The Nigerian Senate and House of Reps have summoned Chief of Army Staff, Mr. Tukur Buratai over a clash with Shiite Muslims in Zaria which led to the death of over 60 people.

The Director General of the Department of State Services, Lawan Daura, and “heads of other security agencies,” would be summoned by a House joint Committee on Army/National Security/Intelligence and Public Safety.

Also to appear before the House are the top leaders of the Islamic Movement, “as well as other stakeholders as the House may deem fit to discuss the issue.”

“The Chief of Army Staff will have to come and testify before the committee as an important stakeholder. The committee has the mandate of the House to invite him. The DG, as well as the DSS too, is relevant to this investigation. It will involve heads of other security agencies since the committee will be looking at the security implications or otherwise of the clash. The leaders of the Islamic Movement will also have to come and state their side of the matter before the committee can reach any reasonable conclusions," a National Assembly official said.

The ministers are in place and are working, it's on a matter of few months and people will start feeling the impact in some ways. Not everything will be normal but in some ways, things I'll start getting better in few months time.

But you will not know and feel it until after a few years.

are you sure you are in Nigeria...... Because the Nigeria am in, the so called president n ministers you are talking about are not working, inactive there is increase in everything.... Increase in fuel price, increase in conversion of naira to dollars, increase in light bill, increase in d number of people losing their jobs. What I'm saying is that the money paid to this subsidy which can't be verified and runs into billions of naira can be used for infrastructure development...
If subsidy is removed market forces will act on price....and the price will eventually fall....it might be high initially but it will eventually crash.....
Take our mobile lines for example....when mtn used charge us 50naira per min...even if u spoke for just 2sec you will be billed 50naira....but when the other service providers came into the market....e.g. glo....came in and started billing per sec....mtn and econet now airtel had to crash their prices too....As a result many tariff plans started coming up from all the different service providers in other to encourage their subscribers and to keep them as customers. This is what will eventually happen to the oil sector when it is fully privatize and govt takes hands off the subsidy....After all these marketters are not honest...some don't even bring in the amount of oil they get subsidy for....some adjusts der pumps in d filling stations....They hold the country to ransome and go on strike at will...some are selling for 150 naira per litre yet they collect money for subsidy at 87 naira per litre...If subsidy is removed you get value for your money and all dis fraud will stop or be reduced
