Hello Mr Justwise and Mr DisGuy. I love this section so much. Kudos to you guys.

The reason I reach out to you is because there's no thread for Nigerian community living in the UK on nairaland. But if there is such thread, direct me to it, and this one can be taken down.
As we all know major jobs in the UK is care and most of us wants to relocate to the US for better, how do we begin and can we get a job offer from here into care jobs or based on what we studied? Or does it require us into applying for another masters degree program.
Please what's the best way of relocating from UK to the USA for those of us who has finished school and doing care jobs in the UK.

There doesn’t seem to enough information about what I am about to ask. I learnt your degree must be related to your work experience. I have a Masters in Labour and relations and I have experience working as an Account Manager in a Fintech. Do I qualify for the 189,190 Visa?

OP, not everyone is destined to travel out. If it's part of your destiny of you will.

Not everyone that travelled out that make it big. Japa doesn't me the antidote against misfortune nor antidote to fortune.

Despite all odds, wherever will find ourselves may everything be easy for us.

Some have traveled and regretting taking the action while some are happy to travelled out and make it big.

I've made a several attempts to travel out but still didn't work out . I stopped disturbing myself with the hope that one day by God's Grace my Japa will come with ease unexpected.

Either here or there, I pray for an endless success.

I've lost hope since Jonathan era in politicians.

Be it Obi or Atiku or Tinubu are the same thing. Same wine in different bottles
Stop discouraging people because it didn’t work for you. Sit down and compile a list of the reasons why you haven’t been able to Japa and what strategies you can use in making it a success this time around. Goodluck.

Here is a thread I painstakingly created not long ago just to motivate guys like you to put more effort in your Japa hustle.

Unfortunately, the mods, Justwise and DisGuy have refused to push it to front page filled with mediocrity.

Another reason we could be disinterested in sharing our experiences here from the US.

Hi, pls can you link me with a canada recruitment agency that recruits foreign workers? I have been applying for Admin jobs on Job bank and no responses thus far. I work as an Account Manager in a Fintech in Nigeria and don’t mind starting from the bottom in canada with menial jobs, so long as they offer LMIA.

Just have it in the back of your mind that this route requires patience. Maybe your agent didn't tell you. Even though it's 99% sure that you will get a work permit (temporary foreign worker), you will have to wait for a minimum of 2years. Just get your upfront medical, a bogus POF, do your Wes evaluation (for PR process),learn skills and get certified while you wait.

I can 92% assure you that with a job and positive LMIA, it would be approved. It's just that the approval would take about 1 year. It's not 100% because human errors dey occur too like falsified or unprovable history etc
1 year? Will the employer be able to wait for you to come from Nigeria to Canada? Can you pls clarify? Cos this is not really clear.

Just apply n hope for ppr. The good thing is even if you miss the conference you can still use the visa for another conference or tourism.

Only health is priority, they’ve added family reunification too. That doesn’t guarantee anything too sha. What stage is your application in?
I am just about starting, cos the conference people have sent me letter, but ono the stories I have being reading is not enough to have your heart in your mouth.

Conference isn’t a priority, they won’t expedite the process. You can send mails n Webform as remainder. Missing the conference doesn’t affect application decision, you can go for another conference after approval.
Haaaaa what then is a priority to Canada now?
Cos I am clearly going there for serious business cry cry

Hi All, who here is going via the conference route or has gone through it before and how fast can they speed up the process, so that the visa does not come out after the conference?

What you are talking about is CONNECTS.

After you exhaust your 50 free connects, you can buy more or wait for 10 monthly free connects. You also get connects when you are interviewed for a job.

1) Only apply for verified payment jobs.
2) Apply to clients with a high hiring rate.
3) Apply very early. Less than 5 proposals or at worst, 5 to 10 proposals.
4) Boost your chance of an interview invitation by writing a very good proposal and attaching your portfolio as a Google link.

Yes, I have.

Then you can increase the batteries.
get a generator set and a laptop powerbank.

I use Airtel and Smile for now. No issues so far.
Any ideas on how much the laptop power bank will cost?

You Just Have To Be Good At Even Supposed Easy Jobs…

I have gotten to learn that no job is as easy as we think. You only think it is easy because you are not required to do it professionally and you see someone skilled in it doing it effortlessly.

Many people jump into customer service because they think it is that easy, but they can’t address customer complaints like a professional. A Nairalander asked the prospects for a remote customer support officer in Nigeria and this was my response to him…

How are you able to provide 24hrs light? Do you use laptop power bank? We have solar in our house, but sometimes the battery can disappoint and doesn’t last up to close of work hours. Also what internet subscription do you use that is really strong? I use Airtel but they disappointed during one of my interviews and their poor network lasted about 2 hrs after the interview.
