[quote author=HeavenlyHolines post=94156412]What Zacchaeus did what a clear mark of conversion. When u become become born again, the spirit of God within u bring conviction. You don't need anyone to teach all things but the Holy Ghost. If Jesus didn't say such doesn't mean it's not scriptural. Restitution means different thing to different people in different situation. It can be confession of wrong done to others like in the case of Paul in Act 23 or repayment of money like in the case of Paul pleading for Onesimus based on the wrong he has done to Philemon his master. The new testament believers understand it. Just as word Rapture is not in the bible literally doesn't mean it's not in the bible. If you don't believe it, no problem. ShalomYou didn’t address the fact that Zacchaeus was not a Christian and that he was trying to obey Old Testament law. That was deliberate,eh? |
author=HeavenlyHolines post=94145837]In the case of Zacchaeus, Paul when intervening in the case between Onesimus and Philemon, Paul when he insulted the chief high priest. They did restitution which a true mark of repentance. Restitution is making wrong right for past or present deeds It can be a various form depending on what has been done. It shows u have truly repented. u can't steal someone pen and u say u r born again n the pen is still with u. U will have to return back. Just as confession of sin is not justify, so repentance without restitution (if u have any) is true conversion. In the two other cases about Onesimus and Philemon on one hand, and Paul and the Chief high priest on the other hand, I can’t see anything called restitution . A common theme in the Bible is the instruction to maintain harmonious relationships among brethren. “If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men.” Romans 12:18 NKJV “Finally, brethren, farewell. Become complete. Be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace will be with you.” II Corinthians 13:11 NKJV So, under the new covenant, our actions should be guided by “the law of peace “. |

When i say “we”, i mean christians under the new covenant. Restitution was given as a law to the Jews under the old covenant. In the case of Zacchaeus, you must observe two things. 1. Zacchaeus was not a Christian, but a jew, and so was bound by Old Testament laws. 2. Jesus didn’t command Zacchaeus to do restitution. He offered to do it himself. |
quote author=HeavenlyHolines post=94125344]The bible is our standard and Jesus is our role model. Going to church, giving alms, singing Christian songs or bearing a Christian name doesn't make u a Christian (Christ like). The bible is a against polygamy. No matter who u are,God is a respecter of nobody. Once u repent, u must do restitution. So if u have more than one wife,d one u pay her bride price first is d wife God recognised others will have to find the square root. Don't say our ancestors or grand parents did this or that. God will judge based on his wordWhere in the Bible, and under the new covenant, is a Christian mandated to do restitution? |
Anyiiii I had to open another account to conceal my identity. Please I need help. I have gone to several pastors and churches for deliverance, yet, no solution. I'm 35years old lady and I'm not yet married. My elder sister is 37years old, still not married. My female younger cousins are in their early 30s too but not yet married. They said it's forces from the family but we have carried out all sorts of deliverance but no way. We are all graduates, doing well and very beautiful. I'm almost giving up hope on this marriage matter. Please I need a solution to this problemTime reveals all of God’s plans for man. Do not be desperate lest men take advantage of your situation. At the right time God will bring your man to you. The time may be tomorrow, next week, next month, or next year. You must learn to be patient with Him so you don’t marry the wrong person after waiting for so long. In your waiting, make sure you work on yourself. There are many things I’d like to share but they are private. I have sent you a PM. God bless. |

So the righteousness of God is faith in Christ Jesus. It is not in living right or right living. This is the Bible’s definition of righteousness as touching a Christian. Oga Righteousness, abi i lie? |

