This is a good development.

But it should be partly owned by government and managed by Private Sector Partners.

A model after EgyptAir and Ethiopian airlines will be nice.

You can't stop hundreds of nukes at the same time.

It won't change anything.

There would be enough time for America to launch their own counter attacks over the weeks and months after the president and congress has agreed.
It is not that straight forward. In a nuclear war, the opponent's nukes are targeting the other party's nukes - missile silos, airforce bases, navy yards, nuclear storage facilities, nuclear weapons production facilities, military garrisons and formations, critical national infrastructure assets etc. There will simply be nothing to retaliate with if you are caught napping. In the concept of Mutual Assured Destruction, the moment you discover that your opponent's nukes are in the air, you launch yours immediately to ensure that you deliver a proportional counter punch. Hope you grab now?

Multiple access means that just one person can't launch an attack. The code is broken into multiple pieces. Everyone with a piece of the code must consent before an attack.

It's even harder that way.
This will be terrible from a strategic point of view. So what if there is dissent and the opponent's nukes are already in the air?

The president will be bickering with Congress?
Foreign AffairsRe: Joe Biden Urged To Renounce Sole Control Of US Nuclear Weapons by mach7(m): 10:34am On Jan 11, 2021
America is a really funny society.

"The President should share nuclear release authority with selected Congressional members."

What a joke!

Edit:
Therr is a reason why the president is called the Commander-in-chief, he has the sole right to declare war and use the weapons of war accordingly, if the situation demands it.

CelebritiesRe: American Celebrities React To Trump’s Twitter Ban (Pictures) by mach7(m): 6:08pm On Jan 10, 2021
WoundedLamb:
Hillary was accused of something in the in 2016 election. Trump was also accused of something then. Counter accusations are normal. Politics is dirty everywhere, as a Nigerian you know this better than anyone else. So the problem isn't that Trump accused the Democrats of election fraud, the problem is follow up actions and his willingness to sacrifice peace/stability for his political goals. Hillary believed there was inconsistencies in the last election as well but she didn't degenerate into this. She left the people out if her saga, accepted the result and followed with the problem party to part afterwards. Trump somehow believes he can always have things go his way against all odds like a baby. He doesn't know his limits and that is what has brought him into this.

As for the bolded, the majority is the voice. So when I say Americans don't want him, I meant the majority, however sizable Trump's supporters might be. Most of those who believe the election wasn't free and fair are simply following the voice of thier preferred candidate. If that number of people had any proof of fraud, Biden wouldn't have been declared the winner.
Well said

WoundedLamb:
Awesome. So why didn't Trump also "accept" the result and then go ahead to complain, write a book or carry out his investigation like the Democrats did? There lies the difference between him and the Democrats. He was willing to sacrifice the stability of the country on the alter of his political ambitions. That's not what anyone who really cares about the nation would do cause his political ambitions are not worth the chaos. It's was the American political system and legal structure that put him there despite the allegations you pointed out; it was, therefore, ridiculous of him to have thought they could be bent at will.

What exactly was he trying to achieve with the unintelligent moves? In what way could it have gone well? You think they'd have been peace in the country if the results were nullified as he requested? You think Democrats were dumb when they went to lick their wounds after the last election? Trump knew so well that his actions could lead to many outcomes none of which would have been peaceful but he didn't care. He had options before him and he took this path with his eyes wide open. Whatever his reasons were, it was a dumb move both for him and his party. This is the consequence of his actions so let's drop the emotional blackmail. America doesn't want him. Let's move on.
I am not making an excuse for Trump's actions or inactions - whatever he did or didn't do, he is responsible for it. I am only pointing out that there is a lot of insincerity on both sides, which you are either ignoring or not aware of. On the bolded, a section of America didn't want him and not all America. A good portion of Americans either rightly or wrongly do believe that the election was not free and fair.

Foreign AffairsRe: "Disable His Nuclear Codes!" - Americans Panic Over Trump Nuclear Access by mach7(m): 10:05pm On Jan 09, 2021
Unfortunately, most people do not understand how Nuclear Release Authority works. The codes are for the sitting president to authenticate himself to the Military chain of command that he or she is the president.

The codes are not to launch nuclear weapons and the codes cannot be removed from the president's possession except in event of impeachment or invocation of the 25th amendment.

Nancy Pelosi knows this, but she is simply playing to the gallery and aiming to "cut Trump to size" in his final moments.
Foreign AffairsRe: Why Is Kashmir Important To India And Pakistan by mach7(m): 9:58pm On Jan 09, 2021
Kashmir is of strategic importance for both India, Pakistan and of late China.

