MadeInTokyo: Sokoto State Governor Aminu Tambuwal on Wednesday sacked all his commissioners and asked them to hand government property to the permanent secretaries in their respective ministries, in a move that foreshadows his planned move to switch to the Peoples Democratic Party.
Malam Abubakar Shekara, Director General Media and Public Affairs in Government House, announced the dissolution in a statement.
Shekara explained that the dissolution would pave way for “restructuring and re-strategising the cabinet for optimum efficiency and service delivery to the people of State”.
The director-general said Gov. Tambuwal thanked the former commissioners for their dedication, sacrifice and loyalty to the administration.
According to him, the governor also expressed appreciation to the people for cooperating with and supporting the former commissioners towards achieving the success so far recorded. Gov. Tambuwal wishes the former Executive Council members success in their future endeavours,” he added.
But political pundits said the governor’s move may be connected with his plans to leave the All Progressives Congress and rejoin the Peoples Democratic Party.
Close watchers of the state said the governor does not enjoy the support of many commissioners, some of whom were nominated by former governor, Aliyu Wammako, who is now a senator, and who has vowed not to leave the All Progressives Congress.

ChangeIsCostant: Recently, Nigerian airline, Air Peace raised one of its pilots, Sinmisola Ajibola, to the rank of flight Captain. The promotion made her the airline’s first female captain as she's is from a family of pilots - father and four brothers, three of whom are with Air Peace.
The female pilot shared her story with Air Peace crew after the historic decoration.
CC: How do you feel becoming a captain?
CS: I’m very excited for this day, it’s a day every pilot looks forward to. I’m really excited and elated to experience this day.
CC: I can say you are from the home of pilots – your father, four brothers and now, you. What really is the interest here?
CS: (Hesitates) I remember growing up, I used to wear my dad’s hats and jackets, which used to be oversize for me, and say, “Oh I want to fly, oh I want to fly.” Then he just used to laugh and say: “Oh when you finish school (university) and you get your degree, then tell me again if this is still what you want.” Then, along the line, I would tag along on flights with him. Then my other brothers started the same thing: “We want to fly, we want to fly.” So, my dad made a joke that if he were into some other business, was that how we would all want to tag and follow him? But, all in all, I think basically, he contributed hugely to us being here today. We watched him, we admired him, he was a very good example for us. It was not hard, we did not have to think about it to want to follow his footsteps. It was not a hard decision. We are happy we did, we are glad.
CC: A lot of people are scared of flying, let alone talking of being in charge of the cockpit? So, what scares you about the job?
CS: Scares (pauses)… I think the more you fly, even if you have thousands of hours, there are times you will have fears in the cockpit, maybe weather or something, but that is where the training comes in. We go through rigorous training from time to time and all that, and that makes you more comfortable to handle any situation. And going forward, it is still mostly the same thing I have been doing, you know, only that it is more responsibility – I am looking after everybody at once. But I do not really think I have or I should have any particular fears about flying.
CC: Men especially are not comfortable having women in the cockpit. Is that justified?
CS: (Chuckles) It’s funny, because there are times we are boarding and the men will see me in the cockpit and they will behave like: “Is it a female flying us? Are we safe? Are we safe? And we laugh about it, because it is 2018 and we expect people to be conversant with having females in their cockpits. But I guess we will give them a little more time to understand that what the men can do, we equally can do.
CC: Let’s go controversial here now. Between men and women (pilots and captains), who do the job better?
CS: I would not want to go controversial to that extent. I think we (men and women pilots) equally do you job. There was a time years ago when they said women were more patient; they think better in handling things. But in this profession, I think the training and a lot of factors come into play. It is not all about gender most times.
CC: What should we expect now that you have been elevated?
CS: At the end of the day, it’s wisdom and hopefully, I get better really. I strive to be a better person. So it’s just to understand the profession and my career, and just work with what I have. I am glad to have supportive colleagues, a supportive chairman and our captains, training captains, so it does not seem like it will be a difficult road to walk. Inasmuch as there will be challenges, definitely we will overcome those challenges.