[quote author=Preciousgirl post=93598737]What are signs What are wondersMiracles are supernatural occurrences that defy natural laws. For example, a woman with no womb giving birth. Other examples are raising the dead , turning water to wine, feeding the multitude with five loaves and two fishes, opening the eyes of the blind, and walking on water. Wonders are simply the impressions that the miracles leave on people. They are strange occurrences that cause the beholder to marvel. In the Bible, wonders are manifested in divine operations. You can say that miracles and wonders are synonymous. While a wonder appeals to the imagination, a sign is intended to appeal to the understanding. Signs are the underlying messages or behind every miracle. Signs are indicators. In other words, signs are what or who the miracles point to. In the Bible, there are signs behind every miracles that Jesus performed. For example, when He fed the multitude, He was teaching them that He was the bread that came down from heaven. “And when they found Him on the other side of the sea, they said to Him, “Rabbi, when did You come here?” Jesus answered them and said, “Most assuredly, I say to you, you seek Me, not because you saw the signs, but because you ate of the loaves and were filled. Do not labor for the food which perishes, but for the food which endures to everlasting life, which the Son of Man will give you, because God the Father has set His seal on Him.”” John 6:25-27 NKJV The miracle was that they ate of the loaves and were filled, but they failed to see the signs that He was the Messiah that would fill the longing of the soul. However, their eyes were fixated on the miracles rather than the signs. Also, there was a vital sign in Jesus turning water to wine. “Now there were set there six waterpots of stone, according to the manner of purification of the Jews, containing twenty or thirty gallons apiece. Jesus said to them, “Fill the waterpots with water.” And they filled them up to the brim.” John 2:6-7 NKJV In the foregoing, Jesus didn’t turn a regular or ordinary water to wine. He turned water meant for purification to water. This information is of critical importance. The jews believed washing with water would purify them from their sins. Jesus turned this same water to wine. The wine represents His blood. There’s another miracle in the 9th chapter of St. John gospel. “And He said to him, “Go, wash in the pool of Siloam” (which is translated, Sent). So he went and washed, and came back seeing.” John 9:7 NKJV A man born blind received his sight. This is a miracle. What about the sign? Ever wondered why Jesus instructed the blind man to go wash himself in the pool of Siloam, even though there were other pools in the city. Siloam means sent. Who’s the sent? Jesus! He that washes himself in the sent(Jesus) is made whole. This is the sign. |

It’s actually a parable. Some say it’s not a parable because Jesus mentioned specific names such as Lazarus and Abraham. They say that not knowing the meanings and significance of those names. What’s more, the focal point of this parable is not Hades, but about the lost. In this parable, there are three characters. The first is the dead, rich man. We know he is Jewish for he calls Abraham father. The rich man represents the nation of Israel which had long dined at the table of the Lord’s abundance. Israel was rich in favor, blessed on account of God’s gracious promises to Abraham. It’s important to state that God’s definition of riches is different from man’s. In God’s dictionary, the rich man is not the one with abundant material possessions. “And He said to them, “Take heed and beware of covetousness, for one’s life does not consist in the abundance of the things he possesses.”” Luke 12:15 NKJV The rich man is rich towards God. The rich man is rich in salvation and the knowledge of Christ. “For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich.” II Corinthians 8:9 NKJV The other two characters in the story are, Abraham and Lazarus. Abraham means “Father of many nations” (Gen 17:5). This is a prophetic name. Abraham is not merely the Jews’ father, but the father of all who believe (Rom 4:16). Finally, there’s Lazarus who sat outside the rich man’s gate. If the rich man represents the Jews who were favored, then Lazarus represents the Gentiles who longed to eat the crumbs that fell from the rich man’s table (Matt 15:27). Lazarus is the reject who is received and the lost who is found. In the parable of the rich man and Lazarus, Jesus is NOT saying that the rich are going to hell and the poor are going to heaven. Nor is he saying if you neglect the poor you’ll burn forever. The rich man’s problem was not that he was rich, for Abraham was exceedingly rich, but he wasn’t hungry. Only the hungry eat the Bread of Life and only the thirsty drink the Living Water. The man was like those who boast, “I am rich and do not need a thing,” and to