DoctorAshley: i hate galz hu treat guys badlySo how do you treat the guys? |
Finally. How long till it hits Nigeria? |
2.5 million deaths per year? I seriously doubt. What statistic is that one? See this one below: According to the 2014 World Health Organisation(WHO) Global Status Report on Alcohol and Health, 3.3 million people die annually from alcohol abuse worldwide. Alcohol abuse causes 1 in 20 deaths worldwide with 1 death occurring every 10 seconds. |
She loves you. But she isn't sure you reciprocate the same gesture. She needs to be sure. Give her a reason. Btw, dyu even love the babe? Or you just wan free style am like the rest ![]() Talk about being a serial bachelor. |
Getting married occurs in a spectrum of 3 phases: 1) You being ready 2) You finding someone 3) Tying the nuptial knot. From what I've read you're yet to begin phase 1. You're not ready (doesn't matter how old you are). You still derive maximum utility from solitude, which is a choice you're entitled to. Talk about fundamental human rights-lol. Contrary to what should be, people almost always mistake increasing age to mean being ready for marriage. So those people "disturbing" you to tie the nuptial knot assume that by being 32, you're ready. Which, obviously is wrong. Some will go the extra mile to get you to phase 2 by setting you up with ladies and all that.Truth is, if you're not ready, none of that is gonna work. I'd rather they leave you alone to either enjoy your solitude as your responsible choice. You described yourself as having an "innate longing for solitude". But then I ask myself, what person would choose to be alone. Even the Lord God said : "It is not good for the man to be alone....." |
sexyexcalibur: as a doctor, u can't just assume like DT.... let me paint a scenario.... your nurse calls u, wen u wia out n says a patient z having crisis.... will u start dishing out management without asking for d presenting symptoms to know wat type exactly..... look, am not trying to shw off, BT sickle cell crisis z nt bone pain...check d definition...... its wrong to mk d public Cee it as just bone pain, as DT will cause late presentation of oda forms... op u gt me new....I get you totally. |
generalstingz: Seems you don't understand what "etymology" of words means....its not too late to pick up ur dicoHaha...I struck a nerve. |
sexyexcalibur: der r diff types bro.. you just described acute bone pain crisis... der are also vaso-occlusive crisis , aplastic crisis ,I know. When a sickle cell patient says he/she has a crisis, we all know its pain crisis. Then there's the issue of public enlightenment in layman's language. Its the easiest to understand so I better leave it like that. Make sure you carry enough Dextrose with you when you be mentioning Vaso-occlusive and sequestration on nairaland. |
Taeewo: Crisis as in?Severe pain that occurs episodically in sickle cell patients is called crisis. |
The pain faced by sickle cell patients in unbearable and cannot be understood by anyone other than the sickle cell patient. Acute pain crisis in sickle cell patients is best controlled by opioids. If paracetamol and NSAIDs doesn't relive you, step it up to tram. You will need a prescription for this. You've gone to hospital to see the doctors? The best way to control a crisis is to prevent one. -No alcohol -No smoking -Take lots of fluids. ESP in hot weather and when you exercise. You need to stay hydrated all the time. Dehydration will risk a crisis. In fact you need at least 8 -10 glasses a day -Exercise regularly. But not too much. Some press-ups, some push-ups, or just mild jogging. It keeps the blood flowing and your circulation active. Don't forget to drink plenty water - you will need to step up to 12 glasses now. -Treat infections as soon as they occur. You notice a common cold, go to your doctor for antibiotic coverage, you don't wanna risk a respiratory tract infection. You have an injury, please antibiotic coverage. The professionals know how to take care of this one. Which is why going to hospital to be known by the specialists is fundamental. -Don't risk cold weathers and environments. Always carry your sweater around. Stay warm. Don't stay in cold environments- no a.c, no plenty fan. By all means, stay warm. Exposing yourself to cold can trigger a crisis - Remain focused, positive and live life to the fullest. Cos believe me, that's all you got. |
Moral of the story: Life is not by size. |
I spend more time wondering how the water got in there in the first instance. |
From the names, we know who the culprits are. |
DrHesjay: lomaxx, ebsuguy and all bosses on d thread...RBCs exist in a spectrum from the precursors to the matured RBC. When they said RBCs do not have nucleus and DNA, they were referring to matured RBCs. Precursors to matured RBCs have a nucleus and DNA. Vitamin B12 is necessary for maturation of precursors RbCs to mature RBC. And as they mature, nucleus is lost. That's why people with Vitamin B12 deficiency come down with Megaloblastic anaemia. Because of defective DNA synthesis in the precursor RBC. Hence, no maturity. So they tend to have a lot of immature RBCs in circulation leading to anaemia. If its not matured RBC, it isn't RBC. |
swiftz: @ lomaxx, are you sure it won't be best to upload them here or maybe on 4shared?My job is simple. I sort the books into their different courses and provide the direct download links with instructions(as applicable). I'll send to all the email addresses and subsequent emails, I'll just forward simply. Instead of uploading for you to download, I provide the links and you download with almost 2 clicks. By tomorrow morning, those who have dropped their mails should expect the dispatch. |
NB; I believe these comments of his is a result of brainwashing; codeine, Roche, tramol and other forms of hard drugs. The psychology of a terrorist is hardcore. Best believe. |

opey25: nice response,I think most medical students and doctors on this forum are intimidated by the figures the op posted about d income of engineers in multinational companies.I think it is only in the federal civil service that doctors earn more than engineers.most engineers in private companies earn more than doctors in both public and private sector. . |
UromOta: bro pls wic type of tablet do u use?iPad 4 |
Ok this is what I'm gonna do I'm gonna categorize all thr soft copy links from preclinical to final year All the books you're gonna need Both Indian and others. You heard me right- Indian books. -You can have Vasudevan, Charteajea , Sembulimgam , Harsh Mogan all in clean soft copy. So drop your mails while I find start work. May I use this time to say that as a medical student, a tablet is a must-have. You need it. If you have money, buy an iPad, bcause the battery life is flawless. The iPad 4 has a battery capacity of over 11,000 mah. If you're just using it to read without browsing, you could go for 4days without charge. If you don't have money so much, buy a good tablet with a decent battery life. Tecno pads have decent battery life. Samsung too. With a tablet you can have so many books at your disposal. Instead of buying one book and being limited, you can have as many as 4. It gives you an advantage over ur peers. And best if all, you can read anywhere. Good luck guys. I'll get back to y'all. |
Where else would it be? Lagos. |

I would have done worse. I would have assaulted the air out of his lungs and ripped out his intestines from his abdominal cavity. That's if he will be lucky to escape without multiple skull fractures and a spinal cord injury. slowpoke!!! |
