ocnovakmichael: LordReed,
The Spirit of the Lord says unto you, 2 Corinthians 13:1 [1]This is the third time I am coming to you. In the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established.
If you fail to believe the testimony of God, is it the testimony of man that suit to salve your conscience? Here the words of the Spirit unto you LordReed: Hebrews 4:2 [2]For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.
If God, through signs and wonders, has proven that He's able to make limbs grow and you believe not God's testimony. Is it me a mere man that you would believe? The Lord says to you LordReed, "To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts."
You see, the words that I write unto you are not of my own testimony but of God's. Yet, if you chose to be ignorant, the Bible says "But if any man be ignorant, let him be ignorant" (1 Corinthians 14:38). If you see and hear the truth, you will know it. But if you insist not to embrace the truth, even if the truth comes to you with a read hat on, you will not recognize it.
In the long run LordReed, God doesn't have to prove himself to you. Rather, you have to show yourself approved unto God by believing His testimony. Now hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Romans 3:3-4 [3]For what if some did not believe? shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect? [4]God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged. The truth is even if all the Christians in the world gather together, fast and pray for an amputee's limb to be restored, it will not happen. |

ocnovakmichael: LordReed, thanks for pointing out these facts in the Bible. However, you should understand that faith is acting as if the word of God is true. Naaman was told to wash in the river Jordan, he did as he was told and was healed. His act was an act of faith. Those who were healed in Bethesda pool, acted in faith by jumping into the river when the angel turn the waters.
The man who was raised from the dead by Elisha's bones is the result of the faith of those who buried him close to Elisha's bones. It was reported at that time that the bones of the prophet could raise a dead man: and so the dead man's friends acted in faith and buried their friend close to Elisha and the man was resurssitated. The man who Peter healed was healed by the faith in Jesus' name. After his healing Peter said Acts 3:16 [16]And his name through faith in his name hath made this man strong, whom ye see and know: yea, the faith which is by him hath given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.
You see, Lord Reed, every one of those healed, received by faith. If it was simply acts indicating faith then there'd be no person who prayed who would still be sick since prayer is an act of faith just like Jesus said, whoever prays believing would receive. You always bring up excuses why this doesn't work. If it had happen today that Naaman went very reluctantly to the river, if it hadn't worked you would be claiming he didn't have faith. How could the people running for their lives and dumping a dead boby they were going to bury been doing an act of faith? If they believed why they going to bury the body instead of going directly to Elisha's grave get the person revived? Look you just going to keep making up excuses. Go restore an amputee's limb, let's see if you can and when you fail stop dodging reality. |

ocnovakmichael: It takes faith to get anything from God. LoLz. It's funny how you guys always place the things you can't or don't want to explain in unseen realm where you can easily interpret it any way you please, much like the Wizard of Oz. What faith did Naaman the Syrian general show? The people who where getting healed in the Bethesda pool what faith did they need? The dead man revived by Elisha's bones what faith did he have? The paralysed man beside the pool what faith did he display? The begger Peter healed what faith did he show? Your own Bible stories make your pronouncements look silly. |