whom Jesus responds “you do not realize that you are wretched, poor, blind, and naked” (Rev 3:17). In the parable Jesus is talking about Israel. The Israelites thought they were special on account of their father Abraham. “If you were Abraham’s children,” said Jesus, “then you would do what Abraham did” (John 8:39). And what did Abraham do? He trusted God. He rejoiced in Jesus (John 8:56). In the parable Abraham tells the rich man that he had received “good things” (v.25). Like the rich man the nation of Israel had also received good things such as God’s favor, the law, the prophets, and most especially, the promise of salvation . But they did not receive Jesus. They enjoyed the blessings, but scorned the Blesser. They received the gifts, but not the Giver. The rich man is not lost because he was rich or stingy. He’s lost because he doesn’t know Jesus. What about Lazarus? Why does he end up in a good place? Jesus provides few clues. In the story Lazarus says no words that we might memorize and he does no deeds we might emulate. The beggar is wordless and deedless. The only significant detail Jesus tells us is his name, which means “God has helped.” In this world there are two kinds of people; those who help themselves and those who say, “God, help me!” The rich man was the former; Lazarus was the latter. The rich man trusted in himself; Lazarus trusted in the Lord. Lazarus wasn’t blessed because he was poor, but because he was hungry and thirsty. “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness.” He wanted what the Lord offered, and this made all the difference. God loves to give good gifts to all, but not all receive: He has filled the hungry with good things but has sent the rich away empty. (Luke 1:53) God bless. |

quote author=haddeylium post=93722896]All you needed to do was a proper word study and this would have been made clearer to you. You see my friend, biblical authority lies in its correct interpretation. A word may have a meaning in one part of the Bible, but have a different meaning in another part. Same with usage and applicability. Be careful not to give your own meaning to a text, which was never intended by the author. Let’s do a brief word study of the word “obey”. “in flaming fire taking vengeance on those who do not know God, and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. II Thessalonians 1:8 NKJV “Since you have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit in sincere love of the brethren, love one another fervently with a pure heart,” I Peter 1:22 NKJV “For the time has come for judgment to begin at the house of God; and if it begins with us first, what will be the end of those who do not obey the gospel of God?” I Peter 4:17 NKJV “But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah says, “ LORD, who has believed our report?”” Romans 10:16 NKJV From all that’s written, now let me ask you my friend, what do you obey in Hebrews 5:9? A set of commandments or the gospel? |

[ quote author=AntiChristian post=92263749]To every story, there's a beginning, a middle, and an ending. Reading the middle and the ending, while ignoring the beginning will only make you arrive at a wrong understanding of the Bible and a warped knowledge of God. The law was never God's plan for the nation of Israel. His intention was grace and grace only. The law was added because of transgression. “What purpose then does the law serve? It was added because of transgressions, till the Seed should come to whom the promise was made; and it was appointed through angels by the hand of a mediator.” Galatians 3:19 NKJV What was the transgression ? Transgression was rejecting God's commandment. This is the commandment: “Now therefore, if you will indeed obey My voice and keep My covenant, then you shall be a special treasure to Me above all people; for all the earth is Mine.” Exodus 19:5 NKJV The only covenant at this point was the Abrahamic covenant, which is justification by faith. So God gave them a proposition. Now, see their response to God's proposition: “Then all the people answered together and said, “All that the LORD has spoken we will do.” So Moses brought back the words of the people to the LORD.” Exodus 19:8 On the surface, it looks as if they agreed with God. Not really. Pay special attention to the phrase "we will do". They wanted to do something to get something. They wanted to be a kingdom of priests by obeying a list of commandments. But God had a different plan for them, which is justification by faith (grace) The writer of Hebrews affirms this: “For indeed the gospel was preached to us as well as to them; but