Any one who wishes to know,the Satellite carrying Press TV signals barred their operations because of refusal to conform by editing images of the Syrian crises before diffusion. So, don't hold your breath expecting to see Press TV signals any time soon except if Iran launches its own satellite.

You'll require a BUD (Big Ugly Dish) to track that sat. At least 2.4m for satisfactory reception. The fella who was all hung on watching TV3 should take note but make sure he uses an mpeg 4 dvb-s2 stb for it.

Better contact TV3 Ghana directly 'cos I don't think any one in this forum will profer you a solution to that problem. Else, get DSTV kit and enjoy TV3 Ghana from within their set of channels. Another option would be to contact the Chinese or their subsidiaries somewhere out here in Africa for some dark boxes which can help you do the trick. Na so ee dey o!!

27 channels in the Belgian based 12605H300000 tp are showing including XXL which has a dollar sign and will switch on in the night at around 10 or 11 thirty. Use DVBS2 MPEG4 and HD decoders to view. Rock it while it last for it is epheral and has the life span of a snow ball in hell.

I have taken note of that and I pray next week when I return home to Cameroon I'll check Sylverbird out. Here, my friend is hooked unto DSTV and due to preparations and organizing his marriage we haven't really had time to discuss issues in that direction given he isn't an fta freak. The marriage did pass well and we are now basking in the afterglow of their love as they prepare to take off on their honeymoon.

Yes, really. Things are actually looking up on 36E. And, these channels are not the usual DSTV channels which
are left temporarily FTA just to tease peeps and then when interests begin to whip up, they get locked just as
suddenlly. These ones are here to stay.

For Silverbird TV, I think they've finally realised that they could do so much more by breaking out of the shadows
of DSTV hence their decision to transmit through an unencumbered transponder. If you noticed, they're on the
same tp with CCTV and that itself speaks volumes.


As for the CNN, TBN, Aljazeera, etc package, this seems to be an initiative of Agape Television Network broadcasting
from Tanzania. Looks like the exclusivity agreement which CNN had with DSTV has finally elasped and hence peeps
should look forward to seeing more CNN packages pop up across the sub-region in the near future.

Thankx for ur take on the new developments on 36 East. Pray they come to stay. In the days of C band analogue satellite tv popularity CNN, TV4 and CFI where very free and popular until things went ditital as in DigitalSTV got in the way and pulled down everything. Anyways sha, we'll always survive.
