ABET any kind of chaos, killings and destruction in the NORTH (including the MB), or even throughout the REST of the 'parasite' enclave, if that could eventually lead to the re-election of their son, or (better still) lead to the break-up of the country and shaking 'ALL PARASITES' off their oil!
PoliticsRe: Deutsche Welle Publishes Scathing Article On FG And Boko Haram by LogicPower(m):
"It is unbelievable. Jonathan and his government do not even have a few words of consolation for the families of the 185 abducted women and children, let alone any plan of action"

"The fate of the people of northern Nigeria seems to be of little interest to the elite in the capital Abuja, whose chief concern is maintaining their grip on power. Nigeria is due hold a general election in February 2015."

Any honest and fair-minded observer can clearly see that although GEJ looks so amiable and humble, he is such a callous, cold-hearted, deceptive and self-centred person.

Otherwise, how can anybody explain his amazing lack of showing even minimum concern, talk less of showing any spontaneous, genuine passionate outrage, as hundreds of the people he has sworn to protect are being massacred, maimed, kidnapped and displaced almost on daily basis?

I don't think you can find any leader of a country today who would be showing so much lack of concern and interest when his people are killed in such large numbers every day. Is so unbelievable!

Remember this: Biafra will get the last laugh. Our last laugh will come because we worked for it unlike the recipients of 'One failed Nigeria' whose current preoccupation is monthly oil allowance and unbridled hunger for Ask Rock.

The nail through the heart of Nigeria shall be driven with the same mercy, love, and passion that saw the death of millions of my brothers and sisters - a genocide for which no apologies have been rendered so far.

Nigeria is on a suicide mission, this much I can say - I hope you don't fall asleep at the wrong time.

Happy holidays.
1. These your emotional outbursts and misfiring of so many irrelevant points do not, in any way, contradict any of the main points of my post, hence strictly speaking, and purely in logical terms, there is no argument between you and me.

2. For instance, whether you, or anybody for that matter, cares or not about the Nigerian project does not in any way affect the validity of my observation, which is: the dual-track approach by the Igbos whereby they want to be part of Nigeria and at the same time they are seen as pursuing their Biafran secessionist agenda, is liable to be interpreted by OTHER NIGERIANS as indicating their (Igbos') lack of commitment to the Nigerian state. And whether it is a good thing or not for them to be seen to be committed to the Nigerian state does not matter here.

3. Again in purely logical terms, whether Nigeria will last forever or collapse tomorrow, and whether or not the county as presently constituted is good and fair to all, or any or none; and whether any, all or none of the constituting units is happy and willing to continue to be part of it or not, does not affect the validity of my point that by pursuing the Nigerian and Biafran tracks simultaneously, the Igbos open themselves to the perception that they are not committed to the state of Nigeria.

4. All the other unrelated points you brought in, such as your reference to Shekau's parents, do not even make enough sense to merit a response. If anything, they only point to the extent of the logical incoherence of your post.
PoliticsRe: Biafra Attends AU Meeting In Nairobi As Member by LogicPower(m):
I know Igbos are indisputably among the most educated peoples in Africa and, as such, I assume they must have hordes of experts who must have thoroughly analysed all the implications, negative and positive, of pursuing this dual-track approach in their search of national identity.

One the one hand, they are trying (and largely succeeding) to get the best political, economic and other benefits out of NIGERIA and, on the other hand, they are also trying to revive and sustain their aspirations for a separate country of OUT OF NIGERIA.

As an outsider, I can see more negative implications to it than positive, as it portrays the Igbos to the rest of Nigerians as a people in a perpetual national identity crisis, who are, therefore, less committed to the Nigerian project, as a result of which they should not be trusted as partners in a long-term relation.

This is just my personal layman opinion, anyway!

With regard to corruption, the corrupt cabal has NEVER HAD IT SO GOOD, AND SO EASY! Most of them must have even forgotten what 'EFCC' stands for, simply because the current oga at the top DOES NOT GIVE A DAMN!

And even as hundreds of innocent Nigerians, men, women and children, Muslims and Christians, are getting killed, maimed and displaced by the BH savages, our Clueless-In-Chief DOES SEEM NOT GIVE A DAMN about it either.