the word which they heard did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in those who heard it.” Hebrews 4:2 NKJV So they rejected grace and opted for works. They wanted to be justified by works- by what they do. God is a gentleman ; He respects everybody's will As a result, the law was given to them. Go back to the Galatians 3:19 again It says the law was appointed or given through angels in the hand of a mediator (Moses) I'm sure you're aware that there's a consequence or punishment for every disobedience of the law. The enforcement officers in this case are the angels. God is therefore not responsible for the death and curses you listed above. He can never be part of anything that ministers death and condemnation. |
[quote author=AntiChristian post=92263151]The main purpose of this article is to show some brutal harsh punishments found in the Bible which Christians and Jews have no problems with, yet if they find a punishment in the Quran against the Jews they will suddenly raise their heads and start crying foul play. We now quote the relevant passages which show some harsh and humiliating punishments found in the Bible: 1. Deut 23:1 He that is wounded in the stones, or hath his privy member cut off, shall not enter into the congregation of the LORD. 2. Deut 23:2 A bastard shall not enter into the congregation of the LORD; even to his tenth generation shall he not enter into the congregation of the LORD. So basically if you are a bastard, or have your penis cut off, then you cannot enter into the congregation of the lord, talk about humiliating and harsh! Another punishment: 3. Deuteronomy Chapter 28 15-68 15 But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command thee this day; that all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee: 16 Cursed shalt thou be in the city, and cursed shalt thou be in the field. 17 Cursed shall be thy basket and thy store. 18 Cursed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy land, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep. 19 Cursed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and cursed shalt thou be when thou goest out. 20 The LORD shall send upon thee cursing, vexation, and rebuke, in all that thou settest thine hand unto for to do, until thou be destroyed, and until thou perish quickly; because of the wickedness of thy doings, whereby thou hast forsaken me. 21 The LORD shall make the pestilence cleave unto thee, until he have consumed thee from off the land, whither thou goest to possess it. 22 The LORD shall smite thee with a consumption, and with a fever, and with an inflammation, and with an extreme burning, and with the sword, and with blasting, and with mildew; and they shall pursue thee until thou perish. 23 And thy heaven that is over thy head shall be brass, and the earth that is under thee shall be iron. 24 The LORD shall make the rain of thy land powder and dust: from heaven shall it come down upon thee, until thou be destroyed. 25 The LORD shall cause thee to be smitten before thine enemies: thou shalt go out one way against them, and flee seven ways before them: and shalt be removed into all the kingdoms of the earth. 26 And thy carcass shall be meat unto all fowls of the air, and unto the beasts of the earth, and no man shall fray them away. 27 The LORD will smite thee with the botch of Egypt, and with the emerods, and with the scab, and with the itch, whereof thou canst not be healed. 28 The LORD shall smite thee with madness, and blindness, and astonishment of heart: 29 And thou shalt grope at noonday, as the blind gropeth in darkness, and thou shalt not prosper in thy ways: and thou shalt be only oppressed and spoiled evermore, and no man shall save thee. 30 Thou shalt betroth a wife, and another man shall lie with her: thou shalt build an house, and thou shalt not dwell therein: thou shalt plant a vineyard, and shalt not gather the grapes thereof. 31 Thine ox shall be slain before thine eyes, and thou shalt not eat thereof: thine ass shall be violently taken away from before thy face, and shall not be restored to thee: thy sheep shall be given unto thine enemies, and thou shalt have none to rescue them. 32 Thy sons and thy daughters shall be given unto another people, and thine eyes shall look, and fail with longing for them all the day long; and there shall be no might in thine hand. 33 The fruit of thy land, and all thy labors, shall a nation which thou knowest not eat up; and thou shalt be only oppressed and crushed alway: 34 So that thou shalt be mad for the sight of thine eyes which thou shalt see. 35 The LORD shall smite thee in the knees, and in the legs, with a sore botch that cannot be healed, from the sole of thy foot unto the top of thy head. 36 The LORD shall bring thee, and thy king which thou shalt set over thee, unto a nation which neither thou nor thy fathers have known; and there shalt thou serve other gods, wood and stone. 