KTN is back on AB3 while STV1 and 2 seem to have buried their heads into the sand.

Thanks Gadotor, Obnelly and Williams85 for your comments, The issue is not colour settings on My television set. I Used an LCD screen with a particular picture Mode(VIVID) The source being Koan decoder and strong 4669x and the input is through RCA cable(Not HDMI or Component) The decoder resolution was set to 1080p for the two respectively. The distinction is very clear, i also experimented with different Video players(Sony,Lg) within my reach on the same standard Picture mode on Television. There is a great difference on the display.
If there are other members of the forum who might have had similar experiments with other receivers, please share i cherish good pictures aside receiver's capabilities.

Could it be that the kaon is a fake? I saw a strong 4663x one time which not only had such color problems but also had bad aspect ration problems as well.

bro. i just did what u advised now, but that mbc tp is showing red but once i input 12728v30000, it goes to 73%. really wondering y my own is different. also checked astra 4 tp and its showing 71%.

Delete the tp for MBC. turn off your receiver. Input the tp and check to see if there is any improvement. MBC most often goes red between 11am and 2pm with me. So, just try it. I guess with such a high quality, your MBC will pop out. Remember, if you blindscan, your MBC may go red. So, u might want to input your values manually. Nice day and happy hunting. My 63x is "bricked", so I am having some difficulties for the moment.

I want to know if there is any Technology that can help to broadcast the signal from Satellite cable like DSTV or FTA wireless to 40 TVs or more TV within a campus and hotel rooms i don't mind if each TV must have a receiver terminals attached or just antennae

my people. i have finally tracked w3a on my 90cm dish. got a signal quality of 70- 75% on 12728V30000. but my major problem

right now is that blind-scanning w3a brings out the same stations as blind-scanning sirius 4 tp as both of them is showing

green in my present position and the most important of all, i am not getting any of the mbc channel. pls i need to know what i

am doing wrong. thank you.

If the 75 persent quality is for 12728v30000, then, just input 11191v3206 and it will pop out, GREEN. else, you may be scanning 12605v29950 for Sirius 4a and as such u can't pick any of the Rodrigues.

done everything I can with my 65cm dish and 12437V23437 and Hi tv is refusing to pop green. wetin dey happen?

Once you've got the signal, the rest is up to you. tweak ur lnb or move your dish up and down and side to side to get something higher. Also, if ur dish is less than 90cm don't expect much. You may also chang your lnb. I've not used it yest but I hear tell that Tokyosat lnb is marvelous. try it and give us your feedback. here in Yaounde it costs just FCFA2000 about 525 naira there in Naija.

If I am not mistaken,this channel was there for some time now, with a different name by AFFEX TV and suddenly change to CAMTEL
after you have your system rescanned. That is what I noticed because the AFFEX is no more, we now have CAMTEL with the same content.

I discovered that it is easier tracking W3A wth my LNB skewed to 7pm of the clock while the polarity is Vertical. First track Sirius or Astra 4a with your lnb at 9 o'clock and your polarity vertical. note that sirius is towards the setting sun although i sometimes pick it from the east with even higher quality. once u hit it, let ur dish stand and input 12728V30000 for W3a and skew your lnb to 7pm. lover the dis gently and to your left while standing behind d dish.

CAMTEL is Cameroon Telecommunications and Zmengue is some where in the Littoral region of the country and is the site for up and down link for the CRTV (Cameroon Radio and Television). I am yet to switch my dish to EW4/7 to peek at it. I am also surprised that Camtel is broadcasting on Satellite. That is a nice surprise.

I took lots of time lookin for satellites to be lunched and beamed in our dear county nigeria and neighbour ghana,
Its very interestin.
Arabsat 5c @20* east to be lunched today, and its c-band beam passed through nigeria .
Next to be lunch is atlantic bird 7 @ 7*west on 22nd of this month,
It now time for big brothers to stop marginalizing us!

we go only celebrate when the show begins and everything or most of the channels turn out to be awoof and for dishes below 1m so dat landord wahala no go come be our portion.