Yet when it comes to anything to do with his re-election, we can all see him displaying AMAZING commitment, passion and focus, promptly and effectively mobilizing ALL GOVERNMENT RESOURCES and SECURITY PERSONNEL either to ensure his smooth campaigns or to scuttle the campaigns of his opponents. That is why people see him not only clueless, but also cold-hearted and self-centred!

And that is why the OP and others who are so desperately trying to sell his re-election bid would find it more and more frustratingly difficult to convince Nigerians to gamble on such a PROVEN FAILURE again!

Okupe, the garrulous old clown that is getting dumber, and dumber by the day!

We all know that there is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING in name, apart from the fact that it is just a name!

As my favourite Nigerian comedian (I go dye) has once joked, there are many people who are named HOPE, yet they are HOPELESS in real life!

I can also add that we have many people bearing the name GRACE, yet they end up living a DISGRACEFUL life, just as there are people whose parents named FORTUNE as children, but they grow up to be bedeviled by so many UNFORTUNATE things in their life. And how many people are called LUCKY, and they are among the most UNLUCKY fellows in life.

So, Goodluck may have actually lived up to his name, i.e. bringing so much good luck BUT ONLY to the Okupes and many thieving, morally bankrupt elite.

But to the ORDINARY Nigerians ALL OVER THE COUNTRY, his incompetent rule has brought NOTHING but more poverty, misery and suffering.

And to the people of the NE and MB, both Muslims and Christians, his clueless administration is AN OUTRIGHT DISASTER!
PoliticsRe: Will South South Support South East When The Time Comes? by LogicPower(m): 2:45pm On Dec 19, 2014
Dereformer:
I want to start this writeup by saying I am a die hard supporter of GEJ. No amount of campaign of calumny by APC will make me and my family and of course my entire students vote APC. Never.

I want to also say that I am the proudest Igbo man on earth. So nobody should be in doubt.

I am beginning to get worried as to whether we the Igbos will get the same level of support from our South south brother as we have given them in the past and even now.

It is on record that one of the greatest reasons why my beloved country, Biafra , was defeated in the war was because of the sabotage from our brothers in the south south.

My father told me that, had the south south not joined forces with the Nigerian government, we would have received the much needed arms and ammunition including relief materials, from Gabon and other countries that recognized Biafra, through Port Harcourt.

We have put all that behind us as evidenced by the maximum support we gave one of their own in the 2011 presidential election and also by the even greater support we will give them come February 2015.

The federal government before the emergence of GEJ has always created enmity between the south east and the south south. It is this divide and rule approach that has characterized federal government's dealings with the south south and south east.

GEJ will win the election come 2015, that I am very sure of. But again, will the south south support the south east when the time comes as it will soon come?

Please APC and all their supporters should keep off this thread.
1. The first question you, your family and your entire students (I hope you are not using your position to brainwash and coerce them) should try to answer is this: WHY are you, all of you, so fanatically and inflexibly fixated on supporting GEJ/PDP, no matter what?

2. How do you think the SS see your ardent support for their kinsman? I mean do you think they see you as supporting him so ardently just for some strong sense of altruistic, brotherly solidarity with them, or for your own individual, group or sub-regional interests?

3. You seem to have mixed up two kinds of the potential support your SS brothers can render to your, namely the support of your presidential candidate in a future election and the support of your Biafran dream when, and if, it is rekindled and the battle for its realization begins.

4. Considering the ethno-political realities of the SS region, I think you can count MORE on the SS people's support for an Igbo presidential candidate than you can ever count on any kind of military, strategic or even moral support from them in the event of a second Biafra war breaking out.

If that deputy governor actually made the comment that is attributed to him, then he is as dumb, as bigoted and as backward in his thinking as ANY other person, SOUTHERNER OR NORTHERNER, who tries to whip up divisive sentiments, whether along religious, ethnic or regional lines, for political gains.

