Pidzo: NIGCOMSAT satellite broadcasting can generate N20bn monthly

The MD of Nigerian Communications Satellite Limited (NIGCOMSAT), Timansaniyu Ahmed-Rufai, has said that it can generate N20billion monthly through its direct-to-home (DTH) satellite broadcasting.

According to Nigeria's Leadership newspaper, Ahmed-Rufai said: “NIGCOMSAT has the capacity to create 100,000 jobs in the country in just a year if the various products developed by it were fully bought into by the government. Also the DTH satellite broadcasting, which was developed and produced totally by NIGCOMSAT’s engineers, would enable viewers to receive a minimum of 200 to 300 channels and would make satellite broadcast available in the rural and semi-rural areas where cable is difficult to install.”

Manipulation of the audio button on 4669xii doesn't help any in resolving sound issues on eGhana on Amos5. I guess eGhana have to take care of that at their end except if there are some guys getting sound loud and clear.

Second. Viasat1 doesn't come up when 12552v19631 on Astra2b is scanned. Is it on right now?

Try Amos5 which is just about same location with W3C. Use 12605H30000 and blind scan. You can even hit both sats. My RDV and LCF are showing kampke!!

Ku or c-band? For ku-band, xcept u have Canal+ card with either a strong '69x or xii or canal+ stb, then forget that direction for there are just 3 fta channels there. For C-band, papa, I don try all i fit but i neva hit green o. some tin wen i b d catch very e z b4 don bekom wahala. I really need d tracking tp because trying to track with that of cnn is givin' me migraine.

EW3C has channels broadcasting on mpeg4, e.g the tp: 10803H30000 can only be received using any brand of either mpeg4, DBV-S2 or HD receiver not necessarily of the Strong brand of receivers while Amos5 e.g 12560H30000 carries channels broadcasting on DVB-S mpeg2 which can be picked up by your hitv decoder. Have I scored with you? I hope so!

STV2 (Spectrum Television based in and broadcasting from Douala not 2STV from Senegal) is on EW3C 16 degrees east with tp: 10803H30000 (vpid:3721 and APID:3722) and on Amos5 tp: 12560H30000 and same vpid and apid like on EW3C. Hope this helps.

Check EW3C @ 16 degrees East for your free RDV, LCF and many others (Canal2 International, STV, Boom TV, Golfe TV, Wassaman TV, just to name a few).

STV2 will show Champions League this season and the European super cup on Friday at 7pm.

Yes it is possible. The trick lies on your lnb skew. Place ur lnb at 7pm of the clock while facing the dish. Use 12605h29950 to track Sirius 4, then bring your elevation slightly down and slightly to the left. Input the 12728v30000 and test to see if green comes up for W3A. Tweak around like that and I guess u'll hit pay dirt.

Man, I've done my worst and my best to no avail. NSS5 C-band seems out of my reach. Please, can you help me with the skew of your lnb? I changed the positions of the plexiglass in the throat of the lnb but no change. Regards.

Zeetry: Lovala, c band signals are easy to get, just play with d di electric plate inside d lnbf and u are good to go.

I dey live for Cameroon and cannot fathom a wild guess. I once asked a dealer here in Yaounde and his response was between FCFA180,000 and FCFA200,000 (i.e between 53,300 and 59,220 naira). Better check up what gives at Alaba or let a fellow member up in Kano fill you in on the price. Then, you'll have to deal with hauling cost. Better check around your neighbourhood and buy any old one that has been abandoned. That's what I am planning to do here for there are some dishes abandoned when the setup box technology moved from analogue to digital (and the emergence of ku band signals creating a migration towards small dishes) leaving the owners of many of such big dishes confused and assuming that the fault of non reception of signals came from the big dishes.

If at all MultiTV really grab the rights to air those EPL matches and if they also get to start showing the SA serieses, then they'll make sure that their promo lingo, "Just Thrills" become activated as in, we'll have to contend with the monthly bills aspect which have been sniped out. Just a matter of time. So, fellas if you haven't yet secured a 3m dish to point towards the juicy West/East then better start looking for one fast for the free days of MultiTV is fast ticking to a halt.

Talking about the numbered days of mulyi tv, I concur 100 percent. But, e b like say the guys dey suffer from indecision. Dem dey still decide to make up dia mind weda or not to go pay tv. They know what will happen eventually if they thread that path. Let them take another look around at those who tried and where it has led them. There is just one GIANT who's sucked up every other avenue for any pay tv bouquet that can ply the sub saharan market and that is BB. In Cameroon, Canal+ per se doesn't exist. They've sold up to Cameroonian reps running the show and cable operators are not making things easy for them either. The one small luck they have is that they are carrying french programmes in their packages else, they'd have gone under due to the super tricks of dstv. So, I know that the time will come when Myultitv will start asking for monthly bills since they decided to remove that aspect from their promo advert. We dey wait!!
