Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Do You Regret Leaving Your Lucrative Nigerian Job For Abroad Menial Job by lordally(m): 8:35am On Jul 05, 2021 |
slimanyd: Chai . Ur 2nd story bros nah ajebutter . No confirm Ajepako go reach Canada go ever think of coming back to Nigeria. thats why its said if you are earning around 200k plus in naira per month , Abroad is not for you to relocate rather for enjoyment . but people wey dey do factory work ,shift work join , wey they enter danfo ,and molue join , wey dey sweat for body like fowl for naija , nah them abroad and relocation fit work for. People wey be say them get strength to dey do 2 to 3 jobs in a day , people wey no dey look uche face. Person wey never get AC for Car , Those ones would do everything to adapt to the new environment. I swear you just hit the nail on the head!!! Lemme tell you my uncle's story. For so many years he's been trying to move abroad and he's been duped a couple of times. He got admission and refused to go to school saying the Nigerian system as being useless!! He's been working as a security guard for several years and the while family saw him as being useless and having no ambition! Everyone gave up on him! Omo this uncle of mine had all his mind in the US and it's either USA or nothing!! Then in 2017 God picked his call and he got a visit visa to the USA for a conference in NEW YORK Omo before he left withing a week the while family raised 900K for him plus his own little savings so he left. After the conference in NEW YORK , he moved to another State then started planning numerous legal ways to legalise his stay. He knew he had to look for ways to legalise his stay withing the 2yrs his visit visa was valid. So to cut story short , he applied for Asylum with a valid reason and he employed and immigration lawyer mind you the moment he applied for Asylum he was given a temporary work permit of which he could use to work pending till when his Asylum case is being determined , he was also given an accommodation and Food stamp. To cut the story short , he was granted an asylum and he now enjoys benefits in the US. As of today he has a house he bought in the US , A car , he has a land in Nigeria too and he's been helping family members to some extent. So I would say for someone who has only WAEC and was working a security job in Nigeria living a good life top earners live in Nigeria I would say moving abroad brought only good tidings for him. 2yrs back he collapse at work and And 911 was called they came ASAP was administering first aid to him right in the Ambulance until he got to the Hospital. Dr said something about Kidney stone or something I can't recollect but he called his siblings and told them about it Omo everybody don begin dey plan how them go start praying and fasting Omo the next day he called and said the Dr operated on him and it's been resolved!!! Now tell me if he was in Nigeria na mortuary in for land! So looking at my uncle's case Omo if you no what's you're doing and you're so determined to move abroad not cos you're being forced Omo you go make am abeg!! In 2019 he even tried to help 6 members of the family come over!! He paid money for our passports and Visa application fees but Omo dem deny all of us ooo!! So for me Abroad anytime any day! |

Premiumwriter2: please say what you know.
Kudabank response team is very efficient and I have been using them for over a year now. In fact I can proudly say I started when they were just starting out.
They are worth every effort to bank with. Every Nigerian should have an account with them as a matter of fact. No fees at all.
I even recently got an offer from them: loan of 50k at 0.3% interest per month, which bank in Nigeria can offer that? All you said about them is true but the loan is 0.3% per day not per month |

zeemahn: Standard pay for a junior dev in decent companies like symphix, systemspecs, access bank, airpeace, interswitch, etc is between 180k to 350k. I know people working in some of those companies.
Standard mid-level developer salary in a decent company is from 450k. Some senior devs receive close to a million or more minus bonuses and added benefits.
We should assume (and I think we would be right if we do) that decadevs get jobs with decent companies after their training. Not those 50-80k jobs that exploit desperate people. Nice one bro.. I asked based on the Numerous Junior developer salary in Nigeria which the higheat most comon around is 100k so I was wondering how a Decave would be able to pay back the 3M plus in 3yrs |

TechCapon: I'm dead serious. I passed the exam and was awarded the scholarship for the last cohort but I turned it down because I did not have a guarantor that would pay N3m in case I decide to abscond after the training. I didn't even bother to apply for this cohort. Lol Does the exam involve Algorithm and it's like? |

eddy42: I have a friend that was enrolled in the program before Corona. He didn't finish with them because he got a good job with the FG but Decagon is worth from all our discussion with him as they get them jobs of #250,000 at least and if I could remember the salary is split into three while they take 1/3. The repayment is gradual. They also equip you with state of the art laptops and labs. Overall it's great.
The big question is how prepared are you because they don't just enroll people as they are quite selective and you have to pass a serious of their aptitude test and all.
I wonder why most of the first set of people to comment on this forum are always eager to air their ignorance, like how can you just come and say something you really have little or no knowledge about confidently, please we can do better abeg. Make we dey try reason well if our government officials no want dey reason abeg.
Sorry about my punctuations o, I no be writer. I sent you a mail bro. I would kindly like to get a few info |

Jonathan39: Your mindset is your problem, cheap things will kill black people. Overseas, student loan exist. HNG? The total number of HNG interns who ended up with a job since it started, is not up to just one squad of Decagon. I was part of HNGi7. Do they teach you anything? Do you get offered a job if you don't make it to last stage? Do they provide you light, data? What about accomodation and stream of other developers in the industry?

Jonathan39: What if you stay at home looking for a job, while someone who under the training, get a job and clear the debt? You've not considered that. You are guaranteed a job paying 250k a Month after graduating from decagon. Bro I don't want to argue with you on this but I find it difficult to believe that Decagon gets a job of 250K a month for you after graduation!! It's more like a junior dev paid same amount some Mid-level developer earns here in Nigeria. I also wanna ask did you go into Decagon? If you did after the training did you get a job? I'm asking not to dispute your claims but to gain more insight. |

Karleb: They aren't.
If you say they are one of the best, I'd agree.
The only thing they offer I like is the reputation the company has, it'll help with job interviews.
Stutern and HNG graduates are getting internship role at foreign companies, mind you, HNG is free. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Imagine starting your career with debt to pay. I don't like that. Stut.ern doesn't get you Internship with any Foreign Company ooo the cohort that started in July last year I only know of 3 that they linked with jobs the rest still dey find work. |

About time you Ipobs accept the reality that you’ve got no international support. The UN already told you the world is not ready to accept over 200m refugees. Everything will be done to keep Nigeria together. So guys, stop chasing shadows. It’s game over for Nnamdi Kanu. He’s done for good. So the if BIAFRA is being allowed to go their way it means Nigeria would disintegrate and have over 200M refugees Hahahaha bro come on!!! Stop this abeg |

Geraldomezy: Please fellow nairalanders, I'm new here. I really need your advice. I am about sending my brother to Poland for 1year work Visa from Nigeria. The agent sent a job offer of 6k zlotys per month as a poultry farm worker. Is it a good place to live and work & how good is the offer? Thanks in anticipation.
Please If you live or lived in Poland I need your opinion. Is it really worth leaving Nigeria for? Based on my information... It's possible to get a Polish WP from Nigeria going there and starting a job in a Blue collar job but most Blue collar jobs pay 2500 Polish Zloty to 3000 Polish Zloty so that 6K PLN salary your gent got you is fishy!! It's obvious something is wrong somewhere that agent doesn't look sincere. But as for Poland , it's a good place I personally have a distant person who left for Poland this January via a Blue Collar work permit |

iamadonis2: Honestly I feel like pausing any self development agenda in Nigeria. My entire focus right now is geared towards a life that’ll give me the chance to relocate to one small village in Iceland where I can:
watch the aurora each night. Read books. Listen to great music. Keep a great family and make great friendships. Then I die.
You all in Nigeria can keep using Benz and iPhone to tension your statistically short lives.