Sarkin: I am saying this here and now that 60% of the issues we are facing in this country is plotted by PDP just to frustrate this government and garner support for ignorant Nigerians. See, let me tell you something, I can never support evil. Buhari has been wrong on many issues but no one is prefer naaa. As much as I hate OBJ, I rather support his third force that to support 'Satan's own party' PDP. Paid PDP supporters like salamrushdie, lzaa, zombiepunisher/zombiehunter here on the this forum have somewhat succeeded in deceiving gullible people but they can never deceive me. One PDP mad man even admitted that they "used" to kill people. And people here will still beat their chest for them. Sad.
goldcoinhub: Nigerian singer, Runtown is once again in trouble with the law as his enstranged label, Eric Many has once again dragged him to court in a fresh case of contempt of court after Runtown released a new song despite a court order against him.
According to a statement signed by the label's general manager, Johnson Adumike,
'We are in Court with Runtown for his breach of our Recording Contract. We sued him because while applying to the Registrar of Trademarks in Abuja to register professional names licensed to us during the duration of our contract, Runtown also unilaterally terminated our Recording Contract with him'.
'While our Contract is supposed to fall due for expiration on 22nd June 2018, Ericmany has an outstanding balance of about N266,694,755.08 to recoup on our investment and expenses on Runtown.
He also failed to deliver an Album which the Contract requires him to deliver to us during the Contract Period. Under the contract if there is outstanding money or Album by 22nd June, 2018, end of the Contract Period, the Contract enters into an Option Period of one year. Runtown has neither honoured the Contract Period nor the Option Period.
Following our application, Abuja High Court made an Interim Order on 10th May, 2018, barring Runtown from any performance or recording of any song outside our Contract until the issues are sorted out by Court.
'The Judge also ordered that status quo be maintained until our Motion praying for this protection is decided. Yet on 27th June, 2018 Runtown released a new song outside our Contract. Determined to follow due process in our dispute with Runtown we have filed a Contempt of Court case against him.
Following Court Order to serve Runtown by publication in the Punch, our Notice of Contempt of Court is published at page 22 of The Punch Newspaper today. If he still fails to respect Court Order by removing the song, we will follow up with the next steps to ensure Runtown is committed to prison, since he is not above the law.
'If he felt the Court Order is wrong, his lawyer has already appeared in Court and filed papers. It is for his lawyer to show the Court that the Order is wrong. It is not open to Runtown to ignore Court Order. It is important to state that we are at home with the fact that Runtown does not intend to continue working with us.
We are not in any confusion about that. We have therefore not asked the Court to order him to continue working with us. Our case is for recovery of our money and the Album he owes in line with the Contract. It is the duty of both sides to abide by Court Orders. So Ericmany will continue t rely on due process until we get justice'.

emekabros2: LAWYER, FIVE OTHERS NABBED OVER FOILED PLAN TO KIDNAP BIZMAN FOR RANSOM
TO FACE PROSECUTION
Barrister Kayode Oshinyemi, by virtue of his membership of one of the notable and noblest professions, with the accolade of 'Minister in the Sacred Temple of Justice' , defending the defenseless, has burnt his fingers to uncontrollable lust for money.
Oshinyemi, currently cooling his feet in the cell of the Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad (FSARS), Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital, was alleged to have, alongside his accomplices, mapped out strategies to kidnap a businessman, one Alhaji Shakirudeen Olufowobi, following the syndicate's failed attempts to defraud their target of #250million.
Disclosing this to Crimepuzzle, Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, said in a press statement that the arrest of the member of the Bar was sequel to a petition by the businessman to the state Commissioner of Police, CP Ahmed Iliyasu, alleging a threat to his life by the lawyer and his cohorts.
Oyeyemi averred that, the petitioner was emphatic on the role played by the lawyer in several failed attempts to fleece him.
He said, "the petitioner alleged that the lawyer, having failed in his several attempts to make him part with millions of Naira to the syndicate, went further to perfect a plan to either rope him in a case he knew nothing about or kidnap him for ransom.
"Meanwhile, prior to the planned kidnap attempt, some members of the syndicate had been nabbed in the petitioner's Al-Amin Farm in Imagbon, via Ijebu-Ode, for stealing", the PPRO stated .
According to him, "On the strength of the petition, the Commissioner of Police, CP Ahmed Iliyasu, directed the Officer-in-Charge of FSARS, SP Uba Adam, to discreetly investigate the petition.
"And, in compliance with the CP's order, the outfit embarked on a technical based investigation and monitoring of the said lawyer's activities. The operatives' efforts paid off as the lawyer was caught on tape, planning with others to device means of forcing the businessman to cough out the sum of #250 million, a proceed to be shared amongst all members of the gang.
"Arrested along with the lawyer are: Adeborode Ogunlaja, Sodiq Owolabi, Abolaji Alabi, Mikhail's Abolaji, Abiodun Adebayo and Abolaji Adebola", Oyeyemi stated.
The PPRO further stated that, "On interrogation, Mukaila Abolaji narrated how the lawyer, in collaboration with Adeborode Ogun Lara, lured him into the plan to fraudulently extort money from the complainant and how the money would be shared among them, stating that he reluctantly cued into the plan because of the amount of money involved.
In his own statement, Abiodun Adebayo, who regretted knowing the lawyer, accused him of once using him to profess a fake miracle in a crusade organised by one of his pastor friends.
He said he was made to tie a live tortoise to his chest at a crusade ground in Ilese-Ijebu, a ploy to fool the congregation that he was arrested by the Holy Ghost to openly confess being a member of an occult.
"An allegation the lawyer was unable to deny", the statement added.
Meanwhile, CP Iliyasu has ordered that the suspects be charged to court as soon as investigation was concluded.