37 And thou shalt become an astonishment, a proverb, and a byword, among all nations whither the LORD shall lead thee. 38 Thou shalt carry much seed out into the field, and shalt gather but little in; for the locust shall consume it. 39 Thou shalt plant vineyards, and dress them, but shalt neither drink of the wine, nor gather the grapes; for the worms shall eat them. 40 Thou shalt have olive trees throughout all thy coasts, but thou shalt not anoint thyself with the oil; for thine olive shall cast his fruit. 41 Thou shalt beget sons and daughters, but thou shalt not enjoy them; for they shall go into captivity. 42 All thy trees and fruit of thy land shall the locust consume. 43 The stranger that is within thee shall get up above thee very high; and thou shalt come down very low. 44 He shall lend to thee, and thou shalt not lend to him: he shall be the head, and thou shalt be the tail. 45 Moreover all these curses shall come upon thee, and shall pursue thee, and overtake thee, till thou be destroyed; because thou hearkenedst not unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which he commanded thee: 46 And they shall be upon thee for a sign and for a wonder, and upon thy seed for ever. 47 Because thou servedst not the LORD thy God with joyfulness, and with gladness of heart, for the abundance of all things; 48 Therefore shalt thou serve thine enemies which the LORD shall send against thee, in hunger, and in thirst, and in unclothedness, and in want of all things: and he shall put a yoke of iron upon thy neck, until he have destroyed thee. 49 The LORD shall bring a nation against thee from far, from the end of the earth, as swift as the eagle flieth; a nation whose tongue thou shalt not understand; 50 A nation of fierce countenance, which shall not regard the person of the old, nor show favor to the young: 51 And he shall eat the fruit of thy cattle, and the fruit of thy land, until thou be destroyed: which also shall not leave thee either corn, wine, or oil, or the increase of thy kine, or flocks of thy sheep, until he have destroyed thee. 52 And he shall besiege thee in all thy gates, until thy high and fenced walls come down, wherein thou trustedst, throughout all thy land: and he shall besiege thee in all thy gates throughout all thy land, which the LORD thy God hath given thee. 53 And thou shalt eat the fruit of thine own body, the flesh of thy sons and of thy daughters, which the LORD thy God hath given thee, in the siege, and in the straitness, wherewith thine enemies shall distress thee: 54 So that the man that is tender among you, and very delicate, his eye shall be evil toward his brother, and toward the wife of his bosom, and toward the remnant of his children which he shall leave: 55 So that he will not give to any of them of the flesh of his children whom he shall eat: because he hath nothing left him in the siege, and in the straitness, wherewith thine enemies shall distress thee in all thy gates. 56 The tender and delicate woman among you, which would not adventure to set the sole of her foot upon the ground for delicateness and tenderness, her eye shall be evil toward the husband of her bosom, and toward her son, and toward her daughter, 57 And toward her young one that cometh out from between her feet, and toward her children which she shall bear: for she shall eat them for want of all things secretly in the siege and straitness, wherewith thine enemy shall distress thee in thy gates. 58 If thou wilt not observe to do all the words of this law that are written in this book, that thou mayest fear this glorious and fearful name, THE LORD THY GOD; 59 Then the LORD will make thy plagues wonderful, and the plagues of thy seed, even great plagues, and of long continuance, and sore sicknesses, and of long continuance. 60 Moreover he will bring upon thee all the diseases of Egypt, which thou wast afraid of; and they shall cleave unto thee. 61 Also every sickness, and every plague, which is not written in the book of this law, them will the LORD bring upon thee, until thou be destroyed. 