Brand new car for 23k naira weekly. What type of car ..

I recall when Ogataxi came out with their own cars, they brought in a lot of cars to give out for rental.. I dont hear much of them now ...

You can imagine. They won't get back their capital in 15 years. That's if the vehicle even last up to 15 years. They didn't even ask themselves why uber and bolt refuse to buy their own car
Business / Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by lograr(m): 2:16pm On Mar 10, 2020
Stop accepting transfer. Says Bolt. Better still you should ask rider if they are paying with transfer before starting the trip.

Sir, not everyone comment before calling. Someone once said his number is switched off. As I type, the number is still switched off. That means he has been feeling the heat. I recharged because of him. Be it male or female anyone who owes must pay!

A man stabbed a girl near urukpotha hall today, instead of people to rush her to hospital, they where busy taking pictures till she bleed to death.

I saw some gathering at the main road today. Didnt know what happened. And police station is a stone throw from there. Central hospital is less than a kilometer from there. Hmmm !

I laugh at people that keeps calling Ambode a coward. I never liked the Ambode of a person but he fought like a sane and civilize person. #Trashing it out at the primary. When two elephants fight the ground suffers. Its Edo people that is currently suffering this fight.

Do you know how much that's was meant for development and ended up been squandered on the senseless fight? Who suffered? The state. Imagine Ambode shutting down Lagos airport as it was done in Benin because of Tinubu arrival. Do you know how much Lagos will lose in tourism and Aviation sector on that day? Do you know the inconvenience it will create for lagosians? As we speak lots of people have been injured in this fight non of the persons is related to either oshiomhole or Obaseki.

Lots of properties have been destroyed and burnt. Who lose ? The people . Over 80℅ of Edo roads are bad. Airport road is unarguably the best road in Benin and the entire State. Very sturdy. Do you know the damage the fire did to the road? Who suffered? The people. Benin was on locked down on his last visit. Practically no movement on that day. Guns where fired sporadically a day after that when oshiomhole was still around. And a shell of bullet fell on a colleague of mine car. What if he had died?

And when the state lose Economically as a result of the restricted movements, who lose? The people! Lagosians should be grateful to Ambode for been civil and reasonable!

I too disagree totally, it makes no sense even to a dog. But you agreed for the creation of an Agency for repentant militants, paying them monthly for doing nothing, sending them to foreign schools with government money and making several of them billionaires overnight e.g. Asari Dokuboh, Government Tompolo, John Boyloaf, Ateke Tom after kidnapping, raping and killing several Nigerians and foreigners.

You people should stop comparing bokoharam to Niger delta militant. Niger delta militant Surrendered before armnesty was granted! They stopped violence afterwards. ECOWAS commended Nigeria for doing so! Does bokoram tell you they want armensty? Did they surrender? They are still killing people till date and you are supporting for the release of captured terrorist. Please join the Nigeria Army, capture the bokoharam and release them.

Let's assume this very speaker is the most qualified person for the position. What sense is there for him to step down cus of zoning ? Can't we act as one for Pete sake?!

Issue is not about d value attached to d driving job.

I don't think you are in dis game. If you are, pls lay out a plan for Op to achieve a 150,000k MONTHLY remittance.

What am I even saying. It takes the grace of God, it's a highly fluid situation out there.

You don't know d next thing that will happen

Driving in and out of Lagos traffic , day in day out 12 hours daily will take a toll on ones health.

N d uber guy you quoted in Abuja CANNOT make such money on Uber or Bolt.

The guys DT make money make it OFFLINE. N not on uber or bolt.platform.

Dirt cheap fares in Abuja.

150k monthly. That's over 35k weekly. Who does that

Working 12hrs everyday shouldn’t be that hard if you really enjoy driving,
You meet all sorts in Nigeria from the snotty, rude, friendly, kind, hopeless, disgusting but guess what, you are working, your making more money then the average guy, you got a future , you can even start a side business,
I tell people be proud of what you do enjoy your job and always count your blessing one by one,
That’s the way l feel anyway.
I’ve noticed quite a few drivers have a chip on their shoulder about this job, some feel inadequate, some drivers feel riders look down on them .
Who cares, just give a good service have future plans, and of course pray,
I know a chap in Abuja a diligent Hausa guy , he started with UBER 2017, now has two cars on the road drives one and rents the other out, his side hustle is rice growing on his family land also plans to buy a tractor to make his farming easier and to rent out, the tractor on an hourly basis to anyone that’s needs it,
Dream guys never give up!!
We are Nigerians.
If we are honest with our selfs, nothing stop us from ajoooing our money or pooling our money together to start something tangible
May God bless our hustle folks.

Uber is actually his side hustle. Rice is the most expensive food in Nigeria right now.if not for the recent increment of minimum wage the salary of a minimum wage earner won't afford a bag of rice. Rice farming is a gold mine. Visit abuja uber thread on nairaland and see how much the drivers make. Lagos drivers earn more than abuja. Even drivers in Benin earns more than Abuja drivers

Among all the thread of Business section on nairaland, this thread is the most lively and active thread of all. Always at the first page at all time. Going by that, it means uber/taxify is what lagosians invest on most. Virtually everyone is now complaining about government policy that is making the business unbearable.

Treasury bill thread used to be the second most active thread. Guess what, Government policy is also killing it.

Is there a law that says you cant drive a car that is not registered in your name.....
Have you been asked for hackney permit or whatever it is called...??...
I have been stopped couple of times and have never heard that before..non of my drivers have ever been asked that before. .no one that I know in this line of work has been asked before...only on nairaland by the same monikers.....
Many people visit this thread....stop selling them ideas to extort you....As far as government is concerned, you are working for a private company...if they have anything to say...they say that to the companies....
Uber is licensed to run in the state.....Uber will be the first to know if you needed any kind of permits...
Very soon we will start hearing lastma says your car must be painted in yellow.....
Even if some one had the idea...you should always know your right and stand by it....
How many drivers on this thread have been charged for not having the permit........If you had, show proof....if not....go and sleep....
No wonder riders treat some of them anyhow......shm....

We already know our money is worthless

Don't mind them. very annoying and inaccurate. As if it was bought with naira.
A car that's bought with 1m dollars doesn't translate to 360m naira even if 360 is exchange rate. If you buy that same car here it will far exceeds 360m due to shipping, duties and others

We should also boycott google abi? We can't boycott American product we are too dependent on them. Some of the things you see in our nation today which you think isn't American product is imported from USA. You will hardly see a Toyota car which is Japanese imported from Japan. Majority of them comes from USA.
