Demmocrats:I was skeptical but according to Vanguard he might have a heart after all. http://www.vanguardngr.com/2015/12/okorocha-orders-payment-of-10-months-salaries-of-health-workers/ |
This is a very classy response from the elder Kanu. I appreciate this message. It might go a long way to cool the polity. Shout out to everyone who kept it peace out here. No need for more violence. We are all black. Let's show love. |
Five Permanent Secretaries arrested in connection with N2.985bn fraud in Niger State have admitted to committing the offence THISDAY has learnt. The Permanent Secretaries were arrested last week and detained on the orders of the Special Task force on the recovery of stolen public funds set up by the Niger State Governor, Alhaji Abubakar Sani Bello. A very reliable source close to the Task force also said the affected permanent secretaries have reached an understanding with the panel on how they would refund the stolen funds. However, they were said to have named other public officers, serving and retired, that benefited from the fraud asking the task force to go after them to collect the portion of the money that accrued to them. It was learnt that since they owned up to the offence, they were granted bail on Tuesday, to ‘enable them go and look for the money and pay back to the government. THISDAY further learnt that the affected officers said they were not in position to fish out two other suspects connected to the crime ‘since we are not policemen’. “The two other suspects have been on the run since the five permanent secretaries were arrested and efforts to apprehend them has not been successful, we will continue to go after them until they are arrested,” the source confided in THISDAY. Police Public Relations Officer, Bala Elikana, an Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), last week confirmed the arrest of the officers to THISDAY, saying that their arrest was due to the diversion of contract money to personal loans, adding that their arrest was also on the orders of the Special Task Force set up by government. Though Elikana said the Police was not involved in the investigation, it was learnt that all the security operatives in the state working together on the matter. www.thisdaylive.com/articles/five-perm-secs-in-niger-own-up-to-n3bn-fraud/228117/ |

$103 MILLION!?!? That's a lot of meatpies! |
astrodome:Of course not. It is only in the SE where the streets aren't paved in gold. The rest of our dear country is a modern marvel. Don't waste your time. |
Looking nice. |
This is a disgrace. Do away with white Jesus. |
texazzpete:Don't mind them. Haters will hate. |
I was with you until the near end. What did Igala people do wrong? ![]() |
PreyingMantis:1. When a man solicits arms from the Igbo world congress and has an amalgamated chart of "Biafra or death." Those are words of war. Nothing less. Please don't play coy. Be a man and stand on your square. Call a spade a spade. Don't back down. Don't poke and prod and put people into a corner and then cower when they retaliate. Where we come from a man has to answer not only for his actions but most certainly for his words. You and I both know this very well. 2. Sabo? Hardly! We are not being slaughtered like cattle. There are no progroms taking place. There is no blockade of food. There is no war against my homeland. My family fought bravely in the war. My lineage is decorated in ways I won't delve into on this board out of respect for my family staying in the East presently. I know there are fanatics out there who might attempt to bring them harm due to my posts. But believe you me aint no sucka in my blood. 3. GEJ's G-pa was an Igbo man. He "took" the last name Azikiwe. He presented himself as an Igbo man. Look at the okpu agu he wore in comparison to the ones for sale. He is a high degree initiate. Never again in your life question my heritage. That's unwise. How can a president appoint people from a region who aren't in his political party? Are Igbo APC members crying? NO! They understand that there is a job to be done. And the best hands are on board to do the jobs. Everyone has a part to play. Do we want the best results or do we just want to say "we" are involved? I don't care if he imports people from UmuOrji or Borno to get things on track. So long as they are Black Africans from Naija I'm cool. 4. Do you understand what it means when billions of dollars are missing? When every other day ghost workers are being discovered? When commissioners are being sent to prison for years due to embezzlement yes things are being handled well. This is a short term pain for a long term gain. Who allowed the Naira to slip over the past 6 years during an oil boom? Who looted the treasury like there was no tomorrow? How many contractors and workers are being owed payments? These are things that must be settled and sorted out. Long and short of it all is man I don't want trouble. I don't want problems. I want to see my family doing well. When I say family I mean yours and mine. When I'm anywhere else in the world and I see a fellow Nigerian it's all love. PALMS AND TEETH! But somehow when I get home we lose sight of that and we become Igbo, Hausa, Yoruba, Tiv, Fulani, Ijaw, etc. And when I hit the East it gets even crazier and now it's Delta Igbo, Rivers Igbo, Core Igbo, Forest Igbo, etc. I've been told by a man from Imo on another board that his people were superior to mine and that they used to sell my people from Nri. And people agreed with him. What kind of love is that? But these are the same people that want me to claim a new nation? This new found unity isn't real. We have real problems that we aren't addressing. We're throwing the baby out with the water and we don't have to. I know I may hit hard on here but it's usually only in self defense. Truth be told the spirit of the Biafran protesters is unconquerable but we already knew that. Do we have to get shot down in the streets to show that? Do we have to use hate speech when people disagree with us? Igbo people are valued in Naija. The fact that people don't want us to leave should show that. Look at how many elderstatesmen are saying they want an Igbo president come 2019. That's our cue to put our heads together and find an honest leader that we can put our power behind. Whether Obiano, Utomi or whoever there are good men and women from AlaIgbo who lead the country. I love when I go to other places that I'm almost certain I'm gonna see someone from back home. 1 out of every 4 Black Africans is from our country. That's power!! KWENU! |
