BreconHills:You all still don't get it. The people are being terrorise by the herders. The non-criminal herders are trampling on the people's farm while the criminal among them are kidnapping and raping our people. Despite it, the Governors refuse to do nothing. Absolutely nothing. Rather the herders are the one controlling our political elites. If they are not being control, we would have heard of this issue a long time. This issue has been happening a long time and they refuse to use their position to help the people all because of their political ambition. |
See them all! They have sold us out. See the they are pampering them at expense of the well being of the people who elected them into power. A regional party is badly needed now. |
yorubarere:He has that occasional conscience you can appeal to. Let those who can rein in the herders do so and make the forests and highways safe again. Let farmers be able to carry out their occupation without fear of kidnap , murder and rape. Let us find a modern and permanent solution to this issue of itinerant herding that pitches a group of Nigerians against the other. Let us not ethnicize criminality. A criminal is a criminal and a crime is a crime whether perpetrated by Fulani, Yoruba , Igbo, Ijaw , Junkun, Bachama or Ibariba. The bolded above is what blinded you into thinking this is not a Pr job and simultaneously a smear job. Let me disabuse your mind with three questions. Is the person who wrote the article not in the ruling party? Are they not part of the government turning blind eyes to what's going on? If the people who are in the ruling party don't have solution, is it you or me that will have solution? |
yorubarere:You should read the article again. Who's coming out smelling good in this article? That's the same person who sent them out on a Pr job. |
Very good! Let's continue raining curses on them. These leaders are sacrificing our interest on the altar of their ambition. |
Awon Olote!!!!! E ma te!!!! The smear campaign have started. Whether he was an ex-thug or not is irrelevant. What are the Governors doing about the herders terrorising our people? Your failure to enforce laws is the reason your smear campaign will fail. |
I am having a bad feeling about this. The Governor of Ondo State must ensure the herders leave the forest reserve. That's the only way this issue can be de-escalated. Let them leave. This is an opportunity for the Southwest Governors to ban open grazing in the Southwest. Any thing short of this is wahala. |
I hope our youths are watching. This is your time to shine! PDP and APC are national party. They will always pander to the herders. This is your time to shine. This is the time to get powers from them by playing local politics. Their flank are opened by their political greed. Two years is enough to get power from them using solutions to the herders as a campaign rally. |
That is leadership! |
tot:What EndSars protest. A protest to overturn our democracy. A protest to overturn an elected government. I don't support that kind of foolishness. Anything beyond the ballot box, count me out. |
Well said. He didn't only go through school, school also went through him. |
He should not talk took much. He should prepare for the next election. He has the characteristic of a leader. Action man. This is not a leader that know only how to talk. |
This is what's called governance! |
Brooklynsouth:He was a nobody until 2015. He became a star when Jonathan lost his election. |
Brooklynsouth:Can't you see the big different between Kanu and Sunday? I will tell you. Strategic. Sunday emerge to help his people. Kanu emerge because he wants to revenge the loss of Jonathan. One is based on leadership. The other one feeds on his people hatred. So please spare me the comparison. |
Good job to every single group rallying around Sunday Ighoho. This issue must not be swept under the carpet. This is the time for local and regional opposition parties to emerge using solution to this issue as a rallying point. |
nedu666:That's being short sighted. If you can't fight it now when their own kinsman is on seat, then you can't fight it when they are not seat without it being politicise. Don't they all remember what happened to Jonathan when Boko-Haram start killing people under his watch? It was used to demonised him. Now that their kinsmen is on seat, no one is talking. Please and please, the Yorubas in APC shouldn't play politics with our lives. |
You can condemn all you want but there is something that stood out for me in the video that shows the people of Ibarapa welcoming Sunday. Joy. A criminal or hoodlum can't elicit that kind of emotion. We are seeing a great leader in the making. Sunday Igboho has given you all a breathing room to do the right thing. Enforce laws to curtail the criminals in the midst of the herders. Most of our children are coming home from abroad to invest in farming. They need to feel safe. They need to know this country is worth investing in. They need to know when they invest, there will be recoupment. The consequences of not treating these issues with urgency will be catastrophic. |
Enough of big grammar. What is being done to curtail these issues? So far the only issue that I am seeing here is lack of political will. The government must set a boundary and there should be a way for us to registers all these herders through union. We must force them to unionised. Then in cases of trespass, the union can be held responsible. We have to disabuse their minds that they are above the laws. |
“ For several years, farm plundering was their full-time business which grew audaciously in leaps and bounds even as the Seriki Saliu ensured that no Fulani was prosecuted even for offences they were caught pants down perpetrating. With no disciplinary measures ever meted out to the now reverential Fulani herdsmen, their audacity has leapt in bounds from just grazing upon the sweats of Ibarapa farmers to maiming and lynching any farmer who dares raise a voice in deference to their destructive resolve.Ha! So nothing was done to curtail these issue before the emergence of Sunday? Then what's the work of Amotekun? Am I the only one in shock by all these news? |
Buhari should come and evacuate his people from our land, we don't want them again. They are just punishing the youths; they have turned us to nothing, why? The educated youth don't have jobs, nothing, the gain now is to kill and kidnap us. We are still on the unemployment issue, we have accepted our fate, should we not be in peace and enjoy security again? It's enough,” he said. The primary responsibility of a Governor is security. The Southwest Governors shouldn't turn the West into North o. Do not kill us in the name of one Nigeria. |
What I don't understand is the right these people have to go to other people's land with their cattles to graze. The way your cattle is a means of livelihood is the same way other people's farm is a means of livelihood. The emergence of Sunday is a failure of governance. We want the herders out of the SouthWest. If they cannot follow rules, we want them out by crooks or by laws. |
Ha!!!! What are the Governors doing? |
JuIiusmalema:No body can tell me that you are not working for the government. Tell your boss that they are playing a dangerous game. Tell your boss that in this age of social media, their lies can only last for a while. |
Buhari can afford to play with the lives of the Northerners and they will still see him has god. Sowoolu shouldn't join the federal government to play politics with our lives. All we want from the government is honesty. Where is Lagos? |
Where is Lagos? I have searching online and I couldn't find anything. |
dadavivo:Hmmmm! The Nigeria government is playing a dangerous game. They are playing the herd immunity game. The game Trump played in US. |
ityP:By the end of this month, we shall know our fate. |
ityP:You are just throwing up figures. Oya back it up with a scientific link. |