62 And ye shall be left few in number, whereas ye were as the stars of heaven for multitude; because thou wouldest not obey the voice of the LORD thy God. 63 And it shall come to pass, that as the LORD rejoiced over you to do you good, and to multiply you; so the LORD will rejoice over you to destroy you, and to bring you to nought; and ye shall be plucked from off the land whither thou goest to possess it. 64 And the LORD shall scatter thee among all people, from the one end of the earth even unto the other; and there thou shalt serve other gods, which neither thou nor thy fathers have known, even wood and stone. 65 And among these nations shalt thou find no ease, neither shall the sole of thy foot have rest: but the LORD shall give thee there a trembling heart, and failing of eyes, and sorrow of mind: 66 And thy life shall hang in doubt before thee; and thou shalt fear day and night, and shalt have none assurance of thy life: 67 In the morning thou shalt say, Would God it were even! and at even thou shalt say, Would God it were morning! for the fear of thine heart wherewith thou shalt fear, and for the sight of thine eyes which thou shalt see. 68 And the LORD shall bring thee into Egypt again with ships, by the way whereof I spake unto thee, Thou shalt see it no more again: and there ye shall be sold unto your enemies for bondmen and bondwomen, and no man shall buy you. So talk about harsh and humiliating! In summary from those passages God will punish the sinful Jews as follows. 1- The Lord will kill them by sickness such as the fever and heart-attacks. 2- The Lord will kill them by the sword. 3- The Lord will cause the Jews to flee 7 ways, meaning being chased from all sides. 4- The Lord will remove them from the earth. 5- The Lord will cause your wife to sleep with other men. 6- Animals and beasts will eat your dead bodies. 7- The Lord will give your children to other people, and you will watch this, and feel a lot of sorrow but you will not be able to do anything about it. 8- You will get children, but will not enjoy them since they will become slaves/prisoners. 9- You will eat your own kids because you have nothing left to eat! That is what you call very harsh and very humiliating. So if Christians and Jews have a problem with Allah turning some sinful Jews into apes and pigs, then they should definitely have a problem with their own God for doing very harsh and humiliating punishments as well. Advocatejare, Sagenaija, Agentnairaland which of these punishment do you deserve from your Lord for your hypocrisy? Mr. Man, go and learn the meaning of contextual interpretation of the Bible. Don't just lift a verse or chapter from the Bible, and then give it your own interpretation. |
If you had read that book with a hard yellow cover, and with its attractive pictorial illustrations in elementary school, then you must have learnt that the story in the 6th chapter of Genesis is that of fallen angels who made human bodies for themselves. According to this narrative, the fallen angels are the sons of God who saw pretty women on earth and wanted to live with them. So they came to earth and married these women. When the angels and their wives had babies, these babies were different, and they kept growing bigger and bigger, and getting stronger and stronger, until they became giants. I also believed this because it was compelling back then. Only that it couldn't have been true! First, there's no scripture that unequivocally says that the "sons of God" in Genesis 6:2 refers to spirit beings, or that says the expression is exclusively for angels. Jesus makes it clear in Matthew 22:29-30 that angels do not marry and consequently do not reproduce: “Jesus answered and said to them, “You are mistaken, not knowing the Scriptures nor the power of God. For in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like angels of God in heaven.” Matthew 22:29-30 NKJV Second, and in addition to this, we observe that this does not fit God's design of "kind after kind" in Genesis 1:24-25. “Then God said, “Let the earth bring forth the living creature according to its kind: cattle and creeping thing and beast of the earth, each according to its kind”; and it was so. And God made the beast of the earth according to its kind, cattle according to its kind, and everything that creeps on the earth according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.” Genesis 1:24-25 NKJV Who then are the sons of God and the daughters of men ? Some have argued that the sons of God in Genesis 6:2 are fallen angels citing Job 1:6 as affirmation. Context is key in Bible interpretation and so we'll have a better understanding reading from Genesis 4, which describes the ungodly generation of Cain. However, in Genesis 5, we observe the godly descendants of Seth. The descendants of Seth were called by the name of the Lord (Genesis 4:25,26). This is not true in reference to the descendants of Cain. The servants of God in all ages have been called the sons of God (Job 1:6; Romans 8:14; 1 John 3:2). The character of Seth's descendants proves that they were the sons of God (Genesis 5:3-29; Genesis 6:9; Genesis 7:1). The character of Cain's descendants proves that they were not the sons of God, for Cain Himself was a murderer, a fugitive, and vagabond (Genesis 4:8-14), and his descendants were polygamists and murderers (Genesis 4:17-23). So the contrast observed in Genesis 6:2 is between the descendants of Seth( Sons of God) and the descendants of Cain ( daughters of men). |
