Dpharisee: Let me educate you further, how much loan has the US given to us, how much infrastructure has America built in Nigeria, how much knowledge has America transferred to you, show me an American project in Nigeria done by Nigerian companies? China helped us in the fight against Boko Haram under GEJ while America was claiming human rights violation because they wanted BH to have an upper hand as a way of discrediting GEJ in favour of Buhari I am also against the high interest loans we received from Europe and America. However, those loans were free of conditions and European and some North American conglomerates opened showed in nigeria. E.g Guinness, Heineken, pwc, total, chevron, Delloitte, kpmg and some here and there. P.s. I am not saying the American and European loans helped us but atleast the money was allowed to circulate to our own people but our leaders mismanaged it. On the contrary, there Chinese loan is still a high interest loan that flows back to them. The Chinese projects inNigeria are paid for by those loans but they only use Chinese workers. The guise of building infrastructures without training the locals is just as callous as it gets. The whole thing seems like the Chinese are giving a loan to themselves but Nigerians will pay them the value of the loan and the interest. It’s a loose loose situation for us!! |

China is helping Africa to build infrastructure, schools and healthcare while America gives 'aid' in form of military hardware. Show me a road built with US aid in Nigeria. Let me educate you!! China has not helped us in any way. The loans they give us, have high interest rates. The infrastructures they build are done only by Chinese companies and by Chinese citizens. They do not transfer any knowledge or skill needed for us to replicate such feat in other countries. They do not benefit us in anyway!!! |

My friend went missing in 2014. His car was eventually found in the bush in Benin. We prayed, we cried, we fasted but he never came back. The police were able to find the car after their family paid about 200k.

8Ebisco: - Theresa May says she hopes to see increased trade between Nigeria and UK
- The UK prime minister not the thriving business in Nigeria
- She said better relationship will be good for both countries
British Prime Minister, Theresa May, says she had an excellent time in Nigeria and hopes to see increased trade and investment between Nigeria and the UK.
She spoke with newsmen at the Presidential Wing of the Murtala Muhammed Airport, Ikeja on Wednesday in Lagos, shortly before departing the country at 8:10 p.m.
“I was in Abuja and also in Lagos to see the thriving business community here.
“We want to see increased trade between Nigeria and UK, increased investment, bringing jobs here in Nigeria, jobs in the UK.
“This will be good for both countries and I have had an excellent time in here in Nigeria, and I am very pleased to be here today,” she told newsmen.
Gov. Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos State, who was at the airport to see her off, said the important visit centered on improving investment in the state and the country in general.
“She has visited Abuja earlier in the day.
“The important part of this visit was discussion on how investment in Lagos can be improved by British investors.
“We realise that Lagos is the commercial capital of Nigeria and a whole lot of British investment are domiciled in Lagos,” he said.
The governor said they spoke about how to improve investment planning and what Lagos has been doing to attract investors.
“We having been doing a lot of judicial sector reforms and security sector reforms and she is pleased with the progress we are making in Lagos.
“She is ready to complement our efforts by opening up export credit facility and also with development finance to some of the things that we are doing in Lagos,” he said.
Ambode said the discussion also centred around boosting technology and improving infrastructure and the creative industry.
“We spoke about things related to technology, infrastructure and also the creative industry.”
On the relationship between Lagos and Britain, Ambode said: “we need to make sure that a whole lot of British investment is coming to Lagos. She is willing to do more with us.
“You know, Lagos in 1861 was a British colony. The history has been so long, so, we also need to reactivate that,” Ambode said.
NAN reports that the state government, in a statement by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Mr Habib Aruna, shed more light on Ambode’s discussion with May.
Ambode, according to the statement, said that much of Nigerian education, cultural and political systems were influenced by Britain and there were more Nigerians living in the UK than elsewhere in the world.
The governor said that Lagos remained a place of choice for British investors, especially given that stability in the government, the size of Lagos economy and population, as well as the particular focus of his administration on the rule of law and justice sector reform.
He also said that it would be of particular importance to Lagos State if British investors could explore the various opportunities that exist in the State in the areas of energy, technology, export finance, infrastructure and the creative industry.
“So, we spoke about how we can improve the investment climate in Lagos and then the other parts of what Lagos has been doing to attract investors.
“You know we have been doing a lot in judicial sector reforms and security sector reforms and the Prime Minister was pleased with the progress that we are making in Lagos and ready to complement our efforts by opening up export credit facility and development finance to some of the things that we are doing in Lagos State.”
The Governor expressed optimism in the strengthening of the relationship between Britain and Lagos and avowed that his administration would do whatever it takes to achieve that goal.
According to the statement, May, on her part, said that export credit finance to the tune of 750 million pounds sterling, as well as a considerable development finance was available, which Lagos State could look towards.
She also spoke about the role that British could play in the development of the technology industry in Lagos given the particular capability of the UK in that area.
The British Prime Minister also noted the special strength of the London City as a financial hub that could be of considerable importance for Lagos State, just as she emphasized sustainability and growth in Britain/Lagos relationship.
Finally, she expressed the desire of the British government to assist Lagos in the development of her creative industry and alluded to the fact that the jacket she was wearing when she met with the Governor was actually made in Nigeria.
Meanwhile, the United Kingdom says it has repatriated to Nigeria, 70 million pounds recovered from a Nigerian convict who was found guilty of fraud by an Italian court.
British High commissioner Paul Arkwright, ahead of Prime minister, Theresa May’s visit to the country, said more funds would be repatriated from the UK to Nigeria.
Source: http://www.mcebisco.com.ng/2018/08/theresa-may-speaks-after-visit-to.html For Ambode to say the bolded part, that means we have a very long way to go before we can liberate ourselves from the clutches of the western world. They got us in this mess but we chose to stay in this mess. Too bad Ambode is still a mental Slave. Despite all the education and wealthy, he’s still a slave to the white man!!! |