For India, it is matter of national pride, control over the Indus river (as it flows through Indian administered Kashmir before flowing into Pakistan), land connection to Afghanistan and denial of land border between Pakistan and China.

For Pakistan, it is a matter of national pride, control of over the source of the Indus river (as it flows from Indian administered Kashmir into Pakistani administered Kashmir and further onwards to Pakistan proper as the major water source for the entire Pakistan), denial of land connection between India and Afghanistan, and guarantee of a land border connection between Pakistan and China.

For China, it is a matter of strategic national survival. The sea lanes (to and fro) to China from its major markets pass through the straits of Malacca, which can be cut of by the United States in event of hostilities with China. The land connection with Pakistan means that China has an alternate route to import and export goods through the land corridor through Pakistan and straight to the Pakistani port of Gwadar which is on the Indian Ocean. This enables China bypass any blockade imposed on it by the U.S. Moreso, China is in a semi - state kf war with India. It can never allow India full control over Kashmir.

Implications:
If India looses total control of Kashmir;
It enables a land bridge between Pakistan and China thus strengthening Pakistan.
It looses a direct land connection to Afghanistan and its ability to influence events there.
It looses control over the source of the Indus river and its ability to royally screw Pakistan in event of hostilities.

If Pakistan looses total control of Kashmir;
It looses its land connection to China and its major source of economic survival.
It looses control over the flow of the Indus river and will be vulnerable to disaster if India blocks the river flow.
It enables a land connection between India and Afghanistan.
It becomes worthless in the eyes of China.

Implications for China if Pakistan looses control of Kashmir;
It becomes vulnerable in a war with U.S.
A major component of its Silk Trade route (Belt and Road Initiative) goes down the drain.

All the above countries are Prisoners of Geography.

Hillary accepted the result and Obama ensured a smooth transition. Those two are the card bearing party members representing the Democrats in the whole drama. The so-called thugs are citizens; supporters like you and I. They aren't party members, they only seek good governance and would always go with one preferred candidate or the other. I don't think the issue here is the reaction of the people when their preferred candidate loses an election. The issue is the reaction of the candidate who is the representative of thier party. Trump's action or inaction fueled this unfortunate outcome. We both know this, let's not galvanize it. People will always react but the decision of the person they're clamoring for determines to what extent the people would go. Trump could have stopped this a long time ago but he encouraged it cause he had hoped it would yield a positive result for him. He's only giving up now cause he has no choice.

Good afternoon.
Hillary "accepted" the result attended the inauguration, and thereafter stated that she lost because the Russians helped Trump win. Even wrote a book about it too.
Obama accepted the result, despite all the efforts that he and the intelligence apparatus under him did to spy on and subvert Trump's win.
The Democrats "accepted" the result by using 3 years to conduct an investigation into the Russian collusion and delegitimizing Trump as a "Russian puppet"
The Media "accepted" the result by constantly demonizing Trump and his followers and not presenting anything he did in a good light.

The World is unfair, I will leave things here. Judge for yourself.

RomanceRe: Help, I Am In Love With A Single Mother Of Two. by mach7(m):
You need think hard and pray hard.

You might love her, but are you willing to love her children? Remember love is not in words but in action i.e. taking care of them financially, materially, emotionally.

Also, it is important to ask yourself...if after you have invested in the children (trusting that you have yours too), what will you do if the real father comes to claim them? Most likely, he will.

What does your family think about this? It is very very important to get your family's buyin and blessing. Because if yawah gas, it is your family that will rally round to help you.

Lastly and most importantly, what does God say to you. Are you having the full conviction in your heart that this is the right step for you?

Best of luck as you consider all this.

Impeachment and removal will not hinder a 2024 bid if he decides to run again, which I highly doubt
It will. Impeachment means the president has been "convicted" for an impeachable crime and is no longer "fit for office".

I think he will declare 2024 bid on January 20th.

Chairman, in this case I don't speak with certainty and I don't know who can, but from my above averge research,

25% of their gdp is from bullying their neighbors with resources,

then 25% is from hacking various countries banks,

30% from selling weapons and using it to buy stakes in those countries,

then 10% or 15% is creative and services

then the rest is through protecting countries and maybe printing money.

A very useless place I tell you, with 24hr electricity and some technology.

Right now, Trump is close to untouchable as he is exiting.

Better let him exit as scheduled on Jan 20th and not give ammunition to further violence.

Although her reasons for suggesting this also includes a means of blocking Trump's expected 2024 bid.

Whether it is the largest, second largest or third largest in the world, the consequential importance is that it serves as a means of employment for the teeming youths of Imota, Agbowa and Ikorodu.

2.5 million bags per year should sufficiently meet the local demand of Lagos and the entire Southwest.

Enough of rice importation. cool