What caused the change of heart? |
FRONT PAGE NOW! |
pesinfada:I'm not mad at anyone asking for freedom. All I want is for the people who are stoking the fire to be unmasked. PreyingMantis:60 million? That's a bogus claim and you know it! How can that be when many disowned the protests and attempt at sovereignty? How can that be so when many can't feed themselves daily? Please don't just throw out numbers it legitimizes the movement. vindisick:When people block an expressway, ask for arms, say they are building bombs, and claim they will make war zones look like paradise in comparison to what they will unleash yes they are inciting anarchy. That is a public threat and should be handled with extreme caution. Lugard my creator? You don't even believe that! Ekenne diri CHUKWU! As always you've gone back to strawman tactics. Where have I said Kanu should be detained indefinitely? Don't worry I'll answer for you. I haven't. When did I say I was a man of the cloth? I didn't! Please just stop. You've been at this all day! |
pesinfada:straw man noun a sham argument set up to be defeated. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Straw_man Just stop! What does your question have to do with what I just proposed? Are you equating peaceful demonstrations with BH? Are you equating Kanu to Shekau? Your imbecilic vitriol is getting old very fast. You don't even know who to be mad at or why you are mad. All you know is you wanna be mad. Go ahead! Blame the world for your problems! Call your brothers baboons and monkeys! Support a man who called your mothers, aunts and sisters prostitutes. Support a man who called the black man Lucifer. Please rush to your demise. DO IT EXPEDITIOUSLY! |
vindisick:Color saturation most certainly applies to cloth due to the industrialization of the profession/craft. Those shirts aren't weaved. More times than not the color is achieved by the process of sublimating the ink into the fabric. Please just stop. Once again you've only revealed your lack of knowledge on this subject. I have time to address any and all who address me. I made a statement which you attacked with baseless assertions. Don't get frustrated and resort to elementary insults because you tested the waters with both feet. Take your loss and grow from it like an adult. Don't you dare call me wicked. I do outreach work for a living. I don't agree with my Igbo family on this issue but I'll never abandon those when truly in need. You're walking a dangerous walk when you provoke others as you do. Chill with the insults. It's leading no where and fast. |
vindisick:No one was addressing yo ole puss self but you now have my attention and will get this work. Anyone with decent schooling knows of color saturation but of course in your bid to feel big you have revealed your minuscule size. Please follow this link and educate yourself on the basic art term of which you are presently ignorant. http://www.webopedia.com/TERM/C/color_saturation.html You could have stayed away and been seen as having sense but instead you'll now be known as a fool. Never in a million years would I believe black people could or would call other black people monkeys and baboons but that's what happens when a college dropout leads a group. You gonna learn today! OH! YOU GONNA LEARN! |
YoundDoctor:This is just sad. You don't even understand sarcasm. I'm not into chastising people who are not well educated. I apologize. That's rude and unbecoming of me. Forgive me and accept my apology. |
YoundDoctor:The ideology is trash akin to any propaganda that scapegoats irritants rather than addressing core dominators. If they take up arms? See there goes the war talk yet again. But when people bring up the war everyone will say this is peaceful and about a referendum. One can't be the love-vendor and the prostitute. Thank you for the vote of confidence. I need all the luck I can get to find those sponsors. Because I "personally" am looking under every rock to search them out. ![]() YoundDoctor:In your bid to insult me you've only uncovered your terrible writing skills and inability to communicate. Thank you for clearing up my query. In my bid to treat you as a fellow human being you've revealed your beastly nature. I suppose that was my folly. Enjoy your misery. I see how well that's working out for you. ![]() |
The man went to the Igbo World Congress and solicited weapons. He's said he has men being trained in Ala Igbo as special forces. He's spoken of other war zones looking like paradise in comparison to what will be unleashed if Biafra is not established. He said there are engineers working on bombs to take the fight to the "zoo." So yeah he's more than invoked the images of civil war and stoked the embers of hate. The war talk is a byproduct if the radio broadcasts not a knee jerk reaction of people scared of secession of the SE. He continues to double speak. One day it's referendum. The next it is war. To say "Biafra or Death" is a blatant war chant. Let's not paint it as anything else. |
YoundDoctor:Forgive me if I appear daft in my next question I don't want to reply in error. What exactly is your post saying? |
YoundDoctor:As usual you've brought in your ally the tried and true strawman. I'm not going to dignify your questions because I was not talking about any of what you just wasted your time typing. By finding the sponsors we can find out why the agitations have hit a feverish pitch. We can find out if they were involved in shady business during the PDP regime. We can find out if they truly mean well for my people or if they are using us for their selfish advancement. Many questions need to be answered. Nothing just happens. Strings are pulled and buttons are pushed. We need to find the puppeteers and men/women behind the curtains. fabre4:Word? So everyone just so happens to make the exact same shirt style? We are just that in sync to have the exact same taste and style in uniform? Really? The marginalization has lead to a universal mind in which we all print the exact same shirt style, with the exact same quality, with the exact same color saturation regardless of continent? Is that what you are proposing? |
fabre4:So a determined spirit makes the shirts? Or is it the ideology that distributes them in Europe and Africa? Please enlighten us. Enquiring minds would like to know. |
