neuf:So it is ISIS, a ragtag band of militias with AK-47s and no modern air defence system that can deduce the stealth capabilities of the F-35 right? Who are those buying the F-35? Isn't it allies of the US? Will they leave their patron's weapons system and buy from the Chinese or the Russians. Think brother, think. |
DukeNija:You need to study economics and costing. That somebody's spends more on something doesn't translate into the output being better than that of someone who spent less. The military spending of the US is high, because it has to maintain a lot of infrastructure around the world, pay exorbitantly higher salaries to its soldiers, give aid to it allied/vassal states like Israel and this is priced in Dollars. The Russians pay for their own costs in Rubles, the Chinese in Yuan and they don't have infrastructure all over the world to maintain. Finally, what makes you think that the Russians or the Chinese don't make better research that the Americans. Please don't watch too much of Hollywood. |
neuf:Every weapon system's capability including that of the F-35 is open to dispute until proven otherwise in battlefield conditions. Don't be a fan boy without critical reasoning. |
goodheart01:I think you need to read my comment again, but this time slowly. |
goodheart01:Bros, there is nothing unknown about the F-35c. Moreso, the "mega stealth" levels of the F-35 series of aircraft [as touted] is still open to dispute. |
MVLOX:Good point |
This story ehn... So many marriages are going through this silently. Please ignore those saying you should go outside, when it blows in your face, they won't be there. Seek for an Elder in the family that you can confide in and explain the situation to him or her. Also check yourself hygiene wise, try and help with chores in the house, change her environment (maybe take a trip). Find a way to make your marriage work. |
Ahmback:The guns mounted on the trucks fire bullets that take lives. Don't be clever by half. |
Ahmback:Using your logic, then Japan must also be an indirect sponsor of terrorism. Afterall, most of the terrorists are driving Toyota trucks with guns mounted on them. Terrorists, freedom fighters etc. get their weapons from the black market, looting of government armouries and in some instances they are provided by a sponsor state. Also note that AK-47 was manufactured by the Soviet Union with licences also granted to China, East Germany, Poland, Albania, Czechoslovakia and some other communist states. The Soviets stopped manufacturing AK-47 model as far back as the 1960s. The guns carried by these Malians are the Chinese variant. |
HM Special Duties dey dark room. Oga minister, we can't see your face o. ![]() |
Sunnyja:If this is what you can say then sorry. |
I hope if the INEC Chairman decides to sue him for defamation of character, he won't say it is because of tribe. Instead of this useless rant, he should have gone to court to compel INEC to do the needful if indeed he met the requirements. Unfortunately, critical thinking amongst youths is sorely lacking in our society today. |
This is a nice one from the President. Go Super Eagles!!! Soar Eagles!!!! |
This is just political grandstanding. Whether you are called Mr. Governor, His Excellency or simply Mr. Charles, deliver for your people. That is what you will be measured by, and not what you are called. The Lagos State Governor also requested same, and I wonder how well that has helped him. |
Every eligible Nigerian has a choice. Choose wisely who you want, and desist from insulting others for their choices. Critically assess each candidate based on their merits and pick the best option. 2023 Elections is very important for us all. |
All this extensive damage and 3 killed? It is well.... |
"If his principal cannot stand on his own two feet to promote himself, how is that my fault or my father's fault?" It is here that her inherent bias and dislike of Asiwaju Tinubu came out. Honestly, the man said nothing wrong but then only people who objectively listened to his comments will agree with such. MKO Abiola is part of the history of Nigeria's democracy and whether for good or for bad, people will continually reference him. On Arise news, there is a subtle dislike of Tinubu/APC and that is not surprising. But the journalistic standards (as evidenced by this emotional outburst) and certain type of questions raised by their presenters is quite shocking. A clear example is the question raised by Rufai about the exact cost of the free education on the candidate's manifesto. Rufai should have been learned enough to know that a manifesto is a list of programmes to be implemented and it may or may not include a timeframe and usually doesn't include cost element. Whoever includes cost elements in a manifesto without taking into cognizance the actual budgetary funds on ground or inflationary tendencies will be tagged as unserious. Secondly, is Abati's question about the candidate's age and qualification. Anytime I hear such questions, it only reveals the lack of depth exhibited by the journalists. For goodness sake, the candidate has a profile on Wikipedia. I would have expected that Arise, opposition parties, and other interested stakeholders would have written to the Universities he graduated from to ascertain if what he claims is true or not. Same also applies to his age. Investigate, bring out the facts and let everyone see. Instead, they reference everything from social media. ![]() This doesn't just refer to Tinubu alone, it also refers to other candidates and the lack of true investigative journalism carried out on their profiles and claims. This is prevalent in our news media. If I was the owner of the station, all three presenters are not worth their salt to be on The Morning Show and especially for Tundun, her behavior on air warrants an immediate suspension. |
venabili:You couldn't have said it better. I wonder what importance Gambia is to us, either as an ally or trading partner to warrant the President travelling with such high powered delegation, even leaving Covid aside. The Foreign Affairs minister should have been the one to go in the President's stead. |
Efficiency7:They will use consensus method. Chairman will be either Al-Makura or Akume. Sani Musa will not get it. |
BafanaBafana:I think both George Akume and Tanko Al-Makura are sympathetic to Tinubu's aspiration. |
This will mean Presidency to South/South West. |
There is nothing to celebrate here. Some went abroad and tweeted from there i.e. El-Rufai Some, their handlers are abroad and they are tweeting from there. Some were just trying to make some sort of political statement. Whether ill advised or not, it would have been nice of them as leaders and shapers of public thought to have maintained position with the government's directive. |
Latakia:You seem to be right. Let's see how things turnout. |
Watching, but the audio quality is bad. In my opinion, Direct primaries is the best mode that reflects the wishes of the electorate. There just need to be transparency in the process. The President erred in delaying assent. |
tonididdy:Keep waiting. |
kponkedenge:Good, but nobody will just dash you a platform. You will need to join a viable party and go through the process. Few youths are committed to undertaking such journey. |
Dshocker:Or maybe Atiku. Or even Anyim. ![]() |
kponkedenge:To be fair, please point out one of those young, vibrant and capable hands to enable us assess as an alternative. |
Well IBB is free to air his mind. But then, none of the candidates who have presented themselves to vie for office are as old as he is. Neither is the incumbent who is already as old as he is, intending to continue in office. So what exactly is his point on the age thing? Baba should relax. ![]() |
So we now know who Sanwo-Olu got his pointing lessons from. Awon pointers. ![]() Nice pic of the Jagaban though, strategically released to assure us of this fitness for office ![]() The Jagaban |
He should reconcile the factions in Zamfara. That is key. |
Coolsperm:That's a strange feeling to have. Without really knowing someone, it isn't easy to say if they are good or bad. Might be best to be neutral and watch will be further revealed about him during the campaigns. |
