Programming is an of alluring profession, at least to me who seems to love creativity and real word practicality that comes with web development.

My interest in programming language, most especially Python is on a high, but to be honest, I'm afraid to start the process and commit to learning it.

After spending a lot of years in school, now I'm close to 30 years of age. So I don't know how long it might take to learn Python and Django. I'm sure it'll be a little bit challenging, but I love challenges myself.

So over to you, my guru developers in the house... is (30) not too old to start learning this technologies.

I'll take all advice, or critique.
Bro you are not old!! I'm 29yrs of age I studied computer Engineering in uni finished NYSC 2019 came out no good job then I just started learning how to Code full time last month I'm done with HTML and CSS and I'm about to get Into JAVASCRIPT!!! hopefully by November at most if things goes well, I should be done!! And then hopefully get a job!! My Networking skills are top notch so I won't have a problem!!

I would advice , it's not going to be easy but it's a decision I must tell you you won't regret. One of my guy who happens to be my very close friend and my former course mate in uni that started learning java in 2018 when me I dey Reason Another thing , earns 250k presently he didn't have a good job when he was in ABJ but the company he works for contacted him On LinkedIn in January this year.

It's a field you would never regret joining but I would advice based on my little experience if you are not good at networking work on it cos it will come in Handy when you're done with your learning that's if you choose to go into software development. Make e be say you don get the skill and na job remain rather than make job opening come and you no get the skill...

The thing is just start!! If you have a laptop try and get the required courses , download them. Like as for me it's a struggle to get data so I met a friend , got all the necessary JavaScript and REACT Videos from him so I would only be needing little data from time to time( although I'm still looking for any IT internship so I can make little funds to keep body and soul )

In Summary, with IT you would have job security and you might not be the richest man in Nigeria but you can never be poor!!!

MODIFIED: If you need videos on HTML , CSS , JAVASCRIPT and REACT and If you're in Lagos and can come around Ikotun , we could meet and I'll send you the required videos FREE OF CHARGE but you go pay my TP this is my own way of giving back!

Honestly I feel I should sometimes share my story but I am not where I want to be yet. Op I started learning to code February last year. As you see me so, I don't have up to a year of work experience. It took me 2 weeks to get my first job when I started looking and it took around 2 months to get my first remote job. I have been working remotely since last year and I am what you will call a junior.

I also know other juniors who have had no problems finding jobs at all. Learn the frontend well. When I got my first job I knew only frontend, build projects solid projects o not to to do app and calculator. Apply to jobs on job sites. There's always vacancies for programmers everyday. You can use LinkedIn, indeed and hotnigerianjobs to research.
E go make sense if you create a thread about your journey... It's gonna help lots of Prospective developers

LOL Oga please go into full details so the rest of us can learn now grin wink
My Guy bought the first bike and gave it on High purchase the person was paying then after like 2 months started skipping payments. My friend collected the bike the guy came to beg my friend gave it back to him after few weeks money we no see bike we no see na so so excuse say bike spoil this and that then one day the bike man parked the bike one place and was smoking weed with some guys. Na so police come park am and also impounded the bike. My guy had to go pay police to release the bike and he got tired of the whole wahala and sold the bike!

He got the second one and gave it out to a family man with a kid. That one was paying initially of which the pay was 15k per week then he complained it was much for him then my friend reduced it to 10k per week. Then he was paying for like 3 weeks then stopped paying for another 3 weeks! Omo bike we no see money we no see! Then my guy tried to pay police to collect the bike cos we couldn't find him then he paid money for one week( 10k ) and called saying he had to relocate to a new apartment that's why he wasn't paying naso my guy begin para say at least he would have informed him. The man apologized.

In a month he would pay for just 1 week( 10k) and wouldn't pay again. Omo one day he just came and started saying the bike was stolen from where he Parked it. Omo my guy carry. Go Police station (all these things na still expenses ) as the guy dey cell the wife carry the pikin wey still dey suck breast come dey beg so my guy had to buy another bike for the man gain so he could pay him for the stolen bike and also for the new one ( we knew the bike wasn't stolen but the stupid man sold it but keeping him in the police station wasn't going to give him back the money )

The guy took the new bike and was paying and was seriously skipping payments. Then a time came for 1 months plus he didn't pick calls and wasn't paying then my guy go in house we bear say guy man don park! We made findings then realise say the guy don jakpa go Osun state. Na in we run go hold the Guarantor which happens to be his wife's mother and all these things na money o! So the guarantor had to travel to look for him , we paid police too etc then we got him and took the bike all these processes Gulped more than 20k from my guy on top bike wey no dey bring money ooo. Now the bike don come back my guys repair am and then sell am cos in don tire for the matter!! And to repair am go fit gulp like 50k Omo guy man don tire!!!

