decode55:I don't want to hurt the personal feelings of the OP but mugu is understating it. OP shouldn't be complaining. |
tlanry: I rep intimacy after wedding. No wahala. Happy spending. |
Have you f.ucked her yet? |

You need Psychiatric evaluation. |
Doclight: oga lomaxx please pardon his misconceptionNeonates should be allowed to rant as much as they possibly can. Fetal life can indeed be intoxicating. |
KingTom: The ability of a Doctor to perform successful surgeries and diagnose correctly depends on his own readable knowledge. Do all of you here think we were spoonfed in schoolExactly the point I was trying to make in my first post. As a doctor, you make yourself. Irrespective of where you find yourself. Kudos man, you just hit it well. |
Teespice: Sarcasm at its peak.Only sharp minds notice sarcasm. Well- you know how it is with sarcasm. You stand the risk of being grossly misinterpreted. Being ordinary with these folks has its own benefits. |
Be blunt to the appraisal of people who are neither better than you or can help you grow. I judge that you have created a career path for yourself and you're currently in it. I'll advise that you stick to what you're doing to generate the required exposure and experience. Sooner or later you'll sail to where your skills will be more appreciated. |
ashhascash: Dunno but its lyk i envy u, having a balance btw Med schl nd social activities. Wish i can do same also, partly into Rap.Balance comes with time. I still know my limits. If you want to find balance, be ready to study anywhere and everywhere. Refuse to have a dedicated/special reading time. Strive to read everywhere you find yourself - on impulse. I carry my iPad everywhere. In the taxi from point A to point B, I don commot am to read. We're waiting for a lecturer in class, instead of participating in the noise making, my iPad is out to study. Or im cooking beans in my kitchen, instead of waiting lazily for the beans to get soft, commot book stand dia and read. Read in btw hours and schedules. Charge your brain to remember as you study. Recite to yourself when you study...ask questions and find the answers. My dear, people spend time doing various things. Some spend it sleeping, partying, doing politics etc etc. I spend mind doing the things I love. One thing I don't want in the future, is to wake up one morning and realize I have wasted my time. |
DrHesjay: Wow...Thanks for d answer bossAsides being a medical student, I'm now a radio presenter. The programme is on the historical dynamics of gospel music amidst the current trends. After 13 weeks of running on radio to build listenership, it's gonna go on TV. That's why I'm staying up this late, working on my script (I hate staying up late). I want to try my hands on some media stuff and see how far that takes me. Besides that, life is normal with the NMA drama going on. Clinical rotations have been suspended till the strike is called off. These people no wan mek I do commot for this place. Dem think say na only patient dey suffer. |

That's a very intelligent one. Actually, a good number of folks with these Trisomies are not carried to term. Most are aborted spontaneously. For the ones that are carried to term, a good percentage of them are stillborn. However, some are lucky to survive. Very very few. The clinical features of both Trisomies are disastrous that's why they don't survive for long. However, those that survive can show features of mental retardation. That's how mental retardation is seen in those Trisomies. Some lucky ones survive. Hope you're good. |
Doclight: hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm romance!I have time for most things I want to have time for. NMA strike halted my clinical rotations. So when the strike is over, I'll be back to the usual. |
DrHesjay: Boss mii,. I trust u when it comes to these things...lolOk bro I'll check the thread. I've been busy in the romance section ![]() |
FrancisTony: Heeya. You sound pained. What for ? |
You're not wrong. Attending a top medical school in Nigeria makes you a better doctor, your diagnosis will always be top-notch, ensures you automatically have the answers to all health problems. It also means you'll never have to fail professional examinations as a student and finally you're better off than folks in Harvard Med. |

Why are you people interested in these neonates? Get some balls and go after adults. |
1. Whenever it occurs to you to talk to a particular girl, talk to her. Don't think about it. |
First lover was likely the first to perforate. How can you forget the person who licked your soup for the first time? |
YourHealthlabs: I have absolutely nothing against Nigerian docs, i salute the respectable ones, it's a mutual thing, but selling the "America-really-wants-Nigerian-physicians" balderdash on T.V, radios, newspaper, relegating other professionals and misrepresenting facts to the gullible populace can not be condoned by those who know the goings-on.America doesn't want Nigerian physicians. America needs IMGs. There are technicalities in getting into the American system, I must admit. It is multi-factorial. The smart ones know this and know their way around. But abeg don't ever say that only 3% of foreign trained doctors pass the USMLE. I know a guy that commented on this thread on the first page. He passed the 2 steps in one sitting. Some people want to go out there, learn new stuff and come back to build the system. We can't all be flying to India every now and then for hip replacement surgeries and bone marrow transplant. Then when we need Prosthetic devices , we start looking at Germany. The Indians got to where they are now because they represent the highest number of IMGs in the US( over 20% of all IMGs). They went there, learnt the skill and came back. Cheers. |