Emerging reports indicate that Barcelona are willing to offer as much as three players to Chelsea for Willian as they try to knock down the Blues’ huge asking price for the Brazilian.
Barcelona reportedly switched their attention to Willian after Antoine Griezmann opted to remain with Atletico Madrid ahead of the forthcoming football season.
Willian is believed to be interested in the switch to the Camp Nou but Chelsea are not willing to let him go and have slapped a £70 million price tag on him.
However, Spanish media outlet Mundo Deportive claim that Barcelona have proposed a player plus cash swap deal instead, and are ready to include three players in the deal that could eventually see Willian join the Catalans. The players mentioned are also not in Ernesto Valverde’s first team plans for next season’s campaign. The players believed to have have been mentioned Andre Gomes, Paulinho, or Rafinha.

Issame: There was drama, last night, in Ilesha, Osun State, after a commercial sex worker fled for dear life due to the violent way her client handled her in bed, after promising to pay N5k for her service.
In a video posted online, the lady, who ran out of the room, can be heard saying: “I swear to God nothing is wrong with me. We don’t know each other from Adam. He just saw me by the road side and picked me.
But the way he had s*x with me ruthlessly, in fact I couldn’t take it any longer. Is it because I’m into prostitution that you slept with me violently?
What happened? Just because of N5k, I’ll now kill myself. I’m not insane now. If you had slept with me normally, I wouldn’t have run out like that. What happened? Haha.”

goldcoinhub: The Force spokesman, Jimoh Moshood, in a statement claimed some of the police mobile force personnel on special duty only went to the command to enquire about the delay in the payment and not to protest, NAN reports.
Mr Moshood said the officers who went on enquiry were not those attached to Operation Lafiya Dole in the fight against insurgency in the North East.
He said they were those on the category of visiting PMF units deployed in Maiduguri on Crime Prevention and other Police duties in the State.
“The force wish to categorically state that it is not correct that police personnel protested in Maiduguri today July 2,” he said.
Mr Moshood said that the Inspector-General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, had directed the Commissioner of Police in Borno to address why the delay in the payment of their special duty allowances.
He also assured them that with the approval of the budget, the allowances would be expeditiously processed and paid without any further delay.
The spokesman said the IGP also ordered the Commissioner of PMF to proceed to Borno and other states in the North East where personnel are deployed on special duty.
He said the commissioner should also inform them on efforts being made by the force to ensure timely payment of their allowances.
“Members of the Public in Maiduguri, Borno are hereby enjoined not to panic but to go about their lawful duties and other responsibilities without fear or apprehension.
“The Nigeria Police Force is a disciplined organisation and will not allow any situation to degenerate into disturbance of Public Peace anywhere in the Country,“he said.
Earlier, mobile policemen in the Borno capital of Maiduguri staged a protest over non-payment of their allowances.
The protesting officers barricaded their command headquarters located on Maiduguri-Kano expressway.
The protest disrupted traffic on the road.
One of protesting policemen who pleaded anonymity, said they were angry over the non-payment of their allowances in the last six months.
“About 10, 000 mobile policemen were deployed to the state from different commands but we have not received our allowances in the past six months.
“We have been serving at the command headquarters since our deployment; but some of us deployed to other locations outside the headquarters were being paid their allowances as and when due.
“We have been facing hardships as a result of the non-payment of the allowances. We have made several complaints but nobody listened to us,” the aggrieved policeman said.
The Commissioner of Police in the state, Damian Chukwu, blamed the non payment on the delay in the passage of the 2018 budget.
He called on the protesting policemen to calm down and assured them that their allowances would be paid.
"The Nigeria Police Force has claimed that the mobile policemen who blocked its Borno headquarters earlier Monday in Maiduguri, were not staging a protest, but “merely complaining” over the delay in payment of their special duty allowances"