Just by comparing the separate lives of The Lord Jesus Christ and Muhammed, and what they achieved, it's easy to identify the religion of peace. It's also easy to identify the false religion and the false prophet. The one that claims to come from God must reflect the heart of God. Let's examine Muhammed's resume, and to be candid, it is not impressive by all standards. * Muhammad was convinced at a time that he was demon-possessed and tried repeatedly to commit suicide . * He admittedly delivered revelations from the devil and complained that he was a victim of a magic spell that gave him delusional thoughts and false beliefs. * He supported his religion by robbing people * He started a war with Mecca when he had the chance to live in peace in Medina. * He had people assassinated for criticizing his religion. * Beheaded hundreds of Jews for trying to defend themselves. * Ordered his followers to execute anyone who leaves his religion. * Commanded his followers to violently subjugate the entire world. *Tortured people for money. * Bought, owned, sold and traded black African slaves and claimed satan looked like a black man. * Had sex with a pre-pubescent 9-year-old. * Had at least nine wives at a time when his own revelations only allowed four. *Married the wife of his son after causing the divorce by lusting after her. * Had sex with his slave girls. *Broke the promise he made to his wife that he would stop having sex with his slave girls after he got caught by his wife Hafsa. * Allowed his followers to rape their female captives . * Took the most beautiful captives to his own tent. * Told his followers they could beat their wives to subjection. * Declared that women are stupid and that their testimony is unreliable. * Promoted idolatry’s pagan practices like kissing a black stone and bowing down to the Kaaba, Plagiarised, forged and passed them off as revelations from God. * Portrayed God as deceptive and Jesus as a complete failure and has kept a lot of people from knowing the true God than any other false prophets in history. By contrast, Jesus boasts of a very impressive CV. * Jesus created the universe, sustains the universe, laid aside his glory so that he could enter creation as a human being, to suffer for our sakes. * With respect to His human nature, He was born of a virgin, fulfilled many Old Testament prophecies, and miraculously fed thousands of people on more than one occasion. * Walked on water, and could calm storms simply by speaking. * Healed the sick, cleanse the lepers, cast out demons, raised the dead, made the lame walk, gave sight to the blind and hearing to the deaf. * He gave hope to the oppressed, confronted and rebuked their oppressors. * Broke down the barriers that kept people divided by their race, class and gender. * Ordered His followers to love everyone including their enemies. * Commanded His followers not to use violence in His name. * Endured torture and death for our sins. * Told the father to forgive those those who crucified Him. * Rose from the dead and gave us His righteousness so that we can know God. Who wouldn’t love and desire a saviour like this? |
quote author=AntiChristian post=91629588]Lol. Abdull, Just listen to yourself. So you agree Jesus never called Himself a prophet but He did what prophets do. Then I can safely say that although Jesus didn't unequivocally say He was the Son of God, He did and still does only what God does! ![]() |
While you're at that, it may also interest you to know that your Quaran affirms the sinlessness of Jesus. Quaran 19:19 -......(The angel said I am only a Messenger from your Lord, [to announce] to you the gift of a righteous son." - Hilal- Khan -( He said) Gabriel said to her I am only a messenger of thy Lord, that I may bestow on thee) that Allah may bestow on you (a faultless son) a righteous son.- Tafsir Ibn AbbassEven your Muhammad, who is supposedly a model for humanity, is not given such honour in your Quaran. |
