qwertyboss: .........1 .......1 1 ......1 2 1 .....1 3 3 1 ....1 4 6 4 1 ..1 5 10 10 5 1 .1 6 15 20 15 6 1 Above is the Pascal's triangle. So we are going to use the row 1 4 6 4 1 as our coefficient for the expansion. Since it's power four in (2a+3b)⁴ Hence: (2a +3b)⁴ = 1*(2a)⁴ + 4*(2a)³(3b) + 6*(2a)²(3b)² + 4*(2a)(3b)³ + 1*(3b)⁴ =16a⁴ + 96a³b + 432a²b² + 216ab³ + 81b⁴
The coefficients of (A + B)**5 are 1 5 10 10 5 1 The coefficients of (A+ B)**6 are 1 6 15 20 15 6 1
Oyya bless my azza WEMA Bank:7811737820 Unfortunately there was a mistake in your calculation. I am surprised no one caught it. 432 should be 216. The concept is correct but computation wrong. |

steady986: Stephen A saying the GOAT conversation is officially over because of what transpired this season is the most laughable thing ever . It just shows you how LeBron is held to a different standard from everybody who ever played the game of basketball. A 37-year old man in his 19th season who was on and off because of injuries, who was also missing his sidekick for more than half the season. Lmao. Where was MJ in his 19th season? That's right. He was eating cheese cakes and getting fat on his couch. Like I don't get. The same standard LeBron was held to at 27 is still the standard he's held to at 37. I know he's superhuman but come on Excuses, excuses excuses. Mate, you should be less loquacious this period. What an embarrassment. Not even a top 10 team in the western conference; and to think they were one of the favourites to win it all this year coupled with the now infamous “keep that same energy “ remark from LBJ make it ridiculous. Dude, the World is just keeping that same energy and you should very quiet !. MJ wizards even had a better record than the superstars-populated Lakers! |

A ship 'A' steaming due north at 10 km/hr sight at noon, a second ship 'B' in a direction due east and 1⅔ km away, steaming north east at 8 km/hr. Calculate to the nearest degree the bearing of A from B at 12:15 pm. Check the algebra I did it in a hurry but I think it should be correct

steady986: Nobody is comparing AD to Giannis at this point. We all agree Giannis is greater than him.
But we know in this league everything has to fall in place for you to be successful. There's a thin line between failure and success. You're saying AD had Jrue Holiday and didn't achieve anything with him. Really? Did you see how Jrue was unreliable in these playoffs? The only year AD had Rondo he made the second round of the playoffs, sweeping Dame in the first round. That was a taste of what you get when you give AD a decent player. That was the same season he had Cousins but obviously he didn't play in the playoffs due to injury.
I asked you if you think AD would have had more playoff success in the East and you said no. But you're not being fair. The west is a different beast. It's almost impossible to make the playoffs as a lone superstar, let alone do well in it, especially if your sidekick is average or below average, or if you have a shitty team. Ask Curry this season. Ask KAT. Heck ask Zion who's a generational talent. Believe you me, as the west is presently constructed, if Zion doesn't get a decent sidekick, he wouldn't make the playoffs until his rookie contract expires. And AD never even dreamt of having the kind of team Zion has now. Look at Luka, he can't make it out of the first round.
No one is exonerating AD, he probably could have done better, but his situation at New Orleans was undesirable. Yet an Eastern team won the championship. Guy read carefully what you have written and tell me if strong headache no go catch you. |

wip7: Hello,
Research area/studies in both Energy storage (Fuel Cell) and sensors (electrochemical/biosensor) are an emerging field of studies with practical and industrial applications.
Since you don't have background knowledge in either; I encourage you to spend time to know each of this field. There is a plethora of information about each that you can google to have some basic understanding.
After you make your decision on which of the fields you want to focus your research, visit ScienceDirect, Google scholar etc; search for recent works 7 years to date and check for common drawbacks, challenges and how you can contribute to the selected field.
Every PhD applicant and candidates must be able to search for information via the right channels, try to make sense of it and come up with sound justifications.
After you are done, you can write your PhD proposal and then if you need further help don't hesitate to share here so many can also assist.
Best wishes! Hi wip7, After you finished your PhD, were you confused as to which direction to go? I am presently in that phase. I need some mentoring from you please. |

steady986: That's a two time scoring champion you're underestimating. Russ closes sometimes, KD closes sometimes. They're both elite players. As against a four times scoring champion in Kevin Durant , who by the way has significantly higher field goal percentages in both two points and 3 points and a significantly better free throw shooter. Tell me why anyone who has a functioning head on his or her shoulders would prefer Westbrook closing than Durant?. It is incomprehensibly inane. |

Eruditor, I do not want you to delete your account. However, never make outlandish promises you cannot keep. How can you boldly say Warriors will win AFTER clearly seen that Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson were hurt and the Raptors were 3:1 up. Common man you can do better. |

cutegentility: Answer:
1.The actual shape of the earth is an oblate spheroid but from space it looks like a perfect sphere. 2. Venus is the hottest planet Oh I know it is not perfectly spherical (it is wider at the bottom than it is at the top), but saying it is spherical is a good approximation. So I would argue it is somewhat correct. As for Venus being the hottest planet albeit not the closest to the sun, I think that is only true when we talk about average temperature. This means that Mercury has a higher peak temperature than Venus, but also has lower temperature than Venus, due to Mecury's vanishingly small atmosphere as against the thick atmosphere found in Venus: the greenhouse effect ultimately increases the temperature. Hence, while it is true that on the average Venus is the hottest planet in our solar system, Mercury records the highest temperature. Thanks cutegentility for your response. |

Tpappie: That was exactly my problem. Someone gave me to solve and I just got stuck there. I even tried using compound angle formula, it didn't work. I tried solving simultaneously, I got xCosA as 7 and ySinA as 1. Thanks a lot though U re welcome. |
Education › Re: Nairaland Mathematics Clinic by lordbeans(m): 12:56pm On Aug 25, 2018 |
Tpappie: Please can you explain why it is wrong? Squaring both sides of the equation gives x 2cos 2A + y 2sin 2A + 2xycosAsinA =64......(1) x 2cos 2A + y 2sin 2A - 2xycosAsinA =36......(2) Add (1)+(2), gives 2x 2cos 2A+2y 2sin 2A=100......(3), hence the only way x 2+y 2=100, is if cos 2A=1/2 and sin 2A= 1/2; which only occurs when A=pi/4. so I think I should have said that the question is only true when A=pi/4. |