See them yarning rubbish. People that have no idea what it takes to run and keep a successful business.
Firstly, I strongly condemn any employer that treat their employees unfairly. Employees are entitled to 1hr break for every 8hr and 30mins extra break for anything above 8hrs. Employees should also be paid fairly and entitled to 2 weeks sick leave and 2 weeks vacation with salary still paid.
Having said that, I must add that from personal experience, The average Nigerian employee have very poor work ethic. They just want to collect salary without bringing any value or doing what they’re told effectively.
If you wanna collect big salary, what’s your value?
some actions that are very common with most Nigerian employees;
1 - coming late to work: We all know Lagos traffic na die but I expect you to be at work exactly on time. How you plan to do that is exactly your business.
2- phone calls at the work place: On numerous occasions, I’ve seen employees on their phones instead of facing their duties
3- leaving during work hours for personal activities: Happens a lot. When the manager of myself are out of office, employees tend to leave their duty post.
4- lack of motivation and initiative.
They always blame this on the “low salary”. Mind you, I run a small firm and for the size of my firm, I believe I’m paying my employers fairlyand I also provide room for bonuses tied to performance.
5- lack of empathy and poor listening skill. Lack of empathy stems from the fact that they do not see the organization as theirs and would never go Beyond Duty calls regardless of how important it is. I once lost a multimillion deal simply cos our office closes at 5 and the bidding papers came in after 5. The employee that was supposed to lock up failed to email me the papers..
All I’m saying for is that the average Naija employee often forces employers to become the monsters thT most have become. |

[b]God gave us good land, great climate free of natural disasters, natural resources and very intelligent population but our leaders have reduced us to paupers. Nigeria should be the pride of every black man on earth but the greediness of our leaders have turned us to a pariah amongst men.
I am deeply saddened by the lack of patriotism of our political class. They choose to enrich themselves and their cronies while the country slowly dies. Since our independence, things have gone downhill. We still don't have constant electricity or security of lives and properties, our children are still poorly educated while the political elites have stolen and mortgaged the future of the country.
Ahhhhh!!!! God can't help us because he has given us everything!!! What we need is a blood bath of an epic proportion. The type that would make the french revolution seem like child's play.
We need to purge the political elites, their cronies and beneficiaries from our country. We need to behead them all and put their head on a stake. Their families will be put in jail for life while a new leadership is formed.

The first step towards being a whole person is to recognize that you’re not perfect and could be mentally imbalanced like most people.
Unfortunately, there is so much taboo around mental health that people are ashamed to seek help.
Depression, suicidal thoughts, destructive temper, lack of self control, addiction, lack of empathy, extreme gullibility and many more are all signs of mental illness but most Nigerians think it’s normal!! |