2. Both what the deputy gov was reported to have said, and what you wrote in your original post, do not change the fact that Nigerians, SOUTHERNERS AND NORTHERNERS, are not as susceptible to divisive propaganda now as as they were in 2011, thanks to the GROSS INCOMPETENCE of GEJ that made even those who fanatically supported him in 2011 to now become so determined to see him GO!

Although you cleverly tried to give the impression of yourself as being someone who was not a bigot before, but was somehow forced to be one now in response to the reported bigotry of the northern governor, I am afraid many of your previous posts display even more rancid bigotry than what the northern deputy governor was reported to have said.

2. Do you really believe that 'southerners' would troop out en mass AGAIN in 2015 and vote for the continuation of this clueless and incompetent government SIMPLY because it is a government of a 'fellow southerner'?

3. Do you think all of us have forgotten how you guys have been viciously and maliciously SINGLING OUT certain sub-groups of your southern brothers for your incessant insults and all sorts of cruel taunting?

4. Has the 'southern' president EVER tried to reign in his crudest and most clannish kinsmen, such as Clark and Asari Dokubo, when the latter were publicly and viciously insulting anybody who dares criticize his government, including 'fellow southerners'?

5. How come the SW people are your 'SOUTHERN' brothers and the people of the MIDDLE BELT are now just lumped as 'NORTHERNERS'?
What happened to the 'SS/SE/MIDDLE BELT alliance' that you guys have been taunting the rest of Nigerians with?

6. Now that the reality of the VOTING POWER of each SUB-REGION has finally dawned on you, and the imminent electoral defeat of your clueless man is staring you in the face, you have suddenly jettisoned the MIDDLE BELT as your partner in alliance, and they are are now just 'northerners'.

Why is this Christian president is so lacking in MORAL COURAGE, and so self-centred, that instead of reclaiming our country from the ruthlessly corrupt elite, he has even unzipped the country and sadistically handed it over to the heartless cabal to molest her more, in return for helping him win re-election?

We know that since the clueless has so woefully failed to live up to the expectations of Nigerians and, as such, has no records of performance to hinge his re-election bid on, the only thing he and his goons (like this Shit-tu and the OP) would be hoping to use is the kind of sharp religious and ethn̥̥o-reɡional divisions that characterized the 2011 election, from which the clueless immensely benefited.

first of all don't take the loud noise and opinion of just 100 monikers on nairaland here that belongs to maybe just 10 people as the general stand of yorubas on buhari. Secondly, there is no way buhari can win in the south west except maybe it is rigged for him by apc governors. Thirdly pdp still remains the party of the yoruba majority, but yorubas are very enlightened and mature when it comes to elections, they have the capacity to vote for different parties at each level in a particular election. The problem pdp has always had in the south west is candidate and that can be seen in the case of ekiti and osun. Anytime pdp presents a popular candidate acceptable to the yoruba man ,they vote enmasse for pdp eg ekiti. In the case of osun, many osun indigenes are already fed up of apc but because the candidate presented by pdp is not popular they decided to vote for apc and even despite that pdp was still able to pull over 200,000 votes. apc is currently facing a battle of survival in the south west ,the party is hugely divided and many key figures have left, there is no way apc won't drop one or 2 more states in the south west. In the case of buhari, forget the fools shouting buhari name here on nairaland all day,the points against buhari is more than the points in his advantage. I can tell u that buhari is not accepted to the majority of yorubas .a candidate like atiku would have given pdp serious problems with a vice in the mould of oshiomole but buhari and osinbajo ticket is just as if apc leaders are been paid to lose that elections .
Your post is riddled with contradictions, delusion and deception!

1. It amounts to grand delusion for you to claim that PDP "remains the party of the Yoruba majority", only for you to contradict yourself subsequently by stating that "there is no way APC won't drop one or two states"!

2. And if, by your own admission, the problem PDP "has always had in the SW is candidate", and if the Yorubas are, also by your admission, enlightened people, why then should they stick to a party that ALWAYS has problems getting good and popular candidates?

3. How difficult is it for a people of Yorubas' level of enlightenment to come to the conclusion that a party that ALWAYS has problems getting good candidates in their region is NOT the right party the majority of their people should stick to in a multi-party system?

