I think you are all sick in the head. . . . Did Naijacutee in any way LIE?? Has she not spoken the barefaced truth?

The poster is looking to set up a BUSINESS and all factors MUST be considered! That you deny there's a high risk of being defrauded in Nigeria doesnt make the problem go away.

This is purely a business matter and no time for misplaced patriotism. The op asks for business advice and the WISE thing to do is to present the situation as it is on ground, its now left to the investor to decide whether he's got efficient checks & balances to checkmate fraud to reasonable level or better still prevent it all together.

Its only a fool that'll consider opening a business in afghanistan without considering security likewise setting up an internet business in nigeria without considering fraud.

If the op were to lose his investments you jokers with your Green white Green vests would be nowhere to be found rathet y'all would be at home typing ''o ma se oo, better luck next time'' while the poster bites his fingers.
Will just shut your trap if you don’t have anything meaningful to say, must you contribute in any and every discussion. Haba abi na force?.
Zebutt clearly stated his wife is Nigerian, he has a house in sango-otta and from all that he has said so far indicates he has at least a good knowledge about the country. So why start bringing in the fraud factor. Too bad that a moderator will be the champion of the cause. At times I marvel at some of us Nigerians, someone has already started pointing him to Ghana. Has any body bother to take a stat about the number of foreigners that own business in Nigeria and are willing to come in and invest, inspite of the international perception about Nigerians as regards fraud. Its only gullible, dumb and senseless individual that fall for scams( cos some of these so called fraudsters are so dumb that at times you which planet are they from).
If our leaders cannot encourage sincere investors to come in and invest, why don’t we doso in our own little way instead of trying to put unnecessary fear in the mind of people.

Nigerians are like pharises and saduces. Can we kindly cut Dora some slack, haba whats her crime? Even though she is not an astute and conny politician by not handling the Yaradua saga with tact and diplomacy. But is it possible to be sane in an environment of insanity? In my own humble opinion which am very entitled to, she did the best she could under the normal circumstance and now thats its over lets allow her to have a well deserved rest, instead of all THIS DORA DO THIS AND DORA DO THAT.

KunleOshob:
@kx
It makes more sense to start a church under the RCCG umbrella since it is already a well known brand and with a little marketing effort customers would start flowing in, but with starting a new church attracting members might be a bit of a challenge. Only problem is that you would have to pay royalty [100% of tithes collected] to the RCCG franchise owners.this would basically reduce your profits but the bright side is that a few years down the line when you become popular you can dump the RCCG brand a start up your own brand with the clients you would have acquired using the RCCG brand like Pastor Bakare and pastor Rapu did when they left RCCG to start there own brands.
E dey easy na u dey nairaland dey waste your talent, abi u no like own a private jet. Go begin your own church you go suffer so tay na only wrapper go dey tie like those ghanian chiefs.

64 killed in Kogi, Edo auto crashes

Written by Johnson Babajide and Uchechukwu Olisah (Nigerian Tribune,
10-03-2010)

FORTY-EIGHT hours after about 500 persons were killed in Plateau State, 64
persons lost their lives in two road accidents in Kogi and Edo states. In
the Kogi accident, an articulated vehicle crushed about 60 people at
Felele, a suburb of Lokoja, the state capital.

While at Uselu market on the Ugbowo-Lagos road, in Benin City, four persons
were killed, when another articulated vehicle ran into them, crushing them
in the process.

Security agents gave conflicting figures on the Kogi accident, as police
authorities said that no fewer than 60 people were killed in the accident,
the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in the state said about 26 died.

The state sector commander of the FRSC, Mr Yomi Asaniyan, told the Nigerian
Tribune that there was the likelihood that the casualities might be more
than that, stating that many families had come to the scene of the accident
to remove their relations’ corpses, adding that many people were seriously
injured.

Kogi State Police Command spokesman, Mr Abubakar Mohammed, who spoke to the
Nigerian Tribune on phone, said that no fewer than 60 people were killed in
the accident.

The Nigerian Tribune, which visited the spot around 1.00 p.m., an hour
after the accident occurred, learnt that it was caused by an articulated
vehicle, belonging to Dangote Cement Company, fully loaded with bags of
cement. The vehicle was said to have lost control after a brake failure and
rammed into many vehicles.

About 20 vehicles were crushed by the articulated vehicle, among them were
five buses, 12 cars and five motorcycles. The affected buses were coming
from Abuja but were caught due to a traffic jam caused by the market.

The heavy casualties may have been due to transactions going on at the
market since it fell on a market day, while the affected cars were parked
along the highway, many intra-city vehicles were picking passengers and
others alighting from the vehicles.

An eyewitness, who spoke to the Nigerian Tribune, said that many lives were
lost, particularly, traders’ and passengers’ whose vehicles were caught in
the accident, disclosing that he alone carried 16 dead bodies to the state
general hospital on the plea of the road safety men.

Meanwhile, Kogi State deputy governor, Chief Philip Salawu, narrowly
escaped being lynched by angry youths who were protesting against the
accident.

The deputy governor had visited the scene of the accident for an
on-the-spot assessment when the angry youth booed him and were moving
towards him before his security aides promptly spirited him into his
vehicle and sped off but not without the youth throwing missiles at his
convoy.

The deputy chairman of the Lokoja Local Government, Mr Lawrence Ikuboroje,
who spoke to newsmen, called for the completion of the dualised road, which
he said would reduce the constant accidents being recorded in the area,
adding that many lives and vehicles were lost in the accidents.

