Ladoja was never in PDP as at that time. He had been in Accord since 2011. He contested the Governorship election as an Accord candidate in 2011 and 2015. Ladoja had nothing to do with PDP as at then except for the fact that his party supported GEJ as president.

Only Akala and Seyi left the party after losing its structure to Teslim Folarin. PDP's best bet then was Akala who came third even as a Labour party candidate.

The PDP came 4th and your almighty Seyi came 5th. Even if they gave the party structure to Seyi, the best they could get was 4th position because Akala already had Ogbomosho, Ladoja and Ajimobi shared Ibadan. Ajimobi had both Oke-ogun and Oyo.

Now, Seyi is only popular in Ibadan. The only thing APC need to do now is to keep Akala in the party. And now, rumour has it that Olamiju Akala (Akala's son) will deputise Adelabu.

Oyo state is already a lost battle for PDP.

Akala joined the APC after 2015 with an assumption that the gentleman agreement he had with Ajimobi will be respected in 2019...
