If you need to book, quickly book ET from Lagos and move. Things can change anytime.
Baldie:
Hello guys

Please does anyone have good information relating to landing in recent times. Been hearing some stories about Copr holders not being allowed to travel as a result of not having authorization letters. I’m about to book my flight so I need to know the current situation from whoever has information from a trusted source.

Thanks!

After your quarantine walk-in and apply for SIN you don't need a proof of address again and you will get it immediately.
Dejavu44:

Okay, might have to walk into a bank after quarantine to get more information.
Applying for a new SIN online requires submitting a proof of address.

It's not risky, ircc have said before you travel let us know if there is any change in circumstance having a baby is a change and a friend did same. But there might just be a delay. Any decision they decide to take it's fine, I just stated what I know.
uche13:

I think this is very risky. If their passports are submitted, stamped and returned efore the baby is born, I am not sure IRCC will be able to do anything again. They'll then need to travel without the baby and later sponsor. They are so unpredictable now. My passport was processed in 10 days which means this can be the same case for them or even less.

It is better to go with the advise of waiting for the baby to come before submitting passport

Yes, you will need to increase your pof to accommodate the new addition and submit proof with the passport.
Nenyezz:
Will ircc ask for increased pof at that stage because of the new baby? If one gives birth after AOR, will they need to increase their pof?

Submit your passports, when the baby is delivered get a passport and update ircc they will inform you of the next step and make sure you have enough pof as at the time you update them. Congratulations on your PPR

Hello House

Pls do I still go ahead and submit the passports or wait till she delivers and raise a webform immediately to inform IRCC or we should raise the webform now and inform them.
Pls experts in the house kindly advice or if you have been in such situation pls what did u do.

The nysc experience will definitely count as long as you can get a duly signed reference letter in ircc format from your ppa stating you work there. But because of the current draw score, with 1yr experience your score will be very low. You can read up on ways to improve your score and which will favour you
Jaycenvirtualse:

Thank you for response. Since I have little of admin duties experience during NYSC. it can't count right?

There is actually no program I know of you can go for without an experience that's why it's called a skilled worker program. You can go through the school route
Jaycenvirtualse:
Hello everyone please I need your advice on what program to go for. I am kind of confused. I studied Economics but do not really have an experience. I only have my NYSC where I did little of admin duties. I feel its not much of an experience. I haven't been able to get a job since then. My questions are as follows:

What program would you advice me to go for based on the above?

Secondly what program would you advice someone with no experience to go for?
Thanks.

What is important is the duties not the title. As long as they are same you fine. The first name was just a few months and the other is the current one. Just leave it as it is. All the best
Aibisoye0:
Hello fam,

Hope we are all keeping safe?
I have an issue? I am currently on a role that I started over 3 years ago. When I started the role I was called Human resource Officer then in a few month there was a change in the name to Human Resource Administrator same role duties not a promotion. In filling my EE profile I put my role as Human resource Administrator and claimed 3 years for it
Now my company wants to mention both Human resource Officer and Administrator and give dates on my letter. Can I edit this on my application and change it as on the letter or decline the ITA correct and wait for another draw?

Who has been in this boat before?

Your wife should be the PA as age is by her side but it depends on how many years of work experience she has. Also, she will need to get an additional certificate to gain more points.

The place you record your activities for the past 10yrs nothing should be left out and you don't need to provide references for whatever you fill there,as long as you didn't claim points in your work history for it.
Diavolo:
thank you. Please what exactly do you mean by personal history post ITA

Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 9 by magd: 9:16pm On Jun 13, 2020
Since it's not going to affect your scores you don't need the reference, you can add it to personal history post ITA
Diavolo:
Please I need clarification. So for my work experience, I have worked in 4 companies, spending two months in this particular organization. Upon reaching out to him for my reference letter, he declined giving flimsy excuses. If I delete the time I spent there from my work experience, I will still have over three years experience, so it doesn't affect my crs scores, just that I will have an unexplained gap of two months inactivity.
My question is should I still continue begging him for the reference or just free him and continue despite the three months of inactivity between jobs.

I'm yet to get ITA.

I inputed when I concluded my final exam which was November. So from Jan 2017 to Nov 2018
ThowLou:

What month did you input as end month? Is December 2018 okay? Mine was a part time program so I chose part time and inputted 2 years as the number of years the program. The program was from Jan 2017, inputting 2018 would make it look like my program was one year. I don’t want to contradict myself while filing the application.
Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 9 by magd: 2:27am On Jun 10, 2020
Same with me, msc unilag pertime and due to strike it dragged to first quarter of 2019 but I inputed 2018 as that's what the statement of result shows.
ThowLou:
Good morning all. I am trying to create my EE profile but I need some clarifications. For my MSc degree, for the education history part, I chose part-time because my course at Unilag was a part time course. Where o have a challenge now is selecting the year I completed my degree. My statement of result states 2018 but strike dragged the program to 2019, my WES evaluation also states 2018. What year is it advisable I put as the end year. 2018 or 2019? Thank you
Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 9 by magd: 4:21pm On Jun 07, 2020
If you had 8 in listening the result would have been okay. So you need to rewrite and get atleast 8777. There are courses to take to boost your crs cima, bcs and others just use the search button to check which you can comfortably take. Also, if your job is in demand in any province you can dive into the pool with your current score that's if your eca is ready and might get lucky to be invited by the province. While you do that improve your score. All the best.

I had L-7.5W-7,S-7.5,R-7 in my IELTS so I was told I have to write it again in order to get 8,7,7,7 in LWSR respectively. You need to remark writing if not your crs will be low. Also it depends on other factors like your education, age, work experience. All will determine if you are good to go.

Please my sister has been trying to pay for her biometric, RPRF & Application fee since 4 days ago from her gtb account but keeps showing declined. We have more than the required sum in the account to pay for it. Did you experience such while trying to make payment?

Secondly, can the payment be done from someone else's account on her behalf?

Thanks in anticipation of your assistance.