FRSC sector commander, Mr Asaniyan, who said that corpses of the victims
and the injured were taken to the state general hospital, condemned the
activities of the traders, stating that the traders, in many cases, had
abandoned their stalls inside the market to come to the road to display
their wares which he said were constituting serious traffic jam on the
highway.

He called on the state government to close down the market until the
traders complied with the regulation of moving back to their stalls,
stressing that accidents occur at the spot on a daily basis.

Asaniyan also called on the management of Dangote Group of Companies to
always train their drivers on traffic rules and regulations, explaining
that the drivers had, on several occasions, caused untold hardship to road
users.

Meanwhile, Kogi State governor, Alhaji Ibrahim Idris, has expressed shock
over the accident.

According to a statement issued by a Special Adviser to the governor, Mr
Zakari Adamu, the governor lamented the accident and prayed to God to give
the families of the deceased the fortitude to bear the loss.

The governor also said that his heart was with the families of the dead and
to those who were injured in the accident and prayed to God to heal them.

In Benin City, Nigerian Tribune gathered that the trailer, a Mack, with
registration number XG 633 BEN, had brake failure and was trying to avert
running into the market when it swerved to the opposite direction, crushing
four people.

The victims, according to eyewitnesses, were a middle-aged woman whose
husband and children were waiting on the other side of the road, two
commercial motorcycle riders and a young man.

The dead woman, who was identified as Mrs. Rita Oshawo, was said to be a
nurse.

The trailer driver reportedly tried to avoid a group of street traders, who
had engaged the state task force team in a heated argument on the road,
when he suddenly lost control.

The driver of the trailer was also said to have sustained serious injuries.

The Edo State Sector Commander of the FRSC, Mr. Henry Olatunji, warned
traders against street trading which, he said, was illegal and could
endanger their lives and the lives of other road users.

He said that two persons died in the accident and that their bodies had
been deposited in a mortuary in Benin City while the injured were taken to
the University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH).

While will you guys criticise the poster? he is telling the absolute truth. Is it a church where holiness is not preached. though the bible says judge not so that you will not be judged. But we all have to tell ourselves the truth do we have to be ripped by some sweet mouthed pastor? If you meet someone on the street that tells you give your life to christ if not you will die. we see the person as a messanger of doom. But we see someone that says it is well with you, you will make it, be rich and other sweet stories we see the person as the right massanger. How long are we going to be decieving ourselves?. Lets do more that decide we dicern.
Just listen to yourself, you have succeded in saying absolutely nothing. The only thing intelligent about you is your ability to type www.nairaland.com. What do you know about holiness? Telling someone who is already in sin to repent or else he would die, what good news have you communicated to him. He knows he would definitely die in sin if he choses not to repent. Jesus while being nailed on the cross did not threaten or cursed his accuser but he prayed for them to be forgiven, if you are sensible that action should mean something to you.

I have absolutely nothing against giving in churches it is wrong teachings such as the twisted version of compulsary tithing and first fruits that is very popular in false churchs like CEC that i vehemently oppose. I also oppose church leaders/pastors fleecing the flock in anyway and also church pastors who live a flamboyant lifestyle whilst distorting scriptue to justfy it. Your bleached pastor is very notorious for this and he shall surely give account to our maker on that day.
Ignorance gone on rampage, i attend CEC and nobody has ever forced me to pay tithes or first fruits so dont say what you dont know.Tithing or first fruit is a matter of choice based on your convictions. You are becoming more annoying by the day,Pastor Chris is fleecing his flock,so whats your business there, are we complaining? If not for the fact that your master (lucifer) is hell bent on destroying you and would not rest until he has acheived that except you repent.
Who cares what you oppose or not, a faceless nobody like you that wants cheap popularity at the expense of a man who at just 17years old has acheived what you could only dream of acheiving in your whole life. Jobs/VacanciesWhats Wrong With Graduates In This Country? by maddock(op): 6:24pm On Jan 23, 2010
I have been really upset recently about some graduates in this country especially about those who are yet to get a job.Another reason for high unemployment rate in Nigeria could also be as a result of what should i want to refer to as the dumbness of some graduate. A friend recently posted an online advert for recruitments of a certain positions with specific instructions to indicating their prefered location amongst the various locations listed in the ad. Could you believe that 70% of those that applied did not adhere to this very simple instruction. Out of his magnamity he posted a rejoinder in which he pointed out that indicating the prefered location is a major prequisite for shortlisting. After this rejoinder can you imagine that 45% of those that responded again did not indicate their prefered location, this is inspite of this second reminder. When he was narating this to me, i just kept on wondering, the type of graduate our schools are churning out when they cant read and understand an instruction of not more than 12 lines. How were they able to graduate in the first instance,Can someone help me out on this?

Hmm so many stupid people running haywire here, from the foolish comments of tudor, kunleoshob etal its so certain why our beloved country is on the verge of being a failed one. Imagine someone like this two fools being the president of this country, what do you think would become of the nation. There are so many positive things to learn from the internet , take the creator of facebook, nairaland as a perfect example these guys are raking in money, then somebody in his right mind would spend his time learning how to make explosive tokill another person because if he felt he is being owed some pittence. Lets assume for argument sake that christ embassy is even owing him money what has that got to do with Pastor Chris. Is Pastor the one in charge of menial jobs, comon guys lets not just open our mouth to say rubbish because we have to talk and talk is cheap we should use our brains cos that why God gave us brains in the first instance.