4. If, in any given situation, there are two groups of people, and one group almost always presents good and decent representatives from among them, and the other group almost always presents rogues and bandits as its representatives, does it not LOGICALLY follow that there are a lot more good people in the former group than in the latter?.

5. Is it not then an insult to the Yoruba people for you to imply that majority of them support a party that has so repeatedly failed to present good candidates for them who would perform credibly well?

6. The deception in your post, which could easily be detected by any discerning mind, is that you only speculated about Buhari's chances of being elected or not elected by the Yorubas, but you COMPLETELY and DECEPTIVELY avoided ANY MENTION of how popular, electable or acceptable you think the clueless is among the Yorubas, and why!.

The big SURGE in Buhari's popularity and electability started AFTER it became VERY CLEAR, even to many who voted for GEJ in 2011, that it is very UNPATRIOTIC, and in fact DANGEROUS, to continue to entrust the collective destiny of our great nation in the hands of such a clueless person who clearly lacks the leadership drive, passion and the MORAL CLARITY to tackle the twin monsters of corruption and insecurity that are destroying our country!.

Unfortunately for the cluelessness-infested Abati, many of the actions taken by the Buhari-led regime as revealed by WIKILEAKS are PRECISELY some of the reasons the no-nonsense general today enjoys an unparallelled following among the ordinary Nigerians, especially the young ones who see their future being destroyed by a heartlessly corrupt elite!.

For instance, by reminding the whole world how Buhari was so determined to bring to justice one of the MOST POWERFUL, MOST INFLUENTIAL member of the Northern oligarchy, and who happened to be his kinsmen, Abati has unwittingly advertized Buhari's personal integrity and his well-known disdain for the corrupt!

On the other hand, the clueless principal of Abati has now shown to Nigerians that he is always at his HAPPIEST MOMENT and feels MOST AT EASE when he is in very close and warm romance with the WORST among the most corrupt elite!

menesheh:
Yesterday a Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to President, Reuben Abati published in his Twitter the exposing information from Wikileaks about Buhari’s 1983-84 governing years.

The information is provided by the Public Library of United States Diplomacy through Wikileaks

Like President Obasanjo before the 1999 election, General Buhari’s political experience is limited to that of military Head of State. Buhari came to power as a result of a 1983 New Year’s Eve coup against the democratically elected Shehu Shagari. The eviction of Shagari came as a welcome relief as did Buhari’s promise to root out corruption. That relief, however, was short-lived as Nigerians watched despairingly as the Buhari regime’s promises to revive the economy and wipe out rampant corruption withered during 20 months of heavy-handed, largely ineffective rule.

In May 1984, Buhari ordered the brutal expulsion of 700,000 illegal immigrants from neighboring African states, jailed hundreds of political opponents and muzzled a once aggressive press. His loyalty to the military also came into question as he dismissed 30,000 soldiers as a cost-cutting measure. Buhari also soured Nigeria’s relations with Britain, when he was accused of masterminding a clumsy and unsuccessful attempt in July 1984 to kidnap President Shagari’s brother-in-law, former Transport Minister Umaru Dikko. Moreover, Buhari undermined traditional rulers throughout Nigeria, slashing their benefits and questioning their authority.

Its website, initiated in 2006 in Iceland by the organization Sunshine Press, claimed a database of more than 1.2 million documents within a year of its launch.

All these sentences and other severe punishments being meted out to the Nigerian soldiers would have made more sense to Nigerians, and even some members of the international community, if the convicted soldiers had been provided with the RIGHT AND ADEQUATE MODERN ARMS AND AMMUNITION to face the well-armed BH insurgents but they just decided not to, out of sheer insubordination and mutinous tendencies.

But we ALL know that this is not the case; most of these brave young men and women would readily take the fight to the BH terrorists up to their Sambisa hiding place, IF only they could be provided with THE RIGHT AND ADEQUATE weapons and other equipment, but unfortunately they were not.

And this is why Nigerians generally would always sympathize with the mutinous soldiers, even though they do not condone the act of mutiny itself. And that is why these death sentences are likely to be generally condemned, both at home and abroad
