1stGenAmerican:Please state the press release from the Kremlin that backs up your claim. https://www.telesurenglish.net/amp/news/Russian-MoD-Offers-Update-on-Casualties-From-Ukraine-Conflict-20220326-0001.html |
1stGenAmerican:Please share the link to the credible "Russian sources" or otherwise retract this falsehood. The Kremlin is akin to the White House or Aso Rock. It is the secretariat of government and not the Defense ministry. The Kremlin doesn't announce casualty figures. As at first week of April, the casualty figures for the Russian soldiers was 1,351. Avoid watching too much of American TV, it makes one a Zombie!!!!! |
My guy dance finish, release two shots into the air!! ![]() Anyways, Ukraine claims that they have killed over 12 Generals and over 20,000 Soldiers. If true as claimed, then why are these Soldiers dancing and celebrating............something definitely isn't adding up. Oh, it is the Ukrainian lies echoed by Western fake news media that isn't adding up. ![]() |
This won't impact anything. The Russians already have contingency plans to either circumvent or overcome any Sanctions that the EU or US might put out. A great percentage of Oil and Gas vessels moving Russian Oil/Gas products are owned by Russian companies. Preventing them from accessing Insurance services from Western companies will simply mean that the Russians will move the insurance of those vessels to Russian insurance companies which will be guaranteed (reinsured) by State funds. Remember the Sanctions levied against Russia's Aircraft Industry in early March. The hope was that the Russian Air market will get crippled....but guess what, the Russians simply moved all the foreign leased Aircraft to their own Registers and used Russian companies to insure and maintain them. I'm not saying the Russians are impervious, but they are tough as nails and ingenious as compared to the idiots in the EU/USA. P.s. Russia also moves a lot of its Oil via pipelines to China, Europe, Kazakhstan and Mongolia. Those pipelines are owned and operated by Russia, how will the Sanctions affect them? The EU is just bending over backwards to please their masters in Washington. But it is to their own detriment. |
KogiPikin:Joke of the century right. He might be qualified, but now isn't his time. |
Things are getting interesting. This APC primaries is fast becoming a case of "the more you look, the less you see" Abi is Pastor Bakare the special candidate that Buhari is protecting from elimination? |
Well, life happens. But you need to workout a way to snap out of it. Perhaps take a vacation, rekindle the interests you had before marriage, pray about it......try and leave stress free lives. Just find a way to make your marriage work, except you have a plan B. |
Both are eminently qualified. ![]() On a side note, people who quarrel over politicians are just doing themselves. Politicians usually get along with each other outside the media spotlight and largely share same interests. |
BrutusOj:Yes, that's one major weakness of the South. We are not united. However, if the North conspires to retain power beyond 2023 then the unity of Nigeria viz a viz equal rotation of power between North and South will be called into question. |
It is becoming clear that there is a game plan to shortchange the South in both the PDP and the APC. At the end of the day, both parties will throw the race open to all aspirants irrespective of Geopolitical zone. Make we dey look. |
AllKnowing:The sad truth is that our entire Media structure here in Nigeria, including Social media, Newspapers and even online platforms have all been penetrated (or even owned via proxies) by Western interests. Imagine TVC & Channels just recycling BBC readouts in their news reporting, without even bothering to question if what they are saying is true or not. |
At this rate, we will soon hear that Putin himself and his entire Cabinet have been killed. Ukrainians Nazis winning on Social Media as always. ![]() Igbofam, I hope you have been promised a nice take home package when this is all over, as your commitment to the cause of spreading Ukrainian propaganda is legendary. |
Dear Ambode and by extension AMCO....please go and rest. 2019 has passed and we are now in 2022 going on 2023 Peace ![]() |
You raised valid points. It is true that time waits for no one most especially in politics. GloriousGbola: |
Hamzat is brilliant, I believe he will do well in Senate. However, this shifting of base is what I don't understand. He has always had his base in Epe so why not wait for Tokunbo Abiru to do two terms and then take his place? Or rather continue as deputy and then contest to take over in 2027. Politics sha. |
Bodmum:Really, is this the best you can offer? |
VictorUSA:If they are weak as shit as claimed, then why was the Pentagon spokesman whining and crying in his press conference yesterday? Why is the US and its lapdogs rushing weapons to Ukraine? They are weak as shit, but they went into Syria and got the job done. They are weak as shit, but they are getting the job done in Ukraine with territory larger than the entire UK already liberated with the Ukrainians surrendering left and right. Continue to console yourself ![]() |