So any time I see comments about Transport business on high purchase I just Smile and tell myself " Shebi na here we dey!!! Them go still carry the matter come Nairaland make we settle"

Sorry Bros, but next time be wise and rugged. Upper Iweaka is a very bad area for the first timers if you don't change your step to look like that of rugged guy, they bad guys will know that you are a Jonny just come and come after you. Next time ask for help from those street traders, and
Finally, a lesson has been passed, but as a guy you messed up.ooo
I'm telling you!! Omo as I read through the guys comments I laugh small.

I was born and brought up in Lagos. Then i went to Uni in umuahia in Abia state so I had the inner workings of both worlds cos I also frequented ABA too. So when it was time to serve in 2018 I was posted to EBONYI . When I wanted to buy some clothes in Bulk I choose to go to Onitsha. My brother as I Alighted the bus that took me to Onitsha I changed my step , my look and I bone! I wore those Caterpillar Sandals wey Rugged and one black Jean like that.

I wanted to ask for directions I stopped one lady hawking Plantain chips and asked her for directions and prices of the keke I'll take to Onitsha Main market she directed me also telling me the prices. I bought some plantains chips from her and tipped her #50 .Omo I begin dey waka. I put my phone for my Pocket come still hold my Jean trouser tight for that place my phone dey. I swear with the look on my face some Touts wey won even ask me "Oga where you dey go" once dem look my fave, their facial reaction was like " Omo free this guy, this one na our fellow Tout wey come out come husstle" Omo I combine both my Lagos Oshodi and Ilasamaja Brought up skills with my Umuahia and Aba skills together that day! Omo come see as I dey waka walai you no go know say I be Corper wey just enter Onitsha for the first time that day. I resemble Agbero wey dey learn work for in oga hand carry in money run!

As I walked tru the Main market of Onitsha I bone my face the more! Omo come see rugged face! People confirm! I price like say I be thief! And if them no gree I waka comot then them go call me back! And anything I buy from them I no wait make dem put am for Nylon. If them say "oga bring am make I put am for Nylon" I go say " Oga no worry I go put am for my bag!! Nylon too plenty for my house" Omo I did all these make dem no go change the clothe wey I buy to leggings abeg! grin grin

As I was done I come dey bounce, comot my phone for my pocket put am for my bag inside inside! Come carry my small padlock lock my bag come put the key inside my pocket close to my scrotal sack! grin come bone like say I smoke Weed and SK! Come bounce they go where I go take keketo park. Omo ehhhhhhh the market too big I missed my way!! Omo I no send I still waka I dey form. Omo no be person tell me make I calm down ask for Directions ooo grin grin I had to ask then I was directed Omo the road I used to enter the market wasn't the same road I used to get out! I heard the market is the largest in West Africa.

I took keke to Peace park! I told the keke man to stop me b4 peace park so those touts no go begin drag my bag use style thief my things. I dropped then come bone again! begin bounce like All these touts dey bounce. I entered Peace park I come observe hmmm they were coordinated so I asked them "Enyia!!! Eleh way!!! Abakaliki Egoleh" ( My Friend how far? How much is Abakaliki!!) I asked in a toutish tone they told me #900 I left them went to 5 other parks na the same price , some where cheaper but I no trust them those ones fit stop me for Road jakpa with my money! So I went back to peace park , paid and took a seat. Passengers weren't much so the bus didn't Leave on time Omo I arrived Ezzamgbo in Abakaliki around past 11pm Omo liver cut me oo! Omo I bone because from the IZIAH GIRLS JUNCTION wasn't far from the Corpers lodge.

I started bouncing! I bone everywhere dark. Then as I got closer to the house I heard a sound for my back!!! Omo I tear race Oh!! 400 METERS SENIOR BOYS!!! grin grin grin I got home opened my door then thanked God for a successful journey, brought out my phone saw 23 missed calls from my babe then called her , ate and slept off.

FamilyRe: Should Husband And Wife Have A Joint Account? by lordally(m): 12:41pm On Jul 11, 2021
Yusufisraelj:
Nope,this your submission doesn't follow.

Every relationship is unique, to that effect every family should deal with what works for them.

1. A family may do well when the woman handles finances, so the joint account is overseen by the woman and she gives a statement of credits and spending by month end.

This will work in a setting where the man is a high risk taker there by a good earner and doesn't do well with savings, most times you'll find men like this settling with ladies who's risk appetite is not as much as theirs and handles money better.

2. A family will do well if the man happens to manage finances better than the woman, he earns well and equally handles money better than the woman, so in this case the woman makes a budget and bring to him, he then funds it.

Above all, trust should be built in all long term relationships and everyone should be open and seek the best interest of the relationship rather than self.
Maturity at its PEAK!!

Library and Information Science is a very good course with ever growing opportunities. Just use the Internet to know what they can do. Nigeria affects it, like other courses, but it is still one of the courses topping the chart of employed graduates in Nigeria. According to a 2018 research, it is only second to Medicine and Surgery.