Christianity Etc › Re: How An Amputee Could Receive A Miracle. by LordReed(m): 9:47am On Dec 27, 2023 |
ocnovakmichael: This article was born out of a demand from one of my eminent readers on a topic I wrote "Strange Powers Resident in the body of Christ."
One of my readers with the pseudonym LordReed, in a commentary, said: "Use this so called power to give an amputee their limb back."
1 Corinthians 12:7-10 7. But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. 8. For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom, to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit, 9. To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; 10. To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues.
What an amputee needs is the working of miracles. However, let me start by establishing that with God, nothing is impossible. And the same power and authority resident in Christ Jesus is in the church, as the corporate anointing. The Bible teaches that, "Do you not know and understand that you [the church] are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwells [permanently] in you [collectively and individually]?" (1 Corinthians 3:16) The church has the experiential power through the manifestation of the Spirit to restore an amputees' feet. However, the amputee must meet two annex conditions. That is, first, the amputee must be willing to receive a miracle: because God cannot do anything without your will. "If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land" (Isaiah 1:19). Also, still emphasizing on the will, the Lord Jesus asked, the man who had an infirmity for thirty-eight years, the question: "... Wilt thou be made whole?" (John 5:6). Second, the amputee must be in a place where the manifestation of the Spirit is preached: because it is in that atmosphere that God will confirm His word. "And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen" (Mark 16:20).
You see, in Jesus' day, when the people heard he was in a certain place, they carried the lame, the weak, the diseased to him to be healed because it is in that place that the Spirit is in manifestation. The power of God is in every church, so to speak. Yet, there're certain ministry where certain type of manifestation is prevalent. I want you to understand here that the place atmosphere, where the Spirit of God is in manifestation, is very imperative. "And it came to pass on a certain day, as he was teaching, that there were Pharisees and doctors of the law sitting by, which were come out of every town of Galilee, and Judaea, and Jerusalem: and the power of the Lord was present to heal them. And behold, men brought in a bed a man which was taken with palsy: and they sought means to bring him in, and lay him before him [Jesus]" (Luke 5:17-18).
Notice in that last text two important phrases, "The power of the Lord was present to heal them," and "Men brought in a bed a man." The manifestation of the Spirit, the gift of healings and working of miracles" is always present in certain place/ministry; and men have to bring in the sick into that atmosphere to be healed and/or to receive a miracle. Jesus' question to that man, who had an infirmity thirty and eight years show that sometimes your outer condition want to be healed but your inner conviction says otherwise. In the end, one who needs healing or a miracle, my advice, should by every means, look for a living church where the manifestation of the Spirit is preached: for it is in that atmosphere that one could receive one's healing or miracle.
There are reported cases of amputated limbs being healed, besides several biblical accounts. I remember a story in which one of my sister who had had hysterectomy, that is, her womb was removed. But after she was prayed for by the laying on of hands. She went to the same hospital to do her monthly scan; and the same doctor who performed the hysterectomy, who told her and the husband they could never be parents, said he cannot understand why they're seeing a womb in the scan result. And today both my sister and the husband had children. Also, I remember a story in which Smith Wigglesworth an English preacher, felt led to tell a man with no legs to go buy shoes. When the man put his peg-leg into the first shoe, a leg instantly grew out! The same happened for the second shoe. I also recently heard a testimony of a young man in South Africa who–if I remember correctly–was missing his right leg. After prayer, the leg began to grow, although very slowly. After a couple weeks, a knee cap had formed. When I heard the testimony, it was a few weeks after that, and the leg had grown down as far as the ankle. In another case, I heard of a woman without a jawbone who received prayer in Mexico. When the minister returned the next year, he didn’t recognize her because God had grown a new one for her!
These are admittedly hearsay testimonies that I haven’t personally witnessed, but I believe they’re true. Why shouldn’t I? The only reason to disbelieve such stories is that you don’t believe God can actually do them.
If you don’t believe that God can heal an amputated limb, then you’re serving the wrong god.
My God can do all things.
How about yours?
Think about that!
Read, comment, share.
Do not hoard knowledge, propagate it!
Jesus is Lord! Dude this is just an attempt at an exercise in excuses. Even your bible says Jesus healed people who weren't seeking him out sowhere is that so called healing power when it comes to amputees? No where to be found because it doesn't exist. |

I've been following a couple of these threads for a while.
I can't help but salute your patience. One of the reasons I've lost motivation to post on here is because it's like talking to a brick wall.
Certain people here who I won't mention, are more interested in just saying something.. anything.
Even when proven blatantly wrong, they just run away from the thread only to repeat their debunked concepts somewhere else.
It's not easy dealing with these. I salute you Chai, even you got tired?! But seriously it's no fun showing someone that they are wrong with ample evidence and them just ignoring all of that to cling to debunked nonsense. No fun at all. |

Dtruthspeaker: Look at it, sex is the only thing and place where we have restriction.
Considering The Law in Genesis 2 before The Law in Exodus, we were free in all things eg we were free to eat food,, clothes, travel, relating with people from any tribe, cars, houses, animals etc
But the only thing that we are not allowed to do is to have sex.
The Commandment even Said "Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.
And it is in sex that we tell our liitle children as they are growing "Do not let anybody touch you ooh"
It is in sex we say "no dey touch my pikin like dat/i no like how you dey touch me"
It is in sex and for sex that you will hear women say "if you touch me, you go die"
It is in sex that touching is also cheating in marriage.
And it is in sex thst you are not allowed to have sex outside your marriage. Dtruthspeaker: Efribody don see wetin i talk and all of dem no ask me about sex with my wife because dem know say e no correct. So na you wey because the thing dey pepper you and you no fit bear am kon dey talk off off point dey try to dey use magu-magu to take bend am to talk about me and my wife.
Now your eye don see pepper tire as you still no find any valid thing to talk despite all your scam and fraud! Loserlord! hianhahabahahahahahahaha! Dtruthspeaker: And this is where you see that female Adam aka Eve had sex with Satan.
And that Satan was her first! And we know the importance of "the first" aka the statement "women never forget their first'.
And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat,
Have we not seen that women are indeed moved by the penis when they eye it?
Secondly, 'she took of the fruit and ate it" So whose fruit was she eating here for clearly it was not her husband's own?
And the next line tells us that "and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat"
Which shows she "ate" first and it was after her "eating" that she gave her husband to eat.
And note the word "she gave her husband"
Clearly, in her first, "she took" meaning someone was giving it to her just as we see how that she is now the one who gives to her husband. This statement already shows you are Dliespeaker when you say this is only about Adam and Eve. Bwahahahahaahaha! |