I sincerely wonder how this type of news get to the Frontpage. If you believe the Guardian, then I have a bridge to sell you in Lagos. The UK establishment right down to its media arm is just an absolute disgrace. It is absolutely clear that the Russians are advancing on all fronts in the South and Eastern parts of Ukraine and the Russians (who are winning) have never threatened or even hinted at using Nuclear weapons in Ukraine. We remember from records that the country who has used Nuclear weapons is the United States and when they were getting their asses kicked in Korea and Vietnam also threatened to use same. The Russian position has always been consistent, which is no one will win a Nuclear war. Perhaps @Righteousness1 @GardenofGod @HolinessForever or whatever moniker you go by these days should try and note this. N.B. All this articles and opinion pieces from the UK media has two purposes: 1. To whip up public sentiment against the Russians by painting them in a "James Bond Villian" kind of light and thus win over public opinion for the Ukrainians. 2. To try and apply some kind of psychological pressure on the Russians to stop them from prosecuting the Special operation to the fullest. Only the gullible will fall for their tricks. |
Oga candidate, abeg reconcile with other aggrieved members and present a united front. The primaries that brought you in had some question marks, but your popularity arising from being the incumbent Governor's choice isn't in doubt sha. |
All these propagandist news from the British "Yellow Press" aka fake news tabloids trying to boost Zelenskyy's image and present him as who is he is not. If the Russians were interested in killing him, a couple of cruise missiles will do the job. Perhaps he hasn't realised yet, but he is the last president of Ukraine (in its current borders). |
omenka:You got it right! |
It seems the Cross River State Governor has declared for President. Welcome to the race!! The more the merrier. ![]() |
I really don't see much changing in how Twitter is run especially in terms of its pro-liberal outlook. Maybe new 'crazy' features will be rolled out, but it will still be same same - which is serving America's corporate and political interests. However, I am more interested in Musk. He owns Tesla - Most valuable car company He owns SpaceX - Most valuable Space Company He owns SolarCity - Don't much about this yet He owns Twitter - A major Social Media Giant This guy is amassing REAL power. But for what?? No one knows yet. |
Wow...$500m |
This is funny because it isn't the savings of Russians that are at risk, rather it is the savings of ordinary Dutch citizens. Now the relevant agency for depositary insurance in the Netherlands will have to spend taxpayer funds in providing recompense to depositors. Talk about the stupidity of these present crop of European leaders. ![]() |
fineboynl:Russia didn't really prevent people from buying Dollars per se, it was the US that imposed Sanctions preventing Russia from trading externally with Dollars in the first place. The Russians simply decided to go further by deciding to take out Dollars from internal trade within their borders. Whoever advised the US government on their Sanctions policy really made a big mistake. Yes, Russia will be hurt. But they also have strong tools to hurt the Sanctioning countries in return. They are a Natural resources, Commodities and Food Superpower. |
Good. However, from open sources there are two major reasons for this: 1. Reduced demand for USD within Russia 2. Increased demand for Roubles outside Russia Due to sanctions, and counter sanctions by Russia, there is a reduced demand for USD which will otherwise have been used to pay for imports. Secondly, due to Russia's decision to sell gas to "unfriendly countries" in Roubles, there has been a demand for Roubles by customers purchasing Russian gas so that they can pay for it. Note that Rouble was trading at 85 to the Dollar as at April 1st when the decree came into effect. For the Rouble to keep rising (currently fluctuating between 74-76 to the Dollar), it will mean that despite the public statements by the EU, they have started paying for their gas in Roubles. Note that daily updates on Rouble trading is available on the Moscow Exchange. https://www.moex.com/en/

SmartPolician:Nonetheless, we should still try. Otherwise, greater problems may arise from trusting wrong information. Most people usually listen to one side of the story and move on. This is where false impressions usually emanate from. |
dreality:Honestly, it is even more disappointing that here on Nairaland, there is not even a filter that tries to ensure that fake news doesn't get to the front page. It quite amazing that news from British media is what one will be quoting as source. Shameful. |
Sltp:None of them died. They were all transferred to other ships and a video of their reception at the port of Sevastopol is available on RT.com |
Beremx:I think you meant "beam of light". As I can remember, rotating the head either narrowed or widened the beam. |