Hello house, is it true that mbc is not stable cos my installer tracked @ 7 deg east (i guess), scanned out tv zimbo, crtv and the rest but mbc refused to come out, was giving me excuses that the signal comes and goes. i av seen postings on w3a but i need to be sure if this installer just took me on a ride or if its  true. if not true, what can  i do on my own. the last time i tried practicalising some exciting things i learnt here, i could nt track w3a, may b i still need some info and skill. Used to be a follower of the original fta satellite threads until i lost internet connection for a while, on restoring it, i found it difficult to log in, had to register afresh now. dis is my first post. i want to try things out my self. please help.

let your quality jump up to atleast 66 or 68 and, as basket mouth says, gbam, u go just jam mbc's two Rodrigues.

I live in Yaounde Cameroon and I guess we should be sharing the playing field. If that be the case then my broda, except you want to perform some fta feat (which has already been done before) use 2.4m and above sized dish to avoid headaches!

Been a pretty long time. I had some problems here with my local ISP. For over two weeks we've been in cyber darkness so I couldn't hook up to my cherished site.
Just wanted to ask you and any other members in the house who are receiving AB3 if they've noticed the blackout on KTN. Have they migrated to another satellite or are they on a temporal break on that bird? If kungu can help us out here, I'll be so happy. Have a nice day, bro.

Well from what I understand from my people it will take over 3 weeks to solve this,but hey let's see what they come up with.

As of this moment, no dongle operates on any of the paid bouquets in sub sahara africa (between the Sahara and kalahari deserts). So, the answer to your question is none of the NSS7 paid channels are opened by these boxes even BMW-3 has been confirmed by pito to be down till further notice. Patience is the key word now!

Kungu, I guess it is still with dishes in the neighbourhood of 2.4m and above that we can hit this bird here in Yaounde Cameroon. Nice job though!

Some one has already tried the new upgrade for D and it wag its tail barking for a while and then calmly went to sleep. I guess the best bet is to either motorize your <=180cm dishes or get a phat dish planted to either of Hotbird, Nilesat or Badr to catch up with the equivalents of what our guys down south dish us everyday. Or dig deep beyond the surface the C - way.

hisoccer you may have a valid point. i have gone through this twice meself (the two ocassions being with 69xii). after the installations i spent more time on the diesec. i could not explain it, felt like a novice. (but i am thinking its more with the diesecs).

I guess there is a real problem with 69xii when it comes to the issue of using disecq switches to link up two or more dishes. I have been having this problem also even with the ends of the wires properly pruned and attended to. You get this one satellite coming thru and the other locking red. I change and use my 63x and everything is ship shape. Men, we gatta look in on this issue.

Sorry, this is the clarification

1. First track w4/w7 using 12437H23437 btw 65 - 75%, then tight the dish. insert this frequency 10975H29998. Raise your dish a little bit up, u will hit green (make sure u hit 85% to 89%, that is New dawn (32.8degree east) for you. That is also your primary focus, tight your dish completely.

2. Take another LNB, place it directly on top of the new dawn, use this frequency: 12437H23437, twist the LNB to almost 9am facing the dish, u will hit green, adjust the LNB ti hit btw 60% and 68%. First use a good tape to hold them very tight. That w3/w7 for u.

3. Take the 3rd LNB, place it direct under New dawn, twist to almost 3pm clockwisely, use this freq: 12551H19531 or 12543V20800, start moving the LNB swinging it to the Right and left until u hit green. It is very easy.

Remember that, u only track w4/w7 first 4 u to track New dawn.

Thnkx for your clarification. But I still got some issues here.
If I get your explanation well then it will mean that you are hitting Intelsat NewDawn at an elevation above EW4/7 just like I did. But, what doesn’t sink in with me is the fact that you have to place your lnb for EW4/7 above that of Intelsat NewDawn creating the semblance of Intelsat Newdawn having an elevation below that of EW4/7. If it won’t be of much troublem to you then I’ll like some explanation to this occurrence.

I can understand your pain . . but here is how to do it. . . before you make your post ,just when after you click on reply,in the new window where you are to type your information or remarks scroll down first to the user whose quotes you want to use,to the extreme right of that post you will see insert quote directly underneath the date of the user's post.click on it.A new small window will come up with a message 'retrieving quote'.

wait for the quote to be inserted into your post area then you can type your message below the user's quote.

I did hit Intelsat New Dawn using a 65cm dish with my 69xii. But, except for one portuguese channel, the rest were scrambled. I hear some one hear says although they have the dollar signs they are open. Nahhhhh! They are all giving out black screens. I hope that that's not they way the highly awaited satellite is going to Dawn on us. Else, it will be of great waste to the continent.
